A familiar voice from the other side of the door says, "No point in hiding. We already know you're there. Come in. I have a score to settle with one of you."
Lucia looks grim and says, "I... don't think we have much of a choice. The fortress may be made of wood but it's too big to burn. We could have tried burning it if we had more time but we don't. If we stand out here, we're going to be attacked from both sides by the guys who are in the fortress and the party that returns after realizing they've been had. It doesn't look good for us Chief." She sighs and says, "They way I see it, the only two options that we have is pressing on or retreating. If we retreat though, it's going to be ten times harder to bring Boss Rat down. If we press on, we'd be fighting on their terms which I really don't like. Argh! What to do here."
We know it's a trap on the other side of this door. We could open the door, but hide out of sight and make them come out, hopefully letting us at their flank and into the building.

Hiding behind the cover of the walls, you push open the door. As the large double door creaks open... nothing. There is no attack. The familiar voice says, "I know you can hear me. I know you're hiding somewhere over there." It pauses for a bit before continuing. "Do you recognize me? I'm King. I know you're here to take down Boss Rat and destroy Rat Liver once and for all. Rat Liver is my family. I can't let you guys take them down. Though ever since you let me go that time, I've been doing some soul-searching and I can understand why you would want to stop us. I still stand by Rat Liver but I understand. So, I want to make a deal." King states his proposal, "I have a score to settle with the one that bested me in combat. If Kate wins, my people will step aside and let you confront Boss Rat directly and without any resistance." He pauses for a bit before saying, "Many of us have already died. (King is the first orc Kate fought way back when. The guy she knocked out and dragged to base to interrogate.)
Kate thinks for a while and says, "Let me do it. If I do it and we win, we have a clear shot to the Boss. If I lose, we can break the deal and attack them anyway. You've got resurrection potions so it should be fine."
(Oh right, that guy. I figured he might be pissed because kind of tourchered him.)Tomoe slowly revieled herself. IIf you promise a fair fight, we will aswell. I do not like death anymore than you. Tomoe nods to Kate. Show him a good time .

Kate and the group step forward. King stands in golden plate armor holding a broad bladed claymore with a red hilt. On his metal chest piece bears an emblem depicting a helmet in front of two cross swords. Lucia lets you know that this is the symbol of Romel, the god of Thunder, War and Heroism (Not heretical). The room the party enters appears to be a kind of mess hall. The gates they entered from lead to large room with wide stairs on the north wall that go up. Two doors lie on the south wall open. These leads to the small guard boxes that the archers were shooting from. The east and west walls all have two doors each. There is a chandelier that hangs from the wooden ceiling. There are two rows of tables in the mess hall. The orc says, "So you agree to the challenge and the conditions?" "Yes Bring it on." "Then may the war god bless our honorable duel tonight and may anyone who deviates from the rules be cursed forever with the god of heroism and combat's displeasure (Breaking the rules will result in bad things happening later down the line)" Though still a bit confident in his abilities, he seems a lot more reserved and humbled compared to how he was the first time Kate fought him. It seems King was a changed man. With King stands two human snipers, both wearing leather armor and holding longbows.
King lays down the rules of the combat, "We will fight at the center of this room under the chandelier. We will start out 30ft away from each other and each one of us will have a few seconds (1 round) to prepare ourselves. When we are ready, we step forward and the combat begins proper. Attacking anyone during the preparation round is strictly forbidden and will be seen as a breach of the terms of the duel. Only you will fight only me, Kate. If either of our allies and friends intervene then it will be breach of the terms. Now let us begin."
Initiative: King: 8 Kate: 7
DM: You will be controlling Kate for this battle. This is the prep round. I suggest giving Kate potions to use mid-combat if things get bad and placing any buff spells on her if you have them. During this prep round, you may give Kate up to 2 potions (to hold) per action. You may use any potions on her as an action. You may cast spells that target enemies but not anything that forces Saving throws, does damage or cause status conditions.
During his prep round, King cast Hunter's Mark on Kate (This is allowed). He then mentally prepares himself for the battle ahead.
Ingrid casts Shield of Faith on Kate with her last spell slot, raising Kate's AC to 18
Lucia... can't really do anything to help so she messages Kate's... one non-metallic shoulder and gives her a pep-talk, "You've got this Kate. Show them why they shouldn't mess with you."
Resurrection potions will work as long as the battle continues. If Kate is dead, she won't be able to use it so no point in giving it to her. However, because of Death Saves, Tomoe will have anwhere from 2-5 rounds to get Kate back up with regular potions and failing that, use a resurrection potion, provided you choose to risk being cursed by the war god and attack King and his allies.

Kate's widen as she looks down and notices the sword buried up to the hilt in her stomach. King then pulls the sword out and swings again, this time slashing Kate's throat open. Clutching her neck Kate falls to her knees before dropping on the floor.
King wipes the blood from his blade and gets ready to declare victory. Then Kate coughs and said, "Not so fast." She gets up and holds her sword facing King. "I'm not done yet."
Kate's turn.

Probobly pre rage. Not sure what else she can do.
And King said he would let all of us go, he never said he would keep Kate if he won so it would be him risking his gods ire if he is a sore winner.
