Once things seem settled, Thomas comes out of the darkness, saying "I'm getting a little tired of random strangers appearing just as we are about to assault enemy strongholds, and joining us willy-nilly. Do any of you even think this might be a plant? How can we confirm veracity?" while eyeing the newcomer warily, crossbow cocked, loaded and shimmering with heat.
“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
“I just asked for some civility. If I was an enemy I wouldn’t just stand and look at you.”, Sullivan’s attitude noticeably changed from weary and untrusting, to more friendly and loose. A gentle smile appeared on his face. “Oh so you are going to fight. Good to know.”, waiting for their own discussions concerning himself to finish, Sullivan sits down on the ground and starts chanting under his breath.
Just note that Deer Island isn't actually an island. The Lord's manor is about 800m from the river. It is a preChange two story house with a palisade surrounding it. The countryside is made up of small farms run by tenant farmers and serfs. There are some forest where you can see the house from cover.

The gate to the palisade is open with 4 men-at-arms on guard. There are various servants do work around the house plus the peasants are in the fields doing peasant stuff.
“Go over the back wall around midnight?” Aleister suggests. “It is an appropriate time for our dark work, wouldn’t you agree?” He chuckles softly. “I always loved ironies. I mean, did you ever play ‘Baldur’s Gate? Remember how Mince was alwaYs going on about how dark was the best time to be hunting evil? Well, here we are, hunting evil.”
"Wretched slavers. Go for the eyes was good advice for their sort," Sarah says with a smile of reminiscence. "Going at nightfall would make certain things easier but the gates will likely be shut."
"You climb up and secure a rope, take out any guards up there, and we'll follow."

If she has a moment, Sarah will trade her Fly for Darkness. Then she will proceed to the door, keeping and eye out for anyone in there with Hedwig's assistance.
Once inside the compound, Thomas casts Detect Magic from hiding telling the others "If he's on the second floor, let me check it out first, just in case someone isn't following the PPA restriction against magic." and checks for magical and non-magical alarms.
