"Of course, gorf! Misha would never leave or let anyone leave someone behind." she turned toAllynna. "So."Misha said, her armor snapping away and getting comfortable in her regular top and shorts. The caravan continued to Baldur's Gate. "Allynna. Eet looks like fate has brought you to us, an opportunity, to head back home, you say, to Baldur's Gate. Why don't you tell us something about yourself. Thees way we will be friends, and strangers no longer."
"Ah!"Misha said, nodding sagely. Expecting more, but when Allynna stopped talking, there was a few moments of awkward silence and Misha knew at that point, she supposed, that that was the end of that conversation. "What about you, Perhasselhoff?"she inquired. "Tell us more about you."
While Misha converses with Allynna and Persephone, Jill turns towards the Hiriarts. "Neither of you would happen to have a spare piece of parchment and a writing utensil on your person, would you? I just need it to write a quick letter to a friend."

Amelia noticed Jill's silence, watching how the teen had been nervously fiddling with her holy symbol, but she said nothing of it until approached. She listened to the others conversations, albeit cut short, yet she seemed invested in them none the less. Corrin was bouncing in her seat again, she also listening to the get to know each other conversations going about the wagon. Amelia was the one who heard Jill's inquiry, the blonde searching in her pack for her journal, pulling it out and carefully ripping out a blank page before handing it to her. When she takes the paper she puts away the journal and takes out a pencil, handing it to her as well. "There you go."

Dear Natasha,
I hope that this letter finds you and the children doing well in Waterdeep. I'm currently en route to Baldur's Gate for a job that I am doing. You'll be happy to know that I'm not alone on this job, I'm working with other people and they are pretty nice. Misha's here. I did not think that I would see her again, but here she is and she is still as adorable as she was when we last saw her. She misses you, but is happy to hear that you are doing well and that you are helping people. There is also a mother and daughter here that are heading to Baldur's Gate hoping to find the girl's father. I have not said anything out of respect for the pair, but I am not thinking that they have the intention of this being a heartwarming reunion. I like them, though. The girl is very cute and sweet and the mother reminds me of you a little bit, except that she is older. Not that she's grey and wrinkly, she is very attractive. Not that I'm into her, that would be weird, she's old enough to be my mother. *Jill can be seen blushing after she writes that bit* But she is very nice and she cares about me more than most people do. Even if she treats me like a child, which I am not and you know as much, you've seen me kill people and drink alcohol.
There is also a frog-woman, which is very odd, but she seems nice enough and is good at casting spells, so I'm fine with her being with us. Although it still seems like there's a lot that I do not know about her, but outside of Misha, there's a lot that they do not know about me, so I cannot complain there. There's a goblin who is better mannered than most goblins, and by that I mean that he helps us instead of being a menace to larger society. He is still very rude and thinks that all humans look alike, which is kind of racist, to be honest. And an elf joined our party yesterday. She just randomly showed up when we were in the middle of a fight (that we won handily, so do not concern yourself with our health) and helped us and then asked about a caravan that was headed to Baldur's Gate. And then we sort of took her in without really introducing ourselves.
There is more that I would like to say to you, but as you are able to see, I am running out of space to write on. I hope that you and the children remain safe and happy and I hope that this job provides me with enough money to keep me fed and sheltered for a while. Perhaps I might even get some time to myself during this job that I could use to run up and pay you a visit. Would you like that? I will be sending you this letter when I arrive in Baldur's Gate, so if you wish to send a letter of your own in response, simply send it to the return address on the envelope.
Sincerely,
Jill Moon

Following the River Chionthar west, we were days away from Baldur's Gate, our final destination. Our last stop of civilization was Fort Morninglord, where the summer festival was in full swing. Fresh flower garlands were strung from building to building and the narrow cobblestone streets were packed with visitors. The air was humid and heady with the aroma of spices and treats. Children were clothed in whimsical costumes and played in the streets. As we took the time to relax, eat, and enjoy the festivities.
The Maker’s District in the city square was filled with artisanal shops of all kinds: luthiers, ceramicists, haberdashers, milliners, and more carried on the old traditions of their families, bringing beautiful creations to life. During the summer festival, they opened their doors to let in the pleasant weather and invite visitors to peruse their wares. One such shop, though, is boarded and abandoned. A faded wooden sign that reads “Sophie’s Toy Shop” swung mournfully in the balmy breeze, but the revelers in the square pay little mind to this relic of a bygone era, enraptured by jesters performing magical tricks to the delight of children.
A little girl of about eight came up to us, clearly we looked like outsiders, and she pleaded with us for assistance in some manner.
“Please, help me! My brother is asleep and I can’t wake him up!”she said.
The little girl wears a faded red dress with a large bow; her brown hair is slightly mussed, curly strands pulled loose from her braid. She wears a dress made of thick velvet and is not quite a “summertime” ensemble. However, she doesn’t display discomfort at wearing such an outfit in hot weather.
"I am Chava!"she squeaks, tugging on Jills top, beckoning her to follow. "Come! I will show you!"she says. She walks with a strange shuffle. “The others are still sleeping, too.” she admits. You step into a musty artisan’s shop. Sunlight emanates through the front windows, illuminating the particles of dust in the air. A workbench in the middle of the front room is covered with rusted tools and the disassembled pieces of several toys. Other toys lay scattered around the shop, slumped over and covered in grime. "My mother has been gone for quite some time now, but i'm sure she'll come back soon!"
The shop contains two rooms; the front room that faces the street is the main work space and storefront, and a back room serves as storage.
Several sets of tools in the shop, including artisan’s tools, tinker’s tools, and woodcarver’s tools. On the workbench is a small wooden wolf and in-progress carvings of a little girl, a sparrow, and a snake. A small closet beside the workbench contains cleaning supplies, aprons, scrap materials.
Alerted by the sound of someone coming in, a modron tridrone emerges from the back room aftera few moments. It looks first at the characters, and then to Chava. The construct speaks to Chava in Modron, clucking its tongue at her, and Chava responds in the same language; characters who know Modron can interpret the following conversation:
“You can’t just bring anyone in here!”says the tridrone. “What if you left and Sophie returned?”
“It’s okay!”Chava responds.“They are nice. They are here to help wake up Sasha!”
The tridone scowls mechanically and says, “Well, make sure they stay quiet, or they’ll wake the others, too.”
Chava continues to the back room and asks you all to follow. Although this room is smaller, it’s packed full of the toymaker’s creations, most of which are dolls, puppets, and modrons, all of which are inanimate. Slumped against the back wall is a large creature made of clay. Chava approaches the golem and pokes its arm; her finger leaves an indentation. “Sasha! We have visitors!”She frowns. “See? He won’t wake up!”
Persephone is a little freaked out by the walking and talking toys, as well as the clay humanoid. She'll slowly back away to the rear of the group, and warily keep an eye on the little girl, as well as keeping an eye out for this obvious trap.
"Yes!"Chava says, "Sasha has been asleep for too long!” But then she remembered something. "He loves his Wolfie! Can you find it for him? Maybe that will wake him up! He loves to play with it!”

Barely above a whisper, you can faintly make out Persephone singing to herself from the back of the group:
“Sleep my little baby-oh
Sleep until you waken
When you wake you'll see the world
If I'm not mistaken...
Kiss a lover
Dance a measure,
Find your name
And buried treasure...
Face your life
Its pain,
Its pleasure,
Leave no path untaken.”
Finally, more clearly and loudly, Persephone queries “Where is your brother now, child?”

Allynna watches the girl quietly. This is wasting time. And possibly a social trap. Who knows where she'll lead us?
She's a little girl in need of help, 'Lynna. The whole world isn't as two-faced as court.
...I guess you're right. Allynna gives the girl a small smile while she talks to Jill.
