Having more difficultly with the creatures than he would've initially expected, Kurama continuing to parry and dodge out of the way of their attacks as best he could before turning his attention to the weakened creature in an attempt to finish it off.
Effort, both of your blasts connect with the priestess, knocking her back and singing bits of scaly flesh off of her. She looks extremely hurt but continues to remain on her feet.
Brask's muscles tense up and within a second he is completely motionless. Despite every attempt, Brask, you are unable to move.
Kurama finally does away with the weakened creature, turning to land a blow on one of the others who were attacking him.
Brask - another WIS saving throw on your turn to try and escape the spell's effects.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
One of the creatures lunges at the paralyzed Brask with a spear and bite attack (they auto-crit due to the spell's effects): 5 + 9 total damage
The priestess, looking severely injured, convulses suddenly. You see her sturdy herself just a bit, as well as the creature attacking Brask. She regains 6 HP and the other regains 5 HP.
Across the ship, Kurama is attacked again:
Attack: 21 Damage: 2
Attack: 7 Damage: 5
The crew continues to clash with the remaining fish-men: 16471312 ... 11812
The shark finally knocks into two of the creatures in a trance. They shake their heads, somewhat confused, but then focus on the paralyzed minotaur in front of them...
The priestess on the back of the ship looks outward at the open ocean, raising her arms and pointing them toward the water. Effort, even from a distance you can sense some arcane energy expelling outward, although nothing seems to be happening just yet.
(I seem to have not gotten the notification for this one again, sorry guys!)
Cadmael, assist Kurama!Effort commands, even as she yells, trying to reach over the din.
"Kurama! Stop the priestess!"
She waves her hands at the monsters before her, trying to give them a taste of their own medicine with another Hypnotic Pattern - shark included, this time. (DC 16 WIS)
The spell washes over the front of the boat, trapping the remaining attackers (yes, even the shark) in a stupefied trance.
Brask, you're up! You can conduct target practice on the creatures stuck in Effort's spell, dash to the back of the boat where there's still action, use a thrown weapon...
Yeah, you'd have to use your full dash to get to the back of the boat. Unless you have monk speed. Speaking of which...
Kurama, you're up! Still engaged with one creature. The priestess is at the far back, with three others fighting the crew. You see the first mate that had spoken with you all the day before get cut down. Lazar has a deep cut across his left forearm, bleeding through his shirt.
Hearing Effort, Kurama turned towards the priestess' direction to see her doing something odd. Trusting her judgement, Kurama used the energy to both extricate himself from the creature nearest to him and repel any attacks coming his way as he sprinted towards the magical creature (Kurama using disengage action). Reaching her at full speed, he shaped the energy into a whip-like shape before launching it at her!
Action: Attack (Hit 19/ Damage 8 Force)
Extra Attack: (Hit 27 (Nat 20!!) / Damage 11 Force)
Bonus Action: Step of the Wind (Disengage) (4/5 Ki)
Movement: Move towards the priestess on Kurama's side of the boat
(Edit: Forgot Kurama got advantage on his first attack due to Cadamel so here's the roll: 21)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kurama nimbly dodges as spears and tridents lunge at him. He races to the back of the boat, immediately connecting on two fierce strikes that knock the priestess back. She steadies herself, however, spinning toward her remaining allies. One by one, they each turn to look out to the ocean, their weapons dropping to their sides and their eyes rolling up into their heads.
Meanwhile, the priestess reaches her hand up as a strange trident seemingly made of light appears in it. She strikes down at Kurama:
Attack: 14 Damage: 5
Attack: 11 Damage: 4
Attack: 21 Damage: 3
The crew of the ship pause until finally Lazar swings a scimitar and lops off the head of one of the creatures in the bizarre trance. The others don't react.
Effort doesn't bother to look at whatever is coming out of the ocean, focused on the immediate danger. With Cadmael's help, she move just close enough to blast the priestess Kurama was targeting in the back, leaving her hypnotized foes behind for the moment.
The second blast from Effort does in the priestess, as her spectral trident fades and she slowly staggers backward, knocking into the railing of the ship and falling over it into the endless sea below.
The other creatures stand there with their milky white eyes, eerily motionless.
Brask smashes one of the creatures, knocking it over the side of the ship. Demolishing motionless enemies quickly loses its luster, though, and the crew begins to methodically execute any that are left before dumping their bodies into the ocean. The boat sways back and forth as the watery landscape below becomes dotted with the floating corpses of these aquatic fish-men.
Lazar stands over his first mate, mostly stoic with a subtle frown creeping over his face. He gathers himself and looks to some of the other survivors. "Wrap these men. We'll bury them tonight."
As the crew starts to take stock of the situation, a loud splash can be heard from off the starboard side. Where once there was a floating body, there are now only ripples in the water. Half of a broken trident sails on the waves.
Effort returns to the others. "Good work," she tells Kurama, Brask, and Pip. "I do not know what might have happened to the ship if either of those priestesses had succeeded in whatever they were doing." She eyes the corpses of the crew. "Though we took too many losses," she adds with a grimace.

(These attacks on Brask are non-magical, right? Asking in case my Heavy Armor Master feat kicks in to reduce the damage...)
Brask's next WIS save: 9 Well, that's less wise than before. :(
Having more difficultly with the creatures than he would've initially expected, Kurama continuing to parry and dodge out of the way of their attacks as best he could before turning his attention to the weakened creature in an attempt to finish it off.
Have fun on vacation! :)

Hey, nice work!
Brask will dash towards the action. I assume he doesn't get any attacks, because it's too far?
Yeah, you'd have to use your full dash to get to the back of the boat. Unless you have monk speed. Speaking of which...

Who am I near? As in, within bashing distance (30 feet)?
Oh you can bash any of these oddly tranced creatures.
DM - Above & Below
Not the priestess? :(
Brask will bonk on the noggin any untranced creatures first, and failing that any tranced creatures:
Attack: 27 Damage: 8
Attack: 15 Damage: 12
If any of the rolls are with advantage, here are two more d20+8: 9 9
Effort just finished the priestess off. :)
