Damn, 35 damage? Is that right? She's still alive. :)
Despite the strange sensation pulsing through Burik's body, the dwarf has been backed into a corner and responds accordingly. He slams into Umog with his shield, transferring the dark energy into her as she staggers back. As she does, she's pummeled from behind by Burik's spiritual weapon. She leans over, clearly injured and surprised to have been dealt such a crushing blow. She lets out an angry roar and stands back up.
Below deck, the boss goblin continues to struggle against the genasi's power...
Cadmael will do one of two things, depending on what is happening on the deck:
If the surviving Ballista goblin has reloaded his ballista, but not yet aimed it at anything, Cadmael will ready his action to swoop in and fire that ballista to cause chaos. XD
If the ballista goblin has given up on using the ballista, Cadmael will give Burik advantage on his next attack again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
He abandoned the ballista to charge at you with his scimitar. Burik will have advantage on his next attack. Also, DNDBeyond's editing sucks - I didn't edit any dice, and then when I save it CHANGES the rolls. Ugh.
On the cargo deck, Brask has finally connected with his maul. The goblin boss, still frozen in place, feels the pain of breaking bones as the minotaur bashes his weapon into his side. Struggling to free himself still, he looks up to see the water genasi send another blue flame hurdling towards him... Produce Flame
With advantage, she hits and crits. The flame explodes on his chest and he is flung backward against the wall. Finally dead, he slumps over onto the deck. The genasi seems pleased to be rid of him.
Back up on the main deck, Effort is attacked by the only remaining goblin on the stern of the ship.
Attack: 16 Damage: 8
Burik readies himself for the two goblins attacking by Umog's side...
Attack: 13 Damage: 5
The second attack missed originally, so I took it out.
Quick update now that archer, boss, and friendly goblins are dead (RIP friendly goblin). On the main deck Effort and the ballista goblin are on the forestern of the ship. Burik is facing off against Umog and two goblins. One of the goblins hasn't been touched, but Umog and the other goblin look pretty messed up.
On the cargo deck, Brask and the water genasi are facing off against two goblins. Neither has been hit yet. The water genasi has a deep cut across her shoulder, but looks OK.
Effort senses the dire situation you're all in, and channels whatever focus she can. She senses a connection between herself and the hexed captain, and as she unleashes the blast of energy, she guides it toward Umog's face. It splashes against the captain's cheek with a burning, dark energy. Pieces of greenish flesh rip off, and the fire engulfs half of her face as she is knocked sideways, hitting the railing of the ship and tumbling into the churning river below. All that is left is a little burning black hair and a scorched eyeball.
Down in the cargo area, the goblins charge forward to avenge their boss. One swings at Brask...
You could use a healing potion, sure. Also, the genasi killed the goblin boss on her turn. So you can try to heal the friendly goblin or attack one of the two remaining enemy goblins. I'll let you re-roll your attack since you won't have advantage.
Brask will heal the plucky little goblin, a little surprised at his tender heart. He'll try to position himself so that the next attacks fall on him, and not on the goblin.
Burik, your spiritual weapon misses, but you swing your warhammer so hard that it not only knocks off the head of the weakened goblin, but also follows through and cracks into the shoulder of the goblin behind him. He's still up but his arm is hanging from its socket and he is barely standing.
On the cargo deck, Brask shields the body of the friendly goblin and hastily pours a healing potion into his mouth. The goblin's eyes jerk open. He crawls backward on the floor in a panic, not sure what to make of whatever just happened to him.
The water genasi seems relieved, but turns her attention quickly to the two remaining goblins. She thrusts her hand forward as an arrow-shaped cloud zips through the air at one of the goblins. Acid Arrow
Attack: 17 Damage: 13
The arrow fires with deadly precision. It slides through the first goblin's chest and out his back, eventually exploding in a cloud of acid on the second goblin. Its skin begins to burn and peel off as it staggers forward with scimitar raised. "Arrrggghhh, you *****!"
As Effort shoves the goblin, a forceful current of electricity shoots through her hands and into his chest. He explodes backward, smashing into one of the ballistas and falling to the ground, dead.
Down on the cargo deck, the final goblin swings his blade at Brask.
Attack: 13 Damage: 8
Brask is up. One goblin left downstairs with you. Then Burik on the main deck. One goblin there as well.
The goblin, on the absolute edge of death, somehow stumbles at just the right time and avoids Brask's maul. It smashes into the wall next to him, sending splinters of wood raining down.
Back up on the main deck, the last remaining goblin throws himself down at Burik's feet. "Pl-please...please don't kill me."
Burik is up, then Cadmael.

Round 5: Deck goblins (2) > Effort > Cargo deck goblins (2) > Umog > Brask > Burik > Cadmael > Water Genasi > Ballista goblin
DM - Above & Below
Effort, attempting to dodge the goblin harassing her, sees Burik getting pummeled and attempts to aid him with an eldritch blast:
Attack: 18
Damage: 10
Necrotic: 2
Aiming at Umog or the two goblins next to her?
It hasn't come up much, but I do plan to use cleave when appropriate. Hopefully will be for some of these remaining goblins.
DM - Above & Below
(given hex damage I guess Umog?)
Ah, duh. Thanks.

Down in the cargo area, the goblins charge forward to avenge their boss. One swings at Brask...
Attack: 8 Damage: 8
The other at the water genasi...
Attack: 21 Damage: 3
Brask is up, then Burik with advantage.
DM - Above & Below
Burik swings against the hurt goblin, while the spiritual weapon attacks the other.
Hammer 23 : 6
Spiritual weapon 12 : 4
(adv on 1st attack, cause I forgot.... 18 )
(Hoping that I still have advantage on attacking the goblin boss?)
Attack: 22 Damage: 9 Crit damage: 8
Is there really nothing to be done for our little goblin buddy? Healing potion wouldn't work?

Cadmael will this time give Effort advantage, since there's a goblin swinging a scimitar right next to her ;-)
The goblin swings down on Effort again, incredulous that she just killed Umog.
Attack: 8 Damage: 5
Stumbling forward, the final goblin on the main deck goes after Burik.
Attack: 5 Damage: 7
Burik easily dodges the desperate attack.
Effort is up!
DM - Above & Below
After transferring her hex to her opponent, Effort responds to the goblin's swing by trying to shock him with her shocking grasp:
Attack: 21
Damage: 2 lightning
Necrotic: 6
If it's still alive Effort will put some distance between herself and the goblin so he has to run to catch her.

Brask shouts over to the friendly goblin: Keep back, and keep your head down.
Then he swings his maul at the nearby enemy goblin:
Attack: 18 Damage: 13
The goblin, on the absolute edge of death, somehow stumbles at just the right time and avoids Brask's maul. It smashes into the wall next to him, sending splinters of wood raining down.
Back up on the main deck, the last remaining goblin throws himself down at Burik's feet. "Pl-please...please don't kill me."
