The minotaur staggers in pain, letting out another roar.

Meiara is up!

Meiara casts Create Bonfire at the Skeletal Minotaur, hoping to take it out.

With another scream, the minotaur falls, burning to ash in Meiara's bonfire.

Out of initiative!

Wounded and slightly burned, Meiara starts heading over to where the Minotaur came from. "We need to get back to Talaak."

Vusgaar grunts an acknowledgement just prior to taking off ahead of the others with exceptional haste(lasts 10 minutes). This time, he silently promised, this time he would stay beside the fallen warrior, and see him treated on the spot. "He's just around the bend. The creature knocked him a good ten before being called away." He calls out over his shoulder. As he closes to the bend, he once more moves back onto two feet, and draws his dagger, realizing only in hindsight a mistake. 'Was that abmonation really the only thing down that hall?'

As the three of you round the corner, you see Talaak's slumped form is gone. There's no sign of him being dragged away, it's like the maze just...swallowed him. Turning, you realize that you haven't noticed how quiet Jenna's being, because she rarely says much. But the reason for her silence rapidly become clear, as you turn just in time to see a pool of darkness open in the wall she was leaning weakly against. In a heartbeat, she falls through the portal and it closes behind her with silent finality, leaving only the three of you in the hall with the bones of the minotaur.

Meiara will usher the team forward through the maze. "Onward. We have to find Talaak." She'll note their location as they move forward as well.

"Jenna as well, if the same thing has happend to her. Assuming what happened leads elsewhere." Vusgaar looks up at that point, and is just in time to watch Batican zip ahead into his customary position ahead of the group. Whereas before it searched for signs of danger, its focus now shifted to the more familiar of Talaak's voice, or any other humanoids at this point. "Though when we have a moment, we should rest right after. This maze has already proven to be far more formidable early estimations." He says aloud, though inwardly adds 'Even moreso than the warnings.'

Though leery of being spirited away, Vusgaar still takes up the rare guard position.

Investigation: 18.

As the three of you search the maze, Vusgaar starts to notice more and more signs of habitation. As he follows these to their source, you all round a corner and see three people in dark leather armor walking and speaking quietly.

OOC: Thanks to the high Investigation, you found the cultists, rather than them finding you. Take one surprise round, and please specify if you're using lethal or nonlethal damage. Also, to save time since this shouldn't be a long or difficult fight, I'll roll init for everyone now.

Demetrios found himself frustrated at these series of unfortunate events. First Talaak, then Jenna. Who was going to be next? Now they had to find the two of them... Hopefully. His brows furrowed when he sees the cultists and whispers to the others, “Let’s keep one alive to question them.” He then strikes out at one of them!

Non-lethal: Attack: 22 Damage: 4

Dex ST: 14

The cultist manages to avoid the bonfire, but is promptly whacked across the face by Deme's sword. They stagger, clearly disoriented.

Vusgaar is up!

Surprise Round:

Vusgaar and Batican spring forward not all that far behind Demetrios. "Understood." He replied gruffly, and in the wake of Batican flying into face of Deme's target, he comes in from the right, striking hard and fast with a pomel strike to the throat. "Igotos." Warmth sweeps from the impact spot, and eventually consolidates in a burst of blue flame to the next nearest robed figure.

Action: Vusgaar Casts Blue Flame Blade Attack: 24 Damage: 6(non-lethal) at Demetrios' Target plus adjacent "cultist" takes 2 fire damage(inherently lethal).

1st Round:

Though tempted to seize the opportunity once more, Vusgaar sends Batican off to aid in striking down another. Meanwhile, the Beasthide shifter either finishes what he started, hopefully downing his opponent, or move on swiftly to the next for the same effect.

Action: Vusgaar Casts Blue Flame Blade Attack: 15 Damage: 4(non-lethal) at Demetrios Original Target(or next nearest, if downed already) plus adjacent "cultist" takes 2 fire damage(inherently lethal).

Post appears to have vanished, but:

Vusgaar's first attack (24 th, 6 nonlethal damage and 2 fire). The cultist goes down (nonlethally cause he only had 5 hp left).

Vusgaar's second attack: (14 th, 4 nonlethal damage and 2 fire). Another cultist takes a hit, but stays up!

Deme and Meiara left. Two cultists remain.

Demetrios nods when he sees the cultist go Down but was still currently breathing before striking out at another cultist, planning to end their life!

And another one bites the dust! Just one left!

Meiara is up.

Meiara ties up the two living but unconscious cultists. "There's two of them, but I was told that two heads think better than one."
