(Kate for personal preference reasons will refuse to wear armor. Lucia has no use for Armor either because she's a monk and Armored Monks require the whole build to be based around it to work. Lucia's build is not based around it. For Tomoe, Studded Leather +1 would be better than Half Plate +1 because of her having max DEX and not having Medium Armor Master. However, does she want to give up crit immunity for +1 AC. On one hand Crit Immunity is good but sometimes I forget she has it and then you'll have to remind me. On the other hand, +1 AC. That's your call to make.

Also the Nodachi is a cursed weapon so I don't know if you want to use it or not.)

(It depends on the weapon but usually no. Usually if you're cursed with a cursed weapon, the Remove Curse spell (which you can go to any god's temple and pay a cleric to cast it) only helps un-curse you so you can get rid of the weapon. But it usually can't remove the curse from the weapon itself. )

Tomoe collects her spoils. If nothing else, all the armor can be sold for a profit. She notices that, even with the aid if the potions, her wounds wernt as devastating as she has thought. Perhaps all Muras taunting had gotten to her head.

She picks up his sword and feels a dark energy emanate from it. She rembers some of her history lessons and recognizes the name inscribed on the base of the blade in an old Edo dialect.

This sword is cursed. Very cursed. she points out the 4 intricate characters etched just above the hand guard. That is the makers mark of an ancient Edo sword Smith by the name of Muramasa. Speaking outloud for all to hear but directed towards Lucia. Remeber I told you alot of the records of the old smiths that made the enchanted blades had been lost to history. One of the few recovered is Muramasa. His weapons are cursed. Filled with his rage and hate. This weapon must be sealed away and never touched again.

Kate seems to not be very interested in history. She was just listening to see if there's a reason why they can't use a big magic sword. She started paying more attention when a curse was brought up. She crosses her arms and says, "Well... that sucks." Lucia meanwhile is a bit more interested in Edo history. She then asks, "Normally, when we find a cursed weapon here, we hand it over to a priest of Exal, Farel or a god of the same domain that the heretics that used the cursed weapon worshiped. How do we get rid of this sword, Chief?"

It would take far too long to transport it back to Edo to be sealed there. If there are priests up to the task here, then I can rest easy knowing this evil blade will not bring any more harm. Until then, it is in my personal care. Tomoe examines herself again I think I need a bath. her stomach decides to make a loud grumbling noise. ...And a large meal it seems. How close is the temple we need to seal the sword away?

Lucia says, "Well... I think the best bet would be to deposit the sword in Exal's temple so it would be a bit far from here. It's up in the Aristocracy. Remember the big building where we got that circlet identified? There's a chapel there." Kate said, "Shouldn't we at least wait for Seraph to finish up his paperwork? He did say he wanted to give us a reward." 

Yes, we should wait. Tomoe sighs I just wanted a nice day out with my girlfriend followed by bedroom antics one cannot talk about in polite conversation. Instead we fight a madman with a curse Nodachi from a gang we were trying to avoid. 

Kate says, "Hey. No one said this line of work was easy. Sometimes we have to lay low, sometimes we get to enjoy our earnings."

Seraph steps out of his room, the door to which was now broken. He hands Tomoe 8,500 GP. He says, "Big wigs in Ao Oni are worth a lot. Though don't try and just brag about taking one down to any Guard Captain. With Ao Oni and Bronzor, they plenty of Guard paid off and in their pockets."

Tomoe smiles at Kate and giggles slightly Too true. I guess I am fully embraced in the mercenary life style now.

She happily takes the money from Seraph. Good advice. Let us know if you need more work done in the neer future.

Seraph nods and says, "I will. I think I might have to go into hiding though. If they got concerned enough to send one of their bosses after me, I don't think I'll be Guard Captain much longer. I'll see what I can do."

Best of luck there. If you ever need some extra hands for a task force in dealing with the gangs, we will not be far, nor will we say no. With that bloody business done, Tomoe leaves the clean up to the guards. She gives the brave lady guard in the red uniform an enticing smile and a wink and let's Kate decide if she wants to follow along are stay with Seraph. (Not that Tomoe has that kind of control anyways)

Tomoe really wants to make sure the sword is safely put away and will ask Lucia to lead them to the temple she mentioned. Maybe they can get the rings identified while they are there.

Kate walks over and picks up the flowers she dropped. Now the bouquet is dirty. She decides to stay behind and help with clean up. Lucia leads Tomoe back to The Brass Keep. Inside, she talks to the receptionist again. "Hi. I'm here to visit Exal's temple." Where House Serpent was on the 5th floor, Exal's chapel was on the second floor. Going up the stairs, the duo find themselves in front of a large double door. As they push past it, they find themselves in a room decorated as a chapel should. It was a departure from the cold blandness of the hallway outside. At the center of the chapel is a large stone statue of what looks to be a heavily armored paladin slumped in a throne. He rests his hands on a slender great sword. With his helmet is attached a spiky crown. His tabard flows from under his breast-late and is worn and tattered. The tabbard bears a symbol of a three-pronged crown. this is no normal Paladin. This is the king of the gods, Exal.

A priest was watering some flowers in the chapel. He turns to Tomoe and asks, "How can this servant of the Grand Emperor help you?"

Tomoe presents the largest curved sword, housed in its scabbard. This is a cursed sword from Edo's past. I am unable to deliver back to my homeland to seal its darkness away. I was hoping it could be done here.

The priest takes the sword from Tomoe and inspects it. He draws it partly to inspect the blade. Then he says, "This is... an unusual cursed weapon. Normally with such things the weapon is tied to one of the evil gods. This one is not. Still we shall dispose it like all the rest. Thank you for bringing this here." He pays Tomoe 1,650 GP for the sword. Lucia asks, "Should we head over to House serpent to check the rings?"

Relieved that the sword will never infect anyone with its hate again, and surprised she was paid for it, she wordlessly nods a confirmation to Lucia.

It almost felt like a shock to the system to go from the calming and decorated environment of the Chapel to the cold and sterile environment of the Brass Keep. There were lighting fixtures of continual flame that gave off white, artificial light. No point in dwelling on it now. There were more stairs to climb to get to House Serpent on the 5th Floor.

The Tiefling mage was still in his office when Tomoe and Lucia walked in. Though he was getting ready to leave. He seems pretty pleased with himself. It seems he did score a pretty penny for the Circlet that Tomoe sold him.

"You have? Well Make it quick. I am about to close up shop for the night."
