Kate looks away and says, "He's doing okay but he can't be the Guard Captain anymore. He says that if Ao Oni has gotten to the state where they're sending someone like Mura after him, it's only a matter of time until they finally waste him either with stronger gang members or with bribing his higher ups to pin some bogus heresy accusation on him. That's why he's going to go into hiding... at least until the heat dies down. I... Don't think I'll be able to see him again any time soon."

You still have the armor silk he gave you, yes? We should take it to my tailor so you can design an outfit to your liking with it. Thay way, even in hiding, he will be with you and protect you.

Kate nods. "You're right. Actually... this being our last day together, I went with him to a tailor to get a outfit made. Sort of like a parting gift. I'm expecting to get it back tomorrow. It's going to look almost exactly like the outfit I'm currently wearing."

Tomoe trys to hide her excitement because she wants to be respectful, but she also really lives Kate's current outfit. She calmly says I can not wait to see it.

Also, I learned from Chiea that to not invite Yuno would be suicidal, but Chiae can promise she can keep her behaved if we do invite her. She says we should have the wedding in another city and send an invite on short notice.

Kate agrees, "That does sound like the Champ. She seems crazy enough to go on a murder spree just for not being invited to a weeding. Hell, she seems like the type to just look for an excuse to go on a murder spree."

Lucia says, "So what Chiea is saying is... we invite her but make it too inconvenient for her to attend. And if she does end up coming even though we expect her not to, Chiea will be there to keep her in line. This sounds like a solid plan to me. Worst case scenario is that we'll have to deal with Yuno messing up the mood but it's still better than getting killed on our honeymoon."

That would be correct. I am going to write my family tonight and send it at highest priority. Hopefully we will get a response soon. Chiea suggested Drake Island for our wedding. What is Drake Island like?

Lucia says, "Well... it's kind of nice. It's a bit more wild than it is here. There are still plenty of cultists and even demons but there's also way more villages scattered across the whole island instead of one big city where everything happens. The landscape is nice. I trained there with Seraph under Commander Lucy. There are lots of Dragonborn there."

Would like to have our ceremony there? You said your family was in City of Haze, yes? Would you like to be closer to your family when we get married? 

Lucia says, "Well... having the ceremony at the City of Haze would be expensive and it's not exactly a beautiful looking city. I think I would prefer Drake Island in all honesty. Any idea when you'd like to have it? "

Then Drake Island sounds like our ceremony location. Let us plan for after I hear back from my parents and for Mystery to return with news a out KittyKat.

"Sounds good. Also we need to finish up our base. It's been fun but we should really get  back to work. Before we get back to work tomorrow, let's head to Bar Chief. Where do you want to go? Golden Dune or somewhere else?"

The Golden Dune sounds fine. It is becoming a regular place for us.

"Yeah. I guess it is."

The Golden Dune was emptier than usual. I guess the bar isn't always going to be full. Even most of the other mercs were not there. In the quiet, dimly lit environment of the bar, Tomoe can't help but remember the odd atmosphere of the halls in the arena housing. It was a weird thought that she can't shake.

Sitting in The Golden Dunes at this low occupancy was kind of refreshing and relaxing. She sits at the table, sipping the closest thing the have to a traditional l drink from her homeland, thinking. The building behind the arena, it is an apartment complex of sorts. It is where Chiea and Yuno live. But I cannot help but feel there is something very wrong with that place.

Lucia and Kate seem concerned. In a world where horrific Deep Demons that are the stuff of nightmares can walk the earth and evil gods influence the hearts and minds of people, they are very much wary of anything that seems wrong. Lucia asks, "What do you mean?"

I am not sure I can explain. It was like the feeling of being watched when you are alone. Or the feeling of been I'm shadow in the midday sun. It feels wrong to be there.

Lucia asks, "Did you see any strange symbols or hear any whispers by any chance?" (Tomoe did not)

No, just a feeling. It reminded me of when we faced that shadow creature in the old rotten shack. The one where we all barely escaped. But I saw nothing.

Lucia gets even more concerned. She says, "I hope I'm wrong about this but it is possible that... there might be an evil god's influence there. If it's the one I'm worried about it could be real bad."

It is an unregulated nightmare of blood and murder. I would not he surprised if it is true. We must be more cautious on our next visit. I would like to get Chiea out of there too. But she is dedicated to Yuno so she will not leave so long as Yuno lives there too.
