Trogon raises his hand and whispers to Gregor: " I haven't got a flask yet". " I hope we won't find the troll today so I can prepare better spells." " Anyway, we'll see."

The party follows the tracks, leading to a more hilly part of the forest. The ground rises and droops every so often, but not much as to trip any of the party. As the party continues after the tracks, they can hear snarls and hissing up ahead. "Pothoc! Wux origato pluvt jutosh!". To most of the party, it sounds of cryptic words mixed with noises but to some, it is a language they are familiar with.
Trogon raises his hand and whispers to Gregor: " I haven't got a flask yet". " I hope we won't find the troll today so I can prepare better spells." " Anyway, we'll see."
Wordlessly, Gregor hands the other flask in passing to Trogon. Hearing the voices later down the line, Gregor lets out a "Psst!" for any ambling forward followed by a halting gesture.
"There's... two of them. Perhaps even three at least by the sounds of it. Arguing over lost game."
He pauses, lightly tapping the chin of his mask.
"By pitch and tone, it sounds we may have found some kobolds. Meaning keeping at least one alive to learn of more might be good... But in any case, they aren't aware of our presence. Yet. Tren. You can go ahead for a look. See if there's a blind angle some of us can approach from. Take Niosse with you as back up. If there's no good angle for the rest of us to sneak up closer, but you have a good shot... take it, but be sure to call out a signal for the less... capable to charge in, and blindside them."
"If your spotted however, lure them to the rest of us if they don't look ready to bolt themselves. Make yourself look pathetic if you have to. Agreed?"

(To Storm: He is, and he mentioned having to jager(yager?) his character for combat. Though that can be left to the DM)
Gregor shakes his head.
"I considered that already. But, unless you can speak the tongue of dragons, it will not work out as you wish. Not entirely, if at all. And by the sounds of it, there is more than one there. So, as soon as you expose yourself in /any/ way, and they suspect magic to be up, the others will overwhelm you before you have the chance to retreat to lure any other."
After all that whispering, Gregor sighs and lightly taps his chin again. A nervous tic by anyone's imagining now, if not trained habit.
"... But, if you do not mind the risk, we will make this two fold then. Niosse and Tren will use what ground there is to get into position quietly and cover you when... /if/ things turn sour. And we'll use the rest will use the noise as a signal to charge in, and hopefully keep them off balance. And if things don't, you lure back in the one to be detained for questioning. The rest we take out as soon as the creature is secured."
Hearing the cracks of the branches trogon freezes and makes a birdsound (nature 7) he knows well hoping that the kobolds will believe a bird made the sound.

(But the mooing still happened.)
The group hides behind trees and in some divots along the hills. Further up, you can see two small heads come over the hill. They peer about before climbing over, revealing their scaly bodies and primitive wear. They look confused as they continue to look about.

But their effort proves to be fruitless, as the imaginary cow is nowhere and your all are still hidden. They then continue to bicker,
"Chief want big feast! But you bad at hunt! You will make chief mad!"
(Niossae will be botted until they come back. Mostly my botting will follow with what the group agrees to do and which target seems to be more urgent. RP-wise, they will be silent and most major actions will go with group decisions.)
