The human bandit shouts for reinforcements and you can hear stirring in the inside of the mansion. He has alerted the enemies. He quickly grabs the table Kate is standing on and flips it, Kate is caught off guard and she falls to the floor, the glasses and plates that were on the table crash on to her, causing many minor cuts and bruises. The table gives cover and makes it harder (3/4 cover) for Tomoe and Jamica to attack the bandit. Kate growls, "Oh you're dead, *****." through her teeth as she gets up. She runs up to the bandit and a fiery aura envelops her which burns the bandit. She then recklessly throws herself on the bandit and impales him with her sword.
A mage was the closest to the dining room and runs up to aid the now fallen bandits. He quickly casts Toll The Dead and Kate hisses in pain as weakening magic begins to eat away at her life. Jamaica says, "Mage! Deny the witch!" He steps forward and with a casting of Magic Missile, he sends three glowing darts of energy hurtling towards the mage. The mage quickly raises his hand and a thin spherical Shield appears around him which effortlessly blocks the darts.
Tomoe will advance upon the mage unless there are others in her way that would attack her on her way there.
She bolsters herself with her fighting spirit, giving her and edge over her foes. (samurai ability: As a bonus action, you can give yourself advantage on weapon attack rolls until the end of the current turn and give yourself 5 temporary HP.)

Tomoe charges the mage but her sword is deflected by the shield. Through the door, an armored bandit arrives. He immediately tries to stab Tomoe but his rapier can't get through her armor. Kate swings wildly to have a better chance of hitting her foe. Her sword crashes through the shield and hits the mage in the gut. The mage wheezes and waves his hands and causes a pink mist to engulf the two women attacking him. Both of them feel tired and yawn but nothing else happens. Kate nods and Tomoe goes first. On the other side of the door, there's a big hall. There's a large area with a chandelier hanging over it. South of this area is the double door that leads outside. On the opposite side is a set of stairs. The 6 gangers you saw outside are in here now. Luckily most of them don't seem to be wearing armor. Out of all the gangers, only the mage is in leather armor. On top of the stairs are no one but there is another double doors at the end of the flight.
The minute Tomoe rushes in, Gangers 1 and 2 surround her and attacks with their daggers, One of them manages to get through her armor but it doesn't leave too bad of an injury. Kate runs in and kills the two gangers with her sword. Jamaica goes through his "Deny the witch" plan and melts the Mage with his acid breath along with one other gangers. Ganger 4 and Ganger 5 look at eachother unsure of what to do. Then Ganger 4 gains a determined look in his face. It seems at this moment of unstoppable defeat, the Ganger has started to exhibit legendary heroism. Ganger 4 is now an Inspiring Hero. Ganger 5 also feels himself become braver by being in Ganger 4's presence.
Everyone within 10ft of Ganger 4 has gained 5 Temp HP. All Ganger 4's attacks now deal an additional 1d4 Radiant Damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Not sure how historically accurate this is but I mechanically consider:
Shoto = Short Sword Katana = Long Sword/Rapier Nodachi = Great Sword (Because DnD Great Swords are actually more like historic long swords and I don't think the actual Great Sword has a Japanese equivalent)
Ganger 4 attacks the Chandelier with a dagger: 4 Dmg: 2 + 3 Crit: 5
(No crit effect due to targeting an inanimate object)
The Nodatchi/Odatchi would be the "greatswords" for sure. The katana functioned like a longsword. The wakazashi/shoto was usually the small sword back up and functioned as a 1 handed sword. That's why i used it as a rapier stand in, though there is no piercing sword in Samurai history. The piercing weapons were spears and arrows.
Well technically speaking the Nodatchi is a sort of precursor to the katana, being longer and more difficult to make it fell out of favor for the shorter katana, with spears and other pole weapons being the primary on foot weapons. So both the katana and the Nodatchi could be a longsword, but the nodatchi could also be a "greatsword"
Im fine with calling it a Katana, but i was forced to take a rapier because i went wit ha dex build and somehow you dont need to be strong to wield a 3 foot long 2.5 pound piece of steel.

Tomoe stabs Ganger 4 but his heroism keeps him going (Temp HP) when the blow should have dropped him. Ganger 5 quickly tries to attack Tomoe but her armor protects her from the attack. Coughing up blood, Ganger 4 decides to make life a little harder for Kate by throwing a dagger at the Chandelier. Bolstered by heroic energy, the dagger strike chain and cuts through it as if it was old rope. The chandelier comes crashing down on Kate who avoids the structure but is still cut by the shattered glass that's sent flying in all directions.
Perhaps the sound of the crash alerted him or maybe he was already on his way. Regardless, the double doors on top of the stairs burst open and a orc with a fat lower lip and long golden hair appears. He seems to not be wearing any armor. He is wearing a somewhat expensive shirt but with the sleeves ripped out so it exposes his lean muscles. He seems to be wearing artificer googles but he doesn't seem to have an tinkerer tools with him. It's probably a fashion statement. There is also a locket with the symbol of Farel on it. This orc must be Desmond. He cackles, his voice is nasally and almost goblin like. Accompanying him are two women, both human. One is wearing a studded leather and holding a crossbow while the other is unarmored but her tattoos and her tattered robe makes it seem she's a Mage. He says, "Well boys, looks like we have company."
Boss Music (Yes this campaign has boss music):
Desmond jumps from the top of the stairs and does a mid-air somersault (actually he just used his 40ft movement speed in terms of mechanics but this is cooler). He comes out of the somersault into a flying kick that lands on Kate's cheek. Kate's body twists from the impact but she remains on her feet. Upon landing Desmond quickly follows up his attack with a hay-maker but Kate bends back to avoid it. Then just as she regains her stance, she gets jabbed in the gut with Desmond's mace. Kate rubs the blood that had welled up in her mouth and began dripping from her lips. Her fiery aura returns and burns Desmond. Then she retaliates with an incredible slash to Desmond's chest with her Great sword. Seeing the situation, Jamaica quickly melts the two gangers with his acid breath so the whole team can direct their focus to the new enemies that arrived.
Tomoe charges forward and makes two deep cuts into Desmond's back. He coughs up some blood. The mage, in an attempt to help her boss, runs down from the stairs and raises her hand into Kate's face. A blast of light fires directly into Kate's eyes, blinding her. Kate instinctively retaliates by thrusting her sword through the mage's chest. The mage makes a low cough as a considerable amount of blood pours from her mouth. Then she falls down dead. Desmond sweats; things are not looking good. He tries to take advantage of Kate's temporary blindness and punches her several times. Then with a quick somersault, he flings himself back at the top of the stairs and runs away deeper into the mansion. The rouge fires a bolt at the blinded Kate to give her boss covering fire. Jamaica runs forward and four glowing orbs appear around his body the orbs fly toward the rogue and Desmond. The mystical darts penetrate their bodies and both fall to the ground. Dark red blood begins to pool around their bodies. Desmond and the rouge are both dead.
Kate hisses and says, "Yeah. These sons of *****es kept attacking me for whatever reason. Guess it's because I don't have armor and the rest of you do." She grimaces at the corpse of Desmond and says, "Damn, I wanted to take him alive. Now we're out of leads again." She turns to you, lost on what to do next and says, "So what do we do now? Do we just leave?"
