Kaelani scans the chains, trying to estimate how high they would be from the ground to be beyond the demon hordes surrounding the devils at the posts? In other words, climbing down the chains, if they stopped at a point about 20 feet away from the edge of the demons encirclement, could he tie a rope to the chain and climb down to the surface?
Lulu shakes her head. "No, you all weight too much. However during our rest I remembered some of my old powers, especially being back here in Avernus. I could teleport us to Fort Knucklebone. It is familiar to me and would be easy to do. From there I know a couple of kenku junk scavengers named Chukka and Clonk, whom I think can provide assistance."
((If one of you is interested in taking control of Lulu let know.))
Almost instantaneously you find yourselves away from Elturil and outside the gates of the fort that Lulu spoke of.
A fortified compound sits atop a low plateau that rises out of a crater-pocked landscape. At the center of the compound is a hill of rust-colored stone that resembles a hand clawing out of the ground, with gaps between the fingers. A jagged wall made of rock, bones, and metal debris surrounds this hand-shaped hill. Other highlights visible from this distance include a gatehouse, atop which stands a half-dozen small figures on watch.
As you approach the gatehouse which serves as the entrance to Fort Knucklebone you see six redcaps stand guard atop it.
One redcap yells down at you as you approach, asking for the password. After a few moments, a different redcap says, “We don’t have a password!” All the redcaps fall over in peals of mirth.
When they are done they resume questioning you. "So you want entry eh? How about a dance, can you dance? We wanna see you dance!"
Tibi yells back whilst flourishing his rapiers "how about a dance to first blood then? I win you let us in and one of you serves us for a period of one month and one day. You win and you still let us in but I tell everybody I see for a period of one month and one day how I was beaten by a Redcap from Fort Knucklebone!" (Persuasion = 3)
(OOC: hopefully the Redcaps take Tibi up on his offer without needing to be persuaded)
"Bahahahahaha!" The Redcaps roll in laughter again as you trade insults and watch Darvin dance. "Woo hoo! That was worth the price of admission! Come on in!"
As they open the gate and allow you in, you can still here them laughing. You see that the area enclosed by the rampart is littered with trash and mechanical parts, some put together in a way that resembles a vehicle. Ramshackle structures, built from the same junk as the outer wall, provide shelter.
A platoon of small fey creatures mills about, all looking like feral gnomes. Several them sport tall red caps, some of which drip with vile ichor.
A pair of kenku examine one of the strange vehicles, chattering to each other in high-pitched squawks. These kenku carry an assortment of strange tools. When they see you, they turn and stare in wonder.
One of the kenku waves in your direction as if telling you to remain where you are. “What a deal! Patience is a virtue! Can’t keep the boss waiting!” He runs off into one of the trash structures.
Moments later he returns, leading a tall creature wearing a long, tattered shift covered in mud, blood, mold, and worse.
The hag’s eyes seem to move independently of each other as she approaches, her straggly brown hair hanging in front of them. Resting on each shoulder are red-eyed ravens that scrutinize your group. Behind her, a hulking creature built of disparate fiendish parts trudges, moaning and hopping as it walks.
Then both of the hag’s eyes focus keenly on your group, and on Lulu specifically. “My goodness!” the hag croaks, spittle dribbling from her mouth. “Where did you find such a treasure?”
As they walk past the Redcaps, Drabash looks over at them and their sickles and pulling out his battles axes says "not bad weapons you've got their lads but they look a little cumbersome? Can you do something like this?" as he launches into a series of strikes and flourishes which finishes with him sending both axes up into the air twirling end over end before catching them both simultaneously.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Darvin is paying close attention to the hag's facial expressions, trying to discern whether she shows a sense of recognition of Lulu, or merely interest. But evidently his recent dance show has his mind a little out of sorts.
"Oh yes, you are a treasure." The hag responds. She looks around at the group. "Name is Mad Maggie and I run this place. What brings you to Fort Knucklebone?"
Drabash looks at Mad Maggie "my ma was called Mad Maggie or sumthink like that. You look like I 'member her too be. You aint 'er is ya?"Tibi looks over Drabash and says "listen my friend your mother may well have been called Mad Maggie as well but I can assure you that this good woman is not your mother." He turns to Mad Maggie and says "Maniacal Margaret is it - nice alliteration by the way,"as he doffs his hat and bows with a flourish "I am Cracticus Tibicen, decionist of the Baldur's Gate chapter of Acquisitions Incorporated and am at your service." As he stands back up he continues "you know how it is you offer to help out a friend and then one thing leads to another and you find yourself in a place you never wanted to be! Why are we here - well to put it simply we are looking for a friend of this creature" pointing to Lulu "who it appears may have been trapped here against her will and nature?"
"A friend eh? Here, in hell?" Mad Maggie replies but at the same time the two kenku approach and Lulu flaps happily around them.
Lulu suddenly bursts out "I remember, I remember! Zariel’s most loyal Hellrider, Yael, took the sword and plunged it into a rock. I called on every ounce of goodness in my heart to raise a shield around it — a fortress against evil. It was Zariel who sent me back here. I don’t know why. Maybe — just maybe — there’s a tiny little spark of goodness deep down inside her still. I wandered Avernus for a while, then hid in a place called the Wandering Emporium. I made a friend there. His name was Mahdi. Maybe he can help us."
Mad Maggie looks carefully at Lulu. "Lost some memories eh? I could help with that if that will help you? I can perform a ritual that creates a dreamscape in which the hollyphant’s memories can be perceived." She looks at your party. "I would need your help though."
Lulu quickly accepts. "If you can unlock my memories then I'll remember where we need to go!"

"Come now," Darvin says with a grin. "It's not every day we get to show off our moves now, is it?"
Transforming himself to look like an attractive female Yuan-Ti clad in scant belly-dancer attire, he begins a series of sensuous serpentine gyrations.
