Bukowyr is now closer to his companions, looking at the illusory drama being played in front of them looking for a breach into the creature's machinations to expose itself to them.

Kai lightly places a hand on Bukowyr's shoulder and looks to him. "Let me try. They may respond easier?" Kai will slowly approach the children and kneel before them. Studying them for a moment for any deceit before she will speak softly. "Now now.... It's alright. We need to ask you a few more questions if we are going to help you." Kai will reach into her pack and get her note ook, moving to do a quick sketch of the outline of the house in her book as she talks to the 'children'.

Go ahead and make that with advantage due to how you've been approaching them.

And the roll an investigation check (I'll consider that roll in case the persuasion one was successful) to determine how well you are able to interprete their description of the house.

So you got them to calm down, Thorn just remained sobbing while Rose turned to Kai and said: "We weren't allowed much in the rest of the house...I know our room is in the attic" (you guys can see that is a building with three floors) and then she goes on with references that are hard to get down on paper, but she pretty much describes a house with dining room, kitchen and a room where daddy has a stag’s head and some stuffed wolves. It was clear to you Kai that they didn't know much of their own house as they spent just too much time on their room.

Kai nods and makes those notes either in the drawing of the building or off the the side for reference later. Kai thinks momentarily before asking gently. "And where is the beast?"

"The house stinks of undead..." Benito, is surprised to see that the children themselves seem to be unaware that they are projections/illusions.. "Something is amiss, that much we already know. I would not feel satisfied leaving this home to the dead but I will submit to the groups will."

 Not really, unless there is something specific that you have in mind, otherwise it's described as a house, a big one, but still a house.

 (It sounds like the kids aren't allowed to get out of their room much, so Torvus is wondering if there's something they weren't allowed to see. For instance, if they have no idea where the kitchen is, but the house is big enough to have a kitchen, that might seem suspicious to him.)

Kai, after getting what the kids know about the whereabouts of the beast (previous post), will look to her group in thought, her notebook still open to the house drawing. "I say we go inside? But with caution.  We need to figure out what is going on here one way or another. I can keep track of a map in my notebook." She'll give the group some time to make their decisions.

Kai will then turn to the girl and speak to her gently. "You show as illusionary magic. Do you know why?"

"Illusionary magic!? that's a lie! why are you lying to us?" Rose kind of take her distance from Kai and then Thorn will say "Mean blue lady lies! we are kids!"

Kai tenses a little but offers the kids a small smile. "I never said you weren't kids. All I said was that you also show as Illusionary magic. Maybe something in the house is causing that?" Kai will offer ththe kids a slight reassuring smile, even though she herself knows the truth. Better to keep  them cooperative than hostile. She thinks.

After a moment she will nod to the house. "How about you two stay here while we check out the house and sort this mess out?" 

(Did the kids not give an answer to the whereabouts of the beast? Since I asked that before pointing out the illusions?)
