Expressionless, Aleister watches the execution. When it's done he nods and says softly, "A violent man will die a violent death, and that will be the essence of the teaching."
Aleister will have Ofn and Terfysgeath up about 500 meters and ahead to left a right of the party about the same distance. If they spot anything they will fly back and tell him.
Sarah would like to know where her Granny might be found- has she had to leave her home? Also, any news on what has been bothering the town?
Granny is still in her house, but she has taken in some borders. The wandering monster stays in the DARPA complex so everyone stays out and there's no more trouble.
Sarah then asks if it would be alright if they continue to ToC. Maybe trade and speak to whoever is in charge. She'd also like to know if they've noticed magic and if anyone in ToC is proficient.
Aleister will chat up the medical/shaman folk of ToC to see what sort of useful information about the area, flora and fauna. He is particularly interested in where he might find scorpions or Gila Monsters, but really any sort of natural nastiness will do.

As has become standard procedure for Thomas, he will make contact with anyone practicing magic in the town, teaching and swapping spells while they are they and committing yet another face to his memory for his envisioned mage communication network."Once I can figure out the spells, we can stay in touch and help each other in various ways."

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar

I thought you'd want to visit your Grandmother? Because strangely or not magic runs in the family.

OOC:Sorry asking for the group if that was okay- trying to gain access to the town. I hope you get better soon and don't push yourself. Okay, 'mum' routine done.
Anyway, Sarah will go visit with her grandmother as soon as possible.

Of to grandma’s place we go. (Is your cloak by chance red?)
She’s in her vegetable garden pulling weeds but she sees you and comes for a hug “Sarah! I knew you’d make it home.” Since you’ve been away she has got herself a golden retriever who comes over and sniffs your butt.
Giving her grandmother a hug, she breaths a sigh of relief. She'd almost given up hope- of either her granny being alive or making it all the way to Truth or Consequences. Then she feel the prodding around her backside. Sarah gives the dog the evil eye before giving in and giving it a pat. Once the joys of reunion are over, she wants to know how her granny has been and what her plans are. Maybe ask about the rumors of the town being harassed. Then, of course, she brings up Gramps and that strange little book...

While the family reunion is underway, George scouts the surrounding area, looking for evidence of the DARPA critters, foul magicks and/or anything unusual in the town.

"Well now, that stings a bit." Aleister flaps his hand around as though he had tried to hold onto a flame. He'll try again later, in the mean time he will canvas the good folk of ToC for information about the surrounding area, DARPA and it's environs, rumors about strange goings on, and, of course, he will talk to any 'shaman' healer types about healing.

No real trouble with the cartel because they are stuck in a stalemate with El Paso

I've been very sick for the last two days. Endless coughing, no sleep, headache plus loss of voice.
I'm sort of feeling a little better this morning so I may go missing if I manage to fall asleep.
