We will probobly have to do this on our own. I am worried about the siege weapons, but avoiding them means being even more outnumbered. I assume there is no way to lure Boss Rat out and away from his base?

Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
Lucia says, "I bet not. I mean, Boss Rat's the only one of the 3 crime bosses who has managed to keep his identity away from the public eye." Lucia reclines back in her chair and says, "Honestly if it weren't for the sheer incompetence of the lower members of Rat Liver and the information lag, he would have been one step ahead of us. If we do manage to somehow catch him outside of the base, you can bet that it would be because he wanted us to do it."
Lucia shakes her head. She says, "I don't think there's a chance of catching him off-guard. He probably knows what happened to Zhao and is expecting us to attack at this point since we know where his base is."
Lucia closes her eyes and thinks for a bit.
Meanwhile Kate proposes, "Well, if you're worried about the siege weapons, Tomoe, I can charge in and distract them long enough for the rest of you to go in." Tomoe feels that this plan is normally a very good plan since if Kate goes on a rampage around the grounds, it will open up a straight shot for the rest of the 4 to attack the Boss Rat without worrying about siege weapons or reinforcements. What makes this plan not desirable is the trade-off involved. Even though this would mean that everyone besides Kate can storm the Boss Rat's office without any opposition, Kate will most certainly die in the distraction. What's worse, when Kate dies in the distraction, it will be too late for Revival Potions to work on her and they would be too far away to take her to a Cleric for powerful Resurrection in time. Meaning she would be gone for good. Would she be willing to sacrifice Kate for a direct and full-power attack at the boss?
No, I cannot risk sacrificing you for this. But that may have given me an idea. We cannot afford a full second team, but what about one or two who job would be to safely distract the siege weapons with magic? We know two spell caster mercenaries yes? Can we hire them to run an illusion or some kind of long range distraction?

Lucia opens her eyes and says, "Hey, Chief... remember when I said Boss Rat would be one step ahead of us were it not for the lag? What if... he expects us to attack at the Day time? Attacking at Night would mean he would have more people and an advantage since as far as he knows, none of us can see in the dark. So he would expect us to risk the Siege weapons and attack at the Day. What if he is preparing for a Day time attack and leaving a Night time attack open since he already has the advantage of darkness? Am I over thinking this?"
Is there a way to neutralize the disadvantages we have in a night raid? Some kind of magic item we can obtain to lend us the ability to see in the dark?

Tomoe thinks for a moment. This is looking expensive either way. Oh yes, I almost forgot my new sword. It can shine light so we may not need to worry about that then. Kate, how much do you think it will cost use ro hire those two to distract the outer defenders in a night raid?

I double checked, she leveled up to 3. You haven't applied the level up yet.
Kate says, "Well, I'm not sure exactly but I'd say 2,500 GP. I'm not sure if we would need to use them in a night raid though but It could be worth a shot."
"Outside of causing a distraction to frighten or draw out the guards so that we have to deal with less resistance, I don't think they will be of much use since they both seem comparable to Mystery in power and we need to be on our toes to keep her alive as is. I still think we should leave her here while we go."
Yes, I agree. I will not risk more than we have to. She will stay here. We just moves so she should be safe. So, Kate, Lucia, Emi-ch, and I will assault the Rats nest while our mage hires cause a disturbance enough for us to bypass the outer defenders. Do we want to get another sorce of light besides my new sword before we go in?

So, we need to catch him off guard. Best chance of that would be a day raid. We need to find a way to make the siege weapons no longer an issue.

They seem up to taking the job. Subtracting 2,500 GP from your sheet.
What now?
Spends the last of my cash on potions. I'm just about out of preparation tasks.

If you can't think of any more prep, it's always a good idea to save cash as it may come in handy later.
For potions, what are you going to buy for 2,176 GP? Kate recommends going for Greater (150 GP) or superior potions (650 GP)
