Moss will get up from the table and head outside with her pack. Following the others. A little sluggish, but her long gait helps her catch up a bit quicker than most. She'll help move crates or lift them depending on what they decide.
Margret, you try to open the chest but for some reason you are unable to move the mechanism inside the lock. After trying for 15 min you stop for a moment to take a closer look at the chest and the lock, but everything looks normal, simple and sturdy. You give it a second try but again no luck. Frustrated you pass the open leather pouch with your tools to Maltake who was watching you. And he barely even starts to touch the lock and it already snaps open.
Inside you find several small leather bags containing a total of 600 copper pieces and 110 silver, 2 vials with a bright red liquid and finally a velvet pouch containing a jade figurine of a bonsai tree, the leaves are made of gold.
Astonishment is present on Margret's face
"Well, would you look at that Mal! I've never seen such a beautiful piece" Referring to the tree "May I ask where you found this box?"
This came from the same cave where we rescued Sildar.
The thoughts of Mine, mine, all mine. go through his head but Mal reins in his more materialistic impulses.
I guess I'd better let the others know what we've found. We need to find someone who knows how to value this jade figurine.
Mal carefully places the items in a sack and motions to Margaret to follow him to the Common Room. Not finding them there, he goes to the stable.
If the others are still there:
Hey guys. Lookee what we have here. We don't need to pay the blacksmith to open this chest.
We have copper, silver and what I guess are potions and......with a flourish he shows the jade figurine.....this little thing. I do believe the ancient law of "Finder's Keepers, Losers Weepers" loosely applies to this.
So how do you want to split this? And anyone can guess how much this figurine costs
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
When Kai first comes out to see Nobody, the tiefling was seated in the driver seat, staring at the hand covered up in torn up cloth. He says nothing at first, so caught was he in thoughts. But even after coming around the tiefling speaks, and yet continues to look at it. "Do you know any tales about how the tieflings came to be? Or of some of the methods some bloodlines went to try and 'right' the wrongs of their ancestor?"In waiting for an answer, he lowers the hand after a while to look at the duo. Even the answer is a simple 'no', seeing or hearing the others approach, Nobody lost in thought look is subsumed by a somewhat forced carefree smile as he turns to regard them.
"The coin is of little matter of me, and... hardly deserved, if I were to be honest in my case." His smile turns to a brief smirk. "But if I may at least examine one of those potions and the figurine? The former, I'll admit, I may be more familiar with. But for the latter, I may be able to drudge up something, so that at very least none are cheated."Nobody said, appearing for the moment to have forgotten about Kai's questioning. Once he had each in hand, he'll give the potion over, even going so far as to unstopper the thing briefly for a sniff to confirm a brewing theory. For the figurine, he is speculative and wary to the point of handing back the potion just so he can have both hands on it.
In the end, he relays whatever he picks up in matter of fact way before pressing, "So, shall we be off then?"
Zurzg looks with interest at the figurine. “Zurzg not know what was in chest, Krul guard chest, shout at goblins if we go near. Zurzg understand why now.”
The two potions look very much like two minor healing potions.
The figurine looks like a small bonsai made of jade, the craftsmen ship is so detailed you can make out the texture of the "earth" in the square base and veins on the gold leafs. You are sure the leafs are gold, but it is not soft as gold should be. Beside the details and small parts, it feels extremely robust, even unnaturally so.
Kai goes to ask Nobody more, but as the other join, she let's the conversation go for now with just a headshake no and a smile. She speaks softly to Nobody. "A conversation for later? When you're ready." There's a pause as Kai looks at the loot Mal brought along with the tag along Margaret trailing behind him. "I suppose we could attempt to split it evenly? Or use it as a group funds for whatever we find useful. Like carts or rooms and food? And I see you brought Magaret with you Mal."
Kai offers a kind smile at Magaret. "Would you like to join us as we deliver our things? You can go shopping with us afterwards or lead some of us to your friend. Whatever our group decides to do."
Kai can't help but give Nobody the occasional look but let's their conversation linger in her head for now as she helps load as many extra boxes onto the cart without making it too much for Betsy. Suddenly a thought comes to her. "Maybe we use some of those extra spoils to purchase any maps we might need of the surrounding area? Or future areas to come. Maps are quite expensive sometimes."
Without meeting her eyes, Nobody faintly nodded in response to Kai's question before the eventual examinations. By the end of which he returns the potions to Mal, but would say, "If someone else do not mind driving, I would ride along to test one more thing with this one. See if there's more here than meets the eye."He scratches his chin. "Even if proven incorrect, the whole design of this will fetch given its unique design should fetch an easy... forty to fifty gold minimum at least."At that, he scoots over for someone else to take the driver seat as he began intoning words of power over it.
(Nobody's next plane is to cast Detect Magic as a ritual while riding along. If its not possible to do so however, he will spend the spell slot for the immediate use of it.)

She shrugs and talks to Kai
"I'll join you, but I haven't earned anything, my lockpicking was a failure Mol was the one who unlocked the chest with my tools" she looks embarrassed
"I have about 29 Dragons left so I can go shopping with you only cause you are a pleasant person to be around Kai"
"I could drive if you want me to but my experience is as a guard and a scout"
"She looks aghast when she hears the word goblin coming from the very source
"Um' I had no Idea that you had him in your party, "
ooc: thats how I was playing it
IC: "but honestly I don't really care now that I think of it."

"Kai, If I were you I would suggest to ask him not to use the word" then she whispers "Goblin"
Kai nods in understanding and smiles, looking to Zurzg. "Keep that in mind okay Zurzg? We don't want the townsfolk to try to get rid of you." Kai then looks to Moss. "I suppose one of us could drive the cart? Is there anything left that needs to be pulled separately or has it all fit on the cart?"
(Are all of the boxes able to fit on the cart now that no one is riding in the back?)

Most of you gather in the stables. Nobody already prepared the cart and is sitting next to the drivers seat holding a beautiful little sculpture of a tree. He is mumbling some arcane phrases that you don’t understand. The cart is very full, but Hazel and Ostran reasure you that it is only a 5 minutes walk to Barthens Provisions. Betsy gets a bit nervous when she smells Zurzg, but Kai is able to calm her down. Ostran and Hazel show you the way and Kai is leading Betsy onto the street. Zurzg tries to hide between Kai and Betsy, which makes the Horse snap at him. The cart is very full, but with Moss pushing, Betsy is able to pull it down the road.
Once you walk past the front door of the inn, you can see Ree’lyn waiting outside of a more fancy looking house to the south on the other side of the central crossroad. Like the Inn and another building at the north west corner of the crossroad, this building has a permanent flame magically burning over its entrance.
Ostran tells you that that Ree’lyn is in front of the mayors house and that the building to the north west is the local Temple dedicated to the goodness of Luck.
Like Hazel promissed you only walk 5 minutes and you are at the edge of the village. A big house with an open shed next to it is on your right. You arrived at Barthens Provisions.

He sees the wagon full of Boxes and crates behind you on the road,”Ah, you got the delivery, don’t you? Just a moment i get master Barthens. You see lanterns, tools, barrels, sacks with grain, basically anything you may want if you are a miner, builder or farmer. The shop is well stocked but you can see empty spaces on the shelfs here and there. Only the shelf right next to the entrance is completely empty, because it is being repaired at the moment. A moment latter the young man returns with a lean bald man who may be around fifty years old. “Good morning, Anders here told me you got a delivery for me? I am Elmar Barthen, pleasure to meet you.”

She quietly asks Mal on the way back to the group
"So, can anyone in our little group figure out whether or not this tree is magic. It looks finely crafted."
She tilts her head to listen then outta the blue she says
"I do think you are Kinda handsome Mal, What do you think about me?"
