Still holding his wand of detect magic (I assume it is still active), he would very slowly approach the bodies. "Hey.. are you OK!?" He would ask... looking to see if there is anything magical going on with the bodies before attempting to roll one of them over.
Whistler swings his blade at the first wight which quickly ducks the attack but Whistler follows up with a quick punch that lands causing the wight to grunt in pain.
This same wight turns and with 2 longswords begins attacking Darvin who is able to duck and weave and evade the attacks. The second wight also moves to attack Darvin, 2 longswords whirling as one cuts Darvin in the leg and the second glances off his armor but does no injury
The third wight steps back and fires 2 arrows at Tibi but they both miss and clatter to the floor the shafts broken.

Gilbert would clutch his staff while quickly casting Dragon's Breath in a panic. As smoke begins to billow from his nostrils, he would try to circle around to the side of his companion and open his mouth to unleash a violent cone of flame towards the three wights.

Tibi charges the wight that fired arrows at him and drives his blades at it. Both blades pierce the creature and it howls in frustration. Darvin throws a magical barrier up and the blow that would have hit glances off the unseen shielding leaving him unharmed. He retaliates with his own cut at the wight that drives the blade deep into the creature.
Gilbert maneuvers himself and opening his mouth he unleashes a violent cone of flame towards the three wights.

Whistler focuses on trying to drop these enemies as they seem tougher that he first thought. He slashes with his sword and following with his off hand strike again.
You successfully attack the remaining wights and in a few moments cut the 2 remaining ones down. Their robes and weapons fall to the ground as their ethereal bodies dissolve.
You don't find anything of interest on the bodies of the wights but old swords and bows.
Searching the rest of the chamber you find that a small side room is partially collapsed around a stone sarcophagus. You find three spellbooks beneath the dust and humanoid bones in the sarcophagus. You imagine the books were probably stolen from murder victims.
Gil's eyes would go wide as he let out an excited squeel. "THIS IS AMAZING!!" he would shout as he scooped up the books. He would quickly take note of the spells and record the books into his log book before pulling the locked chest from his bag of holding. He would then mutter a command word to deactivate the arcane lock quiet enough that no one else could hear before unlocking the lock with his key and stuffing the books inside. "We have collected four spell books now! Do you know how much money we can make off selling these.. of course I want to copy the spells into my own book first... but we could make scrolls or sell these for a lot of coin!" he would add looking to the others. "Of course we will split the money among ourselves and Aquisitions INC of course." He would finish with a grin.

Searching the rest of the chamber you find that a small side room is partially collapsed around a stone sarcophagus. You find three spellbooks beneath the dust and humanoid bones in the sarcophagus. You imagine the books were probably stolen from murder victims.
Spellbook 1 is bound in red leather and contains the following spells: burning hands, detect magic, disguise self, fog cloud, ray of sickness, silent image.
Spellbook 2 has the personal rune of its previous owner burned into its umber cover. This book contains the following spells: charm person, find familiar, identify, magic missile, sleep.
Spellbook 3 is bound in scaly black reptile hide and contains the following spells: cloud of daggers, darkvision, detect magic, feather fall, mage armor, magic missile, Tasha’s hideous laughter.
