Kate just shrugs and says as she pulls out a box of tobacco and a piece of parchment, "Hey, in my line of work, you'll die long before your smoking habits can catch up to you so it's fine." She then leaves.

During your watch, about mid way through, King wakes up and begins moving about. He sees you (I assume you didn't put the lid on. He would suffocate if you did.) and says, "Hey you're that other chick. Where am I and why does it smell so bad here?" He looks around and says, "Don't see your friend here. Let me guess, you're hiding me in the sewers and your here to make sure I don't try any funny business right?"

Tomoe smiles down on him and closes the lid for a minute. When she opens it again she asks, Willing to answer my questions now?

The orc seems a bit more friendlier than before. Maybe the threat worked. He says, "Hey listen, I ain't done nothing to you. Why you coming after me like that huh?"

It's nothing personal, we just want to take down a scummy gang leader who is selling drugs and ruining lives. Tell me what you know about the head of the Rat Liver Gang, and were all good.

The orc says, "Wait, I'm not Bronzor, I'm Rat Liver. We aren't scummy we work together and look out for each other. We could use someone like you. Join up with us and see for yourself how we look after each other. We help, we don't ruin lives."

Tomoe closes the lid for a other minute. When she opens it again she says, Explain that to all the lives rotting away in your drug dens. Explain to them how its to their benefit to be incoherant and rotting their brains with filth. Dulling and muddling their minds for a cheap and temporary high. How does that bring them out of poverty?  How does that bring them joy. How does that provide for their families.

The orc says, "I mean like... well life sucks and if they can get away from it for a bit then..."

Excuses. Taking advantage of a bad situation never help. Short term distractions only make things worse by ignoring the problems instead of working to fix them. That's what you should he teaching those kids. Not killing them through drugs and destroying any chance they have to better themselves. Now, tell me about the gang boss and earn your freedom like a good boy, or I close the lid again.

He says, "I told you, I don't know who the gang boss is. Rat Liver don't work like Ao Oni or Bronzor. We don't have any fixed rank you know. We just know who's the bigger bro and who's the younger bro because we just do. It's all a loose network of guys who know each other. I know some guys who know some other guys and it goes like that. I don't know who the absolute big bro is. I don't know anyone who might know either."

You have no idea if he's lying or not.

You need to be able to tell me something usefull. That's they only way you get to go back to your fighting pits unharmed. Surely you have usefull information for me?

The orc says, "Well I ain't no snitch and they'll get me out of here anyway so I don't gotta tell you nothin."

perhaps. Or perhaps not. Or maybe I'll just kill any who get like I did yesterday at the drug den. Tomoe smiles at King.

"Wait that was you? I heard about one of the gangs getting wiped out but I didn't think it was you."

All by myself. Wasnt too hard. Most of the guards were users. Though that guys wolves scratched my armor a bit.

King says, "Yeah, well... my friends are going to bust me out. They'll be able to handle you."

DM: Both you and Kate failed the Intimidation roll. You're not going to get anything out of this Orc. At least today. Maybe you can try again the next day.

Very well, were doing this the hard way. Tomoe closes the lid, only propping it up slightly so King wont suffocate.
