Lucia itches her snake bites and says, "Well, that's one trouble of not having armor." Seeing Tomoe shake she asks, "What's the matter Chief? You didn't get bit did you?"

Tomoe shudders and continues to murmur Snakes, flying snakes. Why are there flying snakes.

Ingrid chimes in  Onee-sama will be ok. She is pretty scared of snakes. I've never been able to break her out when she gets like this so i just let her be till she comes around. 

(subtle hint that Lucia would be able to bring Tomoe around with a bit pf physical interaction, as she promised the last time flying snakes were brought up) 

Lucia leans down and gives Tomoe a hug. "Don't worry about the snakes. We've fought worse."

The combination of hearing Lucia's voice and feeling her touch, Tomoe comes around, Yes, but flying snakes...Are you alright? You were swarmed before anyone of us knew what was going on.

Lucia says, "Hey, I'm fine. I get dropped all the time remember?"

Yes I do, and it makes me feel so much better...The joking sarcasm clear in her tone, Emi-chan, did you get taught any first aid before you followed me way out here ?

A little, she replys. She moves to examine Lucia. Here, tel me see you arm where you were bitten. As Ingrid gently examines Lucia's arm, she feels a strange but warm energy build up and pass through her hands and into Lucia's arm. What was that ?!

(lay on hands for 10 HP)

Lucia, who's been a detective and has fought paladins (Ruttman's goons) looks at her wounds healing in the light and says, "Huh. So I take it you're a paladin?"

In a tone of shock Ingrid replys A what ? she has not yet realized that her devotion and oath to serve her big sister has blessed her with divine powers. 

A paladin ? Like the ones we fought in Ruttmans mansion ? Tomoe didn't know this was something that could happen either. 

Lucia nods, "Yeah. She can heal minor wounds with her hands. That's a very tell-tale sign of being a paladin. That or she's casting a spell."

Casting spells? I've never had an ability to use magic, how could i..As she  was concentrating on her hands and the idea of gaining powers from seemingly nowhere, here eyes being to glow. Suddenly her vision adjusts and she can see the glowing golden outline around her self and another outline around Tomoe's armor and sword. Why am i glowing? she accidentally cast detect magic. Aside from the stated, what else can she see ?

She doesn't see anything else. There is nothing else magical in detect magic's range.

You seem to have casted a spell Emi-chan. Looks like your training is just getting started. Anything else you can tell us of Emi-chains newfound abilities Lucia?

Lucia shakes her head and says,  "Sorry Chief. All I know about Paladins and Clerics is from working with a few of them. Though she might also be a Bard or Ranger. However, with her skillset, I believe she's a paladin. If she was a Cleric, she should have known she can cast spells without having to find out this way."

I guess we will just have to keep training. You think you are good to hunt another monster Lucia? I would like to go home with a bit more bounty if we can.

Ingrid stops seeing the glowing effect. I think I'm good for another fight.

Are you good Kate ? You look a little winded

Kate says, "What are you talking about? I'm fine." Lucia says, "Yeah, I think I'm good."

Well, if everyone is good, lets find us a small bounty to end the day on.  Preferably not flying snakes. 

Since you are looking for bounty, I'm going to roll random encounter. Except I'm rolling to see what you find instead of if you find anything.

You see an ogre walking around accompanied by a tiger. The tiger appears to be its hunting pet. Not Razorback but ogres do have a bounty on them.

So are you going to fight the ogre?

What is that ?! Ingrid asks

Looks like an Ogre and a tiger. You think we can take it? Tomoe asks the group. Ingrid looks a little unsure. 

Lucia says, "Yeah, I think we can take him. Kate can still smash them with her big sword."
