Lucia returns much later, during late evening. She says, "I've found a bunch of disjointed groups of Rat Liver with these holy warriors in them. I've also noticed some hotspots where they are active. After observing them for a good while, it seems to me that the most effective way of making contact with them will be to pose as an acolyte and state the reason for coming to the slums to help the unfortunate. That will get their attention and they may try to recruit Ingrid in that case."
Sounds good. Tomoe and Kate will help her practice some new mannerisms in her language, like adding more slang words to skew her voice patterns a bit. This practice will keep up until Lucia figures out which Hotel we are at and rejoins us.

Excellent. Should we send her out in the morning?
I think i'm ready onee-sama.

Alright then.
You get to the arena and sign up for battle.
The announcer announces, "Ladies and gentlemen, today we have our returning fighter, the princess fighting in the arena once again. Either she likes combat as much as our champ or she's really down on her cash. Maybe both. The princess will go up against the Mage. She's proven to be quick on her feet and fast on the trigger but if she fails to put the Mage down, it might spell trouble for her. It's anyone's game tonight.
"Her friend, Brown Fox will be going up against another challenge match. This time, she'll be up against The Grey Warrior. On the Barrens. She's chased down Trailblazer and she's taken down Tinfoil merc. Can she stand up to The Grey Warrior or will she have finally met her match. Place your bets!"
The gates open up and Tomoe finds herself in the familiar situation she always finds herself in for these kinds of battles. There's her enemy 60ft away from her. This is a human male with a red suit, a red hat and red pants. All look pretty expensive.
Tomoe's turn.
Kate:
Kate finds herself in a open field. The arena is the same size as it is for non-challenge fights; 180ft radius circle. The opponent looks less than human though. He stands just out of Kate's reach, 60ft away from her. His skin is dark and he wears tattered leather armor, wielding two short swords. There appears to be a grey rag over his face. Long holes for the eyes and the mouth have been cut off from the rag yet beyond it is only darkness. Kate feels uneasy for this fight. There's a wind that blows the broken flags and banners that are littered among this field. The opponent's dark eyes seem to glow for a split second and a thick fog engulfs him and continue to spread.
The Mage dodges Tomoe's crossbow bolt and moves back. He places a magical mark on Tomoe and hurls a smoky red beam at her. Tomoe manages to step to the side and avoid the attack.
Tomoe's turn
The fog expands and Kate is engulfed in the fog. She loses sight of her opponent. Suddenly she feels as blade cut against her back but when she turns around she doesn't see anyone near her.

Kate tries to get away but the fog expands further and engulfs her. However, it seems the fog has reached its limit and won't increase any more. A blade thrusts out from the thick fog and stabs Kate as she repositions.
Kate's turn
Tomoe rushes forward but the mage keeps moving back. She fires another bolt bolstered by her fighting spirit. She lands the hit and the mage while moving back and seeing the serious wounds on his body decides to go all in. He fires three burning rays at Tomoe but she sides steps each one as she continues her charge.
Kate stays just out side the fog. That way he has to come to her. She uses her bonus action to use her fire aura and holds her action to swing at him if he r shows his creepy face..

Kate unleashes the fury of her aura yet she doesn't hear any sounds of pain. She exits the fog and turns around only to have the opponent lunge at her from the mist. As the blade enters her belly, she grits her teeth and swings back but as the sword cuts through the fog, the Grey Warrior also dissipates. It finally makes sense. This creature, whatever he is, can teleport at will for as long as he's in the fog. He can probably see in the fog as well. That's why Kate's attack missed when it should have hit.
Kate's turn.

Alright there is enough time. Anyone else will enter the arena? Ingrid can stay in the audience to help make sure they don't kill Tomoe.
Kate can do her 2nd one like Tomoe.

Kate advances on her foe. He seems to be really creepy so she only moves her normal speed and takes a dodge action, raging in the process.

The mage keeps moving and thus, you are unable to target him with melee attacks. I'm going to go ahead and assume you used your crossbow instead.
