Akra listens to the others talk but her eyes are on the wolves. "They might be nice," she whispers. "What if the goblins trapped them here? They called this the ... what was it? Eating cave? What if they're planning to eat them?" she asks, looking at the others.
She turns to Bozzlewick. "You spoke with the horses before. Can you do that now? With the wolves? I can, but it will take me 10 minutes."
"Wolves being nice? I do not know how they behave in your homeland, Princess, but here wolves are hunters that would not hesitate to feed on children if they could sink their fangs into them," Ungrim whispers back. "I would just throw a couple of rations at them, or even better, one of the gobbos we finished off outside, and move on. We are losing precious time," the dwarf adds.
OOC: Ungrim has some rations that we could use to distract the wolves.
"Pretty sure they were referring to a particular part of the cave, and not the whole cavern system that this place is thus far looking to be, scales."Bozlewick whispered back. "But be as may, Ungrim has the right of things. We just don't have the time 'fer shenanigans." The gnome then swiftly turned to the dwarf and adds, "Stick with the rations, 'fore we can't afford to find out if one of'em wolves actually has a good connection to the gobs."

Ungrim nods to the gnome. "Aye, gobbos' flesh stinks too much. They may not eat it." The dwarf takes a couple of rations from his pack and, as soon as the group is ready to move forward, throws them to the wolves.
From his position at the back of the party, Thalas rumbles "they can't smell worse than a seven day old carcass of a Leviathan, can they? Cos that's an aroma you don't want to been exposed to more than once!"

Ungrim gestures again towards the northeastern passage. "Nyxaris, let's start from there." As the group proceeds, the dwarf continues to listen to the stone for any signs of movement or other creatures nearby.
You throw the wolves a few rations and they quietly settle down. Nyxaris moves the illusion of a goblin forward towards the NE passageway. It comes close to the bridge and the single body that Ungrim felt was to the north steps out onto the bridge. As it now stands on wood Ungrim can no longer feel it, but he sense no others near the bridge so this one must be alone.
The goblin up on the bridge waves to the goblin below and then looks up sharply as it sees the glow of Thala's torch and sees the height of the goliath and knows it is no goblin. He yells loudly looking to the northeast.
Only Ungrim and Nyxaris understand what the goblin yells in its own language
Nyxaris did not shout a warning. He did not lunge forward. He simply stilled — as though the world had narrowed to a single point of intention. His pale eyes lifted towards goblin on the bridge. The creature’s panic echoed off the stone, its voice already gathering others to its cause. Nyxaris raised one hand. Slowly. Deliberately. As though lifting the edge of a dream. A whisper escaped him. “Be silent.”
A thin, invisible spike of psychic force lanced upward, slipping past the goblin’s skull and twisting deep within its thoughts. Nyxaris lowered his hand, cloak settling around him like falling ash. He casts Mind Sliver. (INT Save DC 14 or take 1d6 Psychic damage)

Although Thalas doesn't understand a word the goblin yells he figures it is a warning of some sort "Shut up will you"he mutters as loads a quarrel into his Hvy Crossbow and lets fly (Attack: 23 Damage: 3) If the shot hits the Goblin is pushed back 10 feet - probably off the bridge!

Loremaster - A tangled skein (adventures in Eriador using the LOTR5e game system)
Princess Akra's eyes watch the wolves as the others speak around her. It isn't until the canines settle in to eat the rations thrown to them by Ungrim that she is satisfied enough to turn away.
She doesn't see the goblin until it begins shouting. As Nyxaris casts his spell, the princess steps up behind the elf and blows a kiss. A mote of light flies from her palm straight at the goblin.
Attack: 21; damage: 3 radiant damage, and the creature glows with dim light until the end of my next turn
