Chronero - Single Player DnD

Tomoe wont intervene. This is clearly a case of self defense. She does how ever turn her gaze upon Kyle. She shoots him a look of cold steel, like daggers piercing his soul. She aims her crossbow at him. if he moves, she fires.  

Kate finishes her shouting and says, "A quick death is too merciful for you." She lifts her feet off and Lilith begins to crawl away.. Kate reaches down and grabs Lilith by the tail and bashes her back onto the floor. She then stomps one of her feet onto the tiefling's gut. Lilith squeals and Kate reaches down to grab her horns. Then she breaks both horns off and uses it stab Lilith in the eyes. She stabs her in the eyes a few more times until the 4th hit, where she drives the horns into her foe's brain. Lilith's body spasms and then goes limp. Unsure of what to do, the drug addicted minions begin to file out of the house like nothing ever happened. Sean begins to leave as well when Kate wells out desperately, "Sean! Don't go. Come back with us. We can help you." Sean has this hollow look about him. It's clear that whatever Lilith did to him has really messed him up. He probably has no idea what he's doing or why he's doing it. He doesn't even recognize Kate. All he thinks about is his next high. Kate looks at her brother. He's long gone. He may be alive but he's no longer the same person. "Sean?" She mutters weakly. No response. There is no saving him now. All Kate's calls did was make him stand around like a lost fool for a few more minutes. Kate slumps down. Tomoe has never seen her this sad before. She says without looking up, "Kyle... why did you do it? Why did you try to kill me? Was she really that much better than me?" Kyle looks at Tomoe and as a show that he's not going to do anything he drops all his weapons on the ground: a dagger and his crossbow. He also drops his ammunition for said crossbow. He cautiously takes a step towards Kate and says, "Babe..."

Does Tomoe do anything?

Tomoe fires a warning shot. Stay right their. Tomoe snarls at him. Tomoe calls to Lucia and Ingrid to see if they are OK. 

Is Ingrid in danger from the poison still? 

Kyle freezes up and stays where she is. Ingrid is still in much pain from poison. Lucia had already gone to searching Lilith's mutilated body for an antidote, which she found. She says, "I'm fine Chief! I have the antidote." She tosses a vial of clear liquid to Ingrid. "Drink that or you'll die." She goes back to searching for other useful stuff and Tosses a bunch of jewelry that Lilith was wearing towards Tomoe. The jewelry smell strongly of perfume. The same perfume that permeated Kyle's house. It is 1000 GP worth of stuff and the long pendant Lilith was wearing turned out to be an Amulet of Health. 

Kyle, not moving still, says, "Babe, it's not my fault. I'm sorry. I was being mind controlled. I would never hurt you willingly." Kate sniffs and stops her very soft sobbing to say, "Really?", "Babe! Really!" Lucia and Tomoe can both tell Kyle is lying. In fact, anyone could tell Kyle was lying. He simply fell for Lilith and she convinced him to try and kill Kate. Even Kate probably knows this deep down. However, she feels alone and wants to believe Kyle. She's willing herself to believe his story.

Ingrid quickly drinks the antidote.

Think about it for a minute Kate. He willing poisoned all of us. He claimed you do not do enough for him dispite you always cooking for him, cleaning up after him. Having sex with him at his pleasure with ever increasing risk to yourself with no risk to himself. Should a proper boyfriend cherish his girlfriend above all else? Why are his friends more important to him than you? And, I will bet he has been the one leaking our information to Rat. Information that only you , myself, Ingrid and Lucia knew...and Kyle knew. Kyle knew my name and what i looked like. He knew all our locations. He knows our current hide out. Think about these things Kate.

Kate stands slowly with her sword in hand. Sheathing the sword, she says with a defeated sigh. "I know... I just didn't want to accept it. Not now." She walks to the door and says, "I'll be outside for a while. Kyle tries to say, "But Babe, I was being mind controlled." "Shut up Kyle. We both know that's a lie."

Tomoe has the now cured Ingrid securely tie up Kyle for later interrogations. Ropes extra tight.  Tomoe Examines the amulet and pockets it for now. Her jewelry stinks. I cannot wait to sell it off and be rid of it.  She looks to Kyle I hope you know how much you hurt her. And i do not mean the stab wounds. I would not be surprised if you do not live through the night....why did you use her like that? 

"I mean I didn't intend to but... I mean a guy has his need you know?"

So, she was just a tool to satisfy you? And when she no longer met those "needs" you tossed her aside like she was nothing? Lucia, if Kate does not end his miserable existence, what would yo do to him?

Kyle panics and says, "No wait! That's not it. It's just..." He searches for the words, "It was Lilith's fault, She talked me into it."

Lucia shakes her head and says, "Honestly I'm not too sure. There are many like him yet that doesn't make him any less detestable."

Do not beg for my mercy Kyle, you will not have it. It is for Kate that I do not do the world a kindness and end you. It is her you must convince you are not the lying, back stabbing, ungreatfull, traitorous piece of human garbage. Tomoe looks to the bloody pulp that is liliths corpse and says. That there is the wrath of the woman you used and treated so poorly. I do hope it was worth it. 

Kyle goes quiet. He doesn't know what to say to get him out of this mess.

I am going to check on Kate. You two know what to do here. Tomoe goes outside to see if Kate is OK.

Kate is standing outside taking a smoke. She notices you come up and offers you one of her smokes. She seems quiet and very unlike her usual self.

Tomoe declined the smoke. How are you feeling ?

Kate places the extra smoke back in her pocket and takes a big puff of the one she was already using. "Like shit." She says as she blows a lung full of smoke into the starry night sky. 

I can imagine. Do you want to talk about it?

Kate doesn't answer. She just takes another long puff of her smoke.

Tomoe stays. Waiting for Kate to be ready.

Kate finishes her smoke and says, "If you're not going to say anything then let me be." It seems she wanted Tomoe to start the conversation but it's a bit too late for that now. She doesn't seem to want to talk about it anymore.
