Brask smashes into the side of the one of the wolves, sending it bouncing back along the ground. It yelps out in pain, slowly getting up.
The taller guard at the front squares off against the wolf in that direction. He lunges at its side with his longsword and then quickly brings the blade back for a second swipe...

He misses both attacks as the wolf nimbly steps out of the way, and immediately lunges back at him.

The wolf misses too, as the guard is surprisingly nimble himself. At this point, the armored guard has gotten free from the wolf attacking him, and has slowly stood up wielding his morningstar.

Attack: 9 Damage: 4
The second swing connects, smashing into the wolf. One of its bones snaps under the weight of the heavy weapon.
(If the wolf dies from that, she'll transfer the hex to the next wolf with her BA) actually reading the spell, it has to happen on the subsequent turn, so not yet!

Effort turns to Shei. "Well? What are you waiting for? Get going!"she hisses, glaring at the woman, before turning back to deal with the uninjured wolf, transferring her hex to it and then blasting it, with Cadmael's assistance.
The wolf practically explodes as the blast hits it. Shei, who had been frozen with fear in between these guards and three enormous wolves, snaps to as Effort hisses at her. She darts off in the direction most opposite the other wolf and guards. The armored guard notices immediately and shouts after her. "Hey! You're not going anywhere!" He starts to move toward her as she tries to dash down the road.
Pip, meanwhile, has notched another arrow and fires it at the remaining wolf.
Attack: 16 Damage: 3
The arrow bounces off its shoulder, opening a small cut. The wolf hardly seems to notice.
Kurama gave Brask a look before chasing after the armored guard. Once he got to within 10ft, he attempted to restrain the man and keep him from chasing after Shei. .
Athletics check to Grapple: 10
(As I'm not sure if we actually trying to fight the guards quite yet, Kurama won't use his bonus action to unarmed strike quite yet, waiting to see how everyone reacts).
Brask, you're up! There's one wolf remaining at the front of the party (which is probably behind you at this point). Shei is attempting her escape out of the back with one guard giving chase.

Brask charges gleefully at the nearest wolf, making sure to get between it and Pip. Maul out, he grins and roars as he attacks:
