"Are you alright?" Effort asks Freedom anxiously, grabbing onto her and checking her over. Finding a few scratches on her friend, her head whips over to the orcs that are surrendering, and her eyes narrow into a fierce glare. But she releases the other tiefling reluctantly, and steps back. "Namar has fallen. One more satisfying step closer to finding Promise," she says, a smile forming on her face.
Catching sight of Pip, her smile softens. "You did well, short one. Though I already knew you were brave when I saw what you dared to do for the others on your ship. I'm very happy you made it out of this scuffle alive. Our world's a better place for it. And I'm sure Brask will be very relieved to see you whole, even if he won't say it outright."
To Akrus, she says, "Thanks, for your assistance. In a way, you helped make this all possible. My gratitude," she says, with a small, but sincere bow.
And to the final tiefling, she looks and says, "What is your name? And what are the names of our fallen comrades?" She pauses, tail swishing back and forth as she eyes the other tieflings. "Unlike Euphoria, I know the cost of these skirmishes is more than our pride and honor as a group. This is personal. These people are our own blood, our personal friends... no, our family. I don't give a crap about what he might want right now or these stupid turf wards. Friends have died here today. They aren't noble sacrifices, they're our own pain and our own blood. Let's bring them back home, as they deserve."
Brask leans a little on Burik and then straightens up. Thanks, pal. He looks around at the bodies and blood, and gives a loud laugh, enjoying the victory. People need to learn not to mess with us, he says loudly to the shadows. We're bloody and brutal and we always win.
Having said his piece, he looks around to see if the others are alright, and makes a careful note of Pip and whether he's wounded at all. Then he sets about searching the bodies for coin or anything useful.
"I'm okay," Freedom says, her voice a bit shaky. She steadies herself and musters a slight smile at Effort. "I'm okay."
"Name is Theris," the tiefling replies. He nurses a wound on his arm, but seems otherwise unharmed. The group of you slowly and thoughtfully walk along the rooftops, addressing each of your fallen friends. "Kyron...Awe...Divari. Good folks."
"They were," Akrus nods in agreement. "Awe had an incredible collection of old coins from the eastern empire. Loved showing those things off."

Even though the fighting was over, it took Kurama a little while to settle down, the energy inside him continuing to rage long after it was still needed. Finally managing to do so, the exertion of attempting to maintain control washed over him and he doubled over for a few moments in exhaustion before looking around for the others. Finding Brask back on his feet, Kurama will walk over, scanning the half-orcs as he goes, before and asking, "How do you feel? You took quite a shot from that foe in it's death throes..." Then seeing Effort and Pip still moving on the rooftops, he'll follow up, "...and it seems our friends on the rooftops made it out all right as well."

OOC: Burik said he wouldn't be around for awhile, but I hope he ends up coming back. He added a lot to the campaign when he was posting more often.
Kurama, you find 64 gold pieces on the half-orcs. Unfortunately, Brask checks the bugbears, who weren't carrying anything other than their morningstars and some stinky fur.
Effort, you find 33 gold pieces on Namar, as well as his plate armor and his great axe. Pip also finds 28 gold on the other half-orcs.
Brask grabs a morningstar as a memento, but is definitely interested in (and able to carry) the plate armour. So,he says to Effort, this is the job right? All done?
The plate would fetch a pretty penny if you took it to a wealthy enough merchant, but it also grants an AC of 18. Your strength must be 15 and it gives you disadvantage on stealth rolls. I don't think Brask has a problem with any of that. :)
Unless there are any objections, Brask will chop off the head of the bugbear who knocked him unconscious. He's already mostly paying attention to the armour and how he will get a smith to adjust it to fit on a minotaur body. Brask is not proficient with smith's tools and has no idea, but will look for a smith at the first opportunity.
Hey Pip, get in any good kills? This bugbear knocked me pretty hard, but it didn't help him in the end. He holds up the bugbear's head, laughs, and tosses it as far as he can.
(We usually pool the money then split it immediately after a fight. Brask will insist that Pip gets his full share - what about Freedom and the others?)
"Hmpf. Not anymore," Effort says with a satisfied look. "Let's get out of here before the guards come," she tells the others.
(what Steve said, split, including between NPCs. If Freedom wants to requisition some for the tieflings she can, though honestly I would not split money between NPCs that don't travel with the party semi-permanently)
OOC: No need to split with the other tieflings. Their mission was to stop the half-orcs. No gold was expected. Plus, you did most of the heavy lifting. :)
Pip winces a bit when Brask holds up the severed head, but then perks up. "Aye, I shot one with my arrow! Don't think it finished him off but he sure did look mad!"
"If Namar was here with the bugs, I suspect he didn't know Euphoria was going to hit him at the docks too." Freedom states without any particular emotion in her voice. "Let's all rest up a bit and we'll reconvene in the morning at the barn." She hugs Effort, lingers for a second, and then calls to the other tieflings to head out.
"I guess that's it then until tomorrow assuming Euphoria was truthful and keeps to his word... Back to the Inn?" Kurama asks the others as he watches the other tieflings depart.
(OOC: sounds good looks like everyone gets 23gp including Pip!)
"Yes... I'm very tired after all of this... and I miss Cadmael," Effort says with a note of regret. After seeing that the orcish prisoners are properly dispatched with the tieflings, Effort returns Freedom's hug, and makes her way with the others back towards the city, doing her best to direct others to avoid the route of any guards along the way..
Kurama gives Brask a smile as they're walking, "Not a fan of magic?" he asks curiously. "But yes martial arts was a common practice for the monks of my home though up until very recently I was never particularly suited for combat or adept at harnessing my Ki." After pausing for a moment, "I'm glad I was able to be of some assistance to the group tonight though I still need more training."

I'm well enough, says Brask happily. Pond slime like this can't keep me down.

Knowing full well she can‘t carry a heavy plate mail anywhere, Effort calls for the big strong guys who might want to wear it to get up to the roof ;)

Joining the others on the roof, "Is this the aforementioned Namar?" Kurama asks Effort as he looks down at the charred remains of the Half-Orc
(OOC: Do you usually combine all the loot together?)

So total is 115 gold, split five ways including Pip? DM, are the other NPCs taking a share?
(OOC: Gotcha sounds good!)

Brask nods approvingly at Pip. You did good. Now, what next? Seeing Effort already headed out, he follows, walking next to Kurama.
So, you.. punch stuff? That's good. Good to have another fighter along, balance out these magicky folks.
