Tomoe finds a slender red dress with no sleeves and no back. The cut in the front isn't too deep so chest is well covered. It has a fashionable split part way up the legs on the left side.

What do you think of this one? It shows of your arms and back and the leg slit is both functional for moving and alows you to show off your gorgeous legs if you want.Tomoe is not expecting Kate to know what kind if dress she likes but still wants her opinion. She also wants Lucia's input since tjey have similar tatse in female beauty.

Kate says, "I... don't know about this one. I feel like I'd look like a gorilla in a dress." Lucia, wanting to see how  Kate looks in the new outfit says, "Well we won't know until you try it on."

Kate goes into the dressing room to change into the red dress to see how it looks on her.

When she comes out, she looks a bit off. The slender dress hugs her muscles and shows off her abs through the clothing. It doesn't look bad but Kate does look a bit out of place. She grew up in the streets and spent her entire life fighting to survive. The dress just seems like it doesn't belong on Kate. The dress seems to fit someone who is more conventionally elegant and graceful. Kate is not very elegant in her posture and her grace is like that of a skilled swordsman rather than a skilled dancer. She says, "I... This feels too fancy. It feels a bit weird... like I'm wearing someone else's clothes."  

Tomoe looks Kate over I think you are right. Let's go find something a bit more practical.

Tomoe goes through the racks and finds one that may work. It's black with a slight emerald green sheen. Its a thicker material so it hides her muscle definition. The back is closed and it has long sleeves that end in rings that secure the top of the sleeves to the ring finger. It flows almost to the floor with a taper to one side. The skirt part is flowing and loose along freer movement. The neck is cut deep showing a fair amount of cleavage but not enough to be distasteful. 

When Kate puts this one on, it is a clear improvement over the last one. The color fits Kate extremely well. However this one had a bit of the opposite problem of hiding too much of Kate's muscles. This one almost gives off an impression of trying to pretend someone Kate isn't. Perhaps the it shares the same problem as the last one in that it fells slightly "Off" though not necessarily ugly. Kate is a strong and capable woman who has fought many battles. Even though her muscles are intimidating, trying to hide it the way this dress does feels like it's trying to hide who Kate is. Still it looks leagues better on Kate than the other one did.

Lucia comments, "You know... I think if it showed slightly more skin in places not in the chest it would have been a bit better. Either that or add some extra jewelry. Right now it just feels a bit incomplete." 

Kate asks, still a bit nervous, "I-Is it necessary to wear something so formal? We are just going to the bar right? No parties?" 

Hmm, perhaps I did overcompensate a little. I still like you in it but perhaps it is too formal. Lucia, have you found anything good?

Lucia looks through the different outfits on display and says, "Not yet. We can always try whatever the latest fashion is. That's a safe bet. Hey, Chief, what kind of outfit are we looking for exactly? Something to go out clubbing? To be ready for a fight? For a formal party? Casual stuff she can wear all the time? That might help narrow things down a bit more."

Hmmm, maybe we can forget the formal stuff for now. Let us stick to clubbing and some casual stuff. Personally I am in favor of her showing her arms, so Maybe a halter top. Perhaps with just enough midriff to start the imagination but a little loose to not form fit her impressive abs. Though, i think a short skirt might be to much. But I'm afraid a long skirt isn't showing enough. Something in-between maybe with some tall stocking would work. 

Lucia says, "I like where you're going with that! Showing off Kate's impressive abs might cause people to worry about getting punched. I think I may find something."

She fishes out a green top with very short sleeves. It has some frills around the arms and the neck to add a bit more feminine flair to Kate's physique. It fits Kate's body snuggly but the cloth is a bit thicker to hide the tone of her muscles. It's a bit short to show a bit of her underbelly but not much else. The neck is low cut but not as much as the black dress. She got out a green mini-skirt for Kate to wear over black leggings.

"What do you think?"

Tomoe approves. I like it, let us have her try it on.

while Kate is changing into this newest outfit Tomoe asks Lucia. So, I want to know, how do you really feel about me still kind of trying to seduce Kate? Because if it bothers you I will stop. I would hate to ruin what we have. Unless you are into Kate too. Tomoe is a but awkward as she has never been in a serious relationship before.

Lucia puts her arms behind her head and says, "I don't mind but the two of us are in a committed relationship. Don't go trying to sleep with someone else okay? As for how I feel about Kate, honestly I think you're kind of wasting your time. Unlike you and me, Kate's not into women."

Tomoe smiles sarcasticly and says So what you are saying is a three way between us and Kate is out of the question? Tomoe chuckles.

Lucia says, "I'd be down for something like that... but I'm not sure Kate would be."

Kate steps out of the dressing room in her new outfit. This one is not as flashy as the previous too but its more simple style seem to suit Kate more. Formal Balls aren't Kate's thing given her lifestyle so a outfit that's more casual fits her more. The fact that it's not too much more revealing than what she already wears: a Tank top and baggy pants, Kate seems to not be feeling weird about this.

Tomoe's glint with the faint hope of storybook fantasy as she shifts her attention to Kate. A simple style adjustment not too different than what your used to but a fair bit more feminine. I think this sends the right message. Add a little makeup and some simple jewelry. Though your current earings may he enough. How does it feel ?

Kate looks down at her outfit and moves her arms to get a better look at the different angles. She says, "I don't hate this. Its close enough to what I usually wear. I like it." She winces a bit at makeup, "I've... never applied makeup before. I don't know how to. There's not really much time for dressing up when you're stealing to survive on the streets or fighting for coin." She looks a bit sad, remembering her brother that she failed to save.

I think we should have a professional do it. It is just for one night so no real need to learn, yet. Maybe we could have your hair styled a bit. Nothing drastic of course. Just  a touchup to bring the whole look togather. And I think we will leave your nails natural and trimmed. No need for any polish.

Kate awkwardly scratches the back of her head, "I... do we really need a professional? It's just one night out. Isn't that a waste of money?"

You are worth the expense. Now, let us pay for this outfit and find a boutique.

They were already in the commercial area of Brass City. So after paying 10 GP for the full outfit, it didn't take long to find a boutique. Lucia asks, "So what kind of Jewelry you think will fit Kate?"

Something simple. We are trying to get Kate's natural beauty to shine so we cannot over power it with overly fancy jewelry. Tomoe picks out a simple gold chain necklace with a single pearl pendant to match her earings. How about this? It is simple and matches her earings.

Kate puts it on. It goes quite well with the rest of her outfit. Lucia pats Tomoe on the back, "Good eye, Chief! That looks great on Kate."
