Chronero - Single Player DnD

The noble's attitude flips when he sees Tomoe. Even though she's in exile, she's still of noble blood. The man says, "Finally, someone who is worthy of being in my presence. No they did not take anything from me."

Then rest assured my friend, Tomoe says with her reassuring smile. Miss guardsman here will see to it these ruffians get their due. I personally guarantee it.

"Ms.Guardsman? Hah! She's dressed like a harlot! Madame, I am assured that you will see to it that the REAL guard are informed." He starts leaving. Right before he turns a corner, he looks back and says, "When your servants inform the guard of this incident, also tell them of this harlot who's parading as a guard. Impersonation is a serious crime." He then disappears around the corner.

Lucia sighs and massages her forehead. The commotion followed by this ass of a noble has put a strain on her mentally. She nurses a bulging vein and says in a defeated tone, "Being undercover does have its detriments. So it sounds like Ingrid's doing her job very well at least."

Kate offers, "You want me to go after him and chop him in half?" "No, that's okay."

Tomoe embraces Lucia, holding the blondes head to her chest in a hugging fashion and says slightly sarcastically, Maybe dressed like a harlot, but your my harlot. She gently kisses Lucia's throbbing forehead. Does that feel better ?

Lucia rolls her eyes and says, "Well, I would dress like Seraph but then that wouldn't be going undercover would it?"

Kate says, "Speaking of undercover, how do you think Ingrid is holding up?"

Meanwhile Ingrid and Simon are panting a good distance away from Tomoe and Company. Simon said, "Well... that didn't go as planned."

I'm sorry. I've never done anything like this before. I even messed up my spell. I'm new to spells too. 

"I see... You are an experienced Paladin it would seem. I am still in training and have not gained access to spells (He is a 1st level paladin)."

Meanwhile Kate notices a odd fellow exit a pub. He brings Tomoe's attention to the sight. A green tiefling with V-shaped horns and without a tail has just exited a pub and is heading off into an alley. He seems to be equipped with a breastplate, a shield and a rapier (not drawn). The clothes he's wearing under the armor is simple and loose with long sleeves. He seems to have a scarf around his neck.

Gee, I wounder who that could be.

Tomoe points him out to Lucia and suggests they tail him...pun not intended but kind of funny.

Sarah says, I haven't had my magic long. Still figuring out how it works. Most of my experience is in battle. I'm only 20 so my life experience is a bit limited 

Kate and Lucia do a good enough job of remaining hidden but Tomoe ends up making some noise on accident. The tiefling turns around and looks at her, Lucia and Kate manage  to obscure themselves before being spotted. He stares at her for a bit before saying, "Can I help you?"

"Is that so? Well, you will be able to get a better grasp on magic I'm sure." He says, "We messed up tonight. Let's head back to the slums and try to sell off some drugs instead."

How does selling drugs in the slums help the cause?

Yes,..well no...maybe. Have you been following me? No offense, but you look sketchy and I have been having issues with people spying on me recently. Also, I have seen so few tiefling in the city. I am looking for a little trifling girl. She is about 10 years of age and has been on the streets for a long time . I am concerned for her saftey.

The tiefling says, "No sorry. You have the wrong person. I haven't seen any tiefling girls and I have not been following you."

Simon says, "Selling drugs in the slums helps our cause because it give the noble youth an easy access to them. It weakens the oppressive social structures put in place by the nobility and takes steps toward the creation of the new society by tearing down the current one. Also, it helps us draw funds."

Sounds like something some who is following me would say. Tomoe says sarcastically . May I ask your name ?

I guess that makes sense.  Sarah follows Simon

The tiefling says, "My name? Sorry, but I can't tell you that right now. I'm a mercenary though so you can have my mercenary name: Shade Strider." He sizes Tomoe up with his dull yellow eyes and says, "Who look like someone of higher society. Are you an official of one of the Guilds here by any chance?"

Sarah is brought back to the restaurant in the slums. Simon says, "Father Wang and his partner has contacts with people looking to buy drugs. We need to get a list of places where exchanges are to happen and then go there to supply the drugs. Do you want to come with me to the restaurant or will you wait out here?"

No, I am no guild member. But I do employ mercenaries from time to time. Where can I find you if I need a job done, Shade Strider?

"The Tiefling says, "I see. You can find me in The City of Haze. Maybe we will see each other there." He turns to leave and you notice a holy symbol on his shield. It is the symbol of a skull.

Sarah and Simon go to Wang. Wang looks disappointed in Simon when he reports their failure. He sighs and hands him an address. Simon steps away and tells Ingrid, "Well, we have a location now. Let's go pick up the stuff and deliver it."

After the green tiefling leaves, Tomoe will describe the image to Lucia in hopes she can explain what it belongs too.

"Sarah" sticks close to Simon.

After hearing of the skull symbol, Lucia says that it is a holy symbol of Ghast, the god of undead and necromancy. Though because of what Ghast is associated with he isn't commonly worshiped, it is perfectly legal and not heretical to worship this god.

With Sarah in toe, Simon heads to a small hut. There is a hidden basement in the hut which holds sacks of various drugs. Simon hands Ingrid  two pouches of Razorwire and takes a few pouches himself. He says, "Alright, we got the stuff. Now let's head off." He looks at the address and goes to a dark alley next to a rundown building. There a young man meets him. He trades one of the packs for a considerable amount of gold.

should he be someone we have to worry about? Tomoe asks.

Wow, that's alot of money. Sarah says, her amazement is genuine.
