Where is Sarah going?

Also Lucia isn't sure if it's time to move yet. On one hand, the Boss Rat has probably received word of the failed framing work. However, his next set of orders have probably not arrived in Brass City yet.

Sarah will spend most of the morning wandering the city making sure she isnt being followed before she finds a postal service to send Tomoe and her group a letter updating them on her first day.

Tomoe and the gang will try to find a job to kill time.

Tomoe finds some possible jobs:

1. There's an orc camp run by Razorback that kidnapped the blacksmith's daughter. Kill the orcs and rescue the girl

2. There's a riot going on in a shady bar in the slums. Go in and stop it.

3. The Guard have confiscated a percel. Go into a specified small guard station and retrieve said percel.

She will also receive the letter at night

Once Ingrid successfully delivers the letter, I assume she's coming back? Also what did the letter say?

An over view of the sermon Zhang gave and the general mindset of the followers she as met.

Ingrid bought into the sermon though.

Lucia looks at the letter and says, "Well... we found out how they recruit Clerics and Paladins at least. Classic case of persuading the religiously minded by framing themselves as the good guy. Though this ally Zhao talked about. I think this particular ally is Boss Rat himself. I don't have any evidence to back that claim up, it's just a gut feeling. Call it detective's intuition."

 Tomoe goes to rescue the blacksmiths daughter.

Meanwhile Ingrid gets back to the restaurant and Simon says, "Hurry. You're just in time for the sermon."

Zhao Wang begins his sermon. The main topic of the sermon is the same as yesterday but it also contains other basic lessons of virtue and justice. His arguments and explanations are even more well constructed. Roll Insight again to prevent further buying into what he says. Basically if Ingrid fails, the idea that these guys aren't bad will further take hold in her mind. Zhao is quite persuasive.

Tomoe and Co. receives instructions on where the orc  camp is. Question is: do you hire any mercs to take with you?

The sermons are good, and she is starting to buy into the class disparity. But she still doesnt agree with the means and operations.

(She doesn't have to. Failed Insights are now resulting in her not thinking these guys are "bad guys")

With the Sermon over, Simon walks over to Ingrid and says, "What will you be doing now? Because I think we can do some good together."

Also Does Tomoe take any Mercs with her on the orc mission?

If she can afford it, she will take Priya.

well, Sarah says, You have been at this longer than I have,  what do you think we should do today?

Roll Persuasion. You can take her regardless but success will give you a discount.

Simon answers, "Well today, we can go and spread the words of Araph among the slums. It is still our duty to sow the seeds of divinity in the hearts of all people."

(Sorry for the delay in posting. Had an issue with dndbeyond I just resolved. But it's not letting me access Tomoe. Can you roll her persuasion please)

Sarah says with an awkward laugh I've never been good and preaching, but I will happily go with you and watch you preach and maybe stand guard.

(Strange. I can't access Tomoe either. Can you make a copy of Tomoe and see if you can access that?)

 Simon and Ingrid head off the the slums and Simon spreads the word of Araph. Here he doesn't preach anything about their cause in particular. He just preaches the general teachings of Araph. The noon passes by uneventfully.

(I can access the original now. Also, I wasn't getting updates for this thread. It seems DnD Beyond has been having some problems recently. A DM in one of my other games seems to have been experiencing horrible lag when he tried to access this site.)

You come to an... Interesting sight. You see two orcs guarding what seem to be a small hill with a cave in it. The hill is so small, you can't imagine the cave to be any larger than 2 or 3 rooms. Roll Stealth.
