Does Tomoe get a suprise round? Or because I had her out in the open she didnt get to suprise them?

As the fighter bursts down the door, he charges down Tome but then gets sliced in half by Kate's sword. The Fighter's torso smacks Tomoe in the face and gets blood on her clothes. The two guards rush in with long swords. Lucia immediately strikes at one but the guard dodges. She then attempts to kick but the shot is misplaced, dealing minimal damage to the guard.

Tomoe's turn.

Thank you Kate. Tomoe says as she is splattered with gore. Not wasting any more time, she moves to assist Lucia and slices at the guard she kicked.

All three of you attack the guard but the guard moves and weaves so that the blows fall on her armor and her shield. She then retaliates by slashing Kate across the chest. "Wh-What is this girl!?" The extreme competence of this guard has Frightened Kate. Lucia calls out to her, "Calm down! Ca-Ah!" While she was trying to bolster her ally, the guard's friend came up from behind her and swung at her. She was able to dodge it barely, the blade makes a shallow cut across her belly.

Tomoe's turn.

Tomoe presses her agression on the one guard who keeps dodging everything. She swings with leathal intent.

Tomoe swings again, this time the guard spins around and falls dead. Kate also calms down and attacks the other guard. However, it seems that her nerves are still a bit frazzled. She hits the guard but doesn't do nearly as much damage as she could. Lucia tries to keep on the assault but her fists are unable to get past the guard's armor. The guard retaliates with another weak poke to Lucia's gut.

Tomoe's turn.

Can Tomoe move to flank the last guard?

Unfortunately, flanking rules aren't in play in this game. If it were, you'd have died in the assassination or even in the drug house where you rescued Kate.

Makes sense not to have it in a solo campaign. 

Ok, Tomoe will just get next to Lucia and swing at her assailant. Non leathal.

Attack: 19 Damage: 9

Striking at the helmet, Tomoe manages to use the armor against the wearer to knock her out.

Everyone gets 50 XP.

Kate and Lucia who have both taken quite a beating in the last two fights, pops another potion each. Kate says, "Thanks for the potion Tomoe. Would literally be dead without it."

I can not let my best girl die. Tomoe says with slightly flirtations tones.

Ok, serious talk lady's. We have a single potion left, and you two have taken a beating. Do we take time to rest in the enemys lair, continue forward as we are, or make a tactical retreat and risk loosing our quarry? 

Kate looks around and says, "We've cleared out this room and the one below. However bad guys can still attack us from the basement we ignored. I say we keep going. Leaving now would invite even tougher ambushes in the night."

Lucia says, "As I see it, If we charge into the boss's room it might be asking for trouble if we haven't cleared the building yet. Why don't we find a room with a window leading outside and rest. The gangers would probably be waiting for us outside the room if they don't try to get to us some other way. We can escape through the window and either retreat or blindside them."

Ok, let's find a room with a view and catch our breath. I want you two to stay a bit behind me. Let me open the doors and let me be the first one seen. We need to minimize any further risks. 

after a quick looting of the living and the dead, Tomoe moves to exit this room and look into the one across from it.

From the 5 bodies (living and dead) you have the usual: Shields, chian mail and swords. As for gold, there is a total of 58 GP.

The next room leads to the kitchen. It has a place for cooking and there's a wooden table in the middle. There seems to be a window above the cooking place. With the window, you could jump to the next building and move on from there.

This could work. We can use the table to barricade the door so we do not get take by suprise from someone bursting in right away, and we can get to the next building through that window there. What do you two think?

Lucia says turning her head to survey the room. "This looks pretty good. If we were goblins, we could probably hide in the cupboards. "

Kate nods and says, "This looks like as good of a place as any to rest. Tomoe, help me move this table against the door." She walks over and grabs one end of the dining table. "We could probably use the chairs (which I may or may not have forgotten to mention were here) to better fortify this place."

Tomoe helps baracade the door with the table and magicly appearing chairs. She will then help clean the blood off of Kate and Lucia, then her self.

Not exactly what I meant when I said I wanted to get to know you more intimately Lucia. But we need to keep everyone inside, inside. And covered in blood is not a good look for any of us.

Kate chuckles and motions to her now magically sealed stomach wound. "We also need to keep our insides inside, eh?" Lucia groans which prompts Kate to say, "Oh come on! The joke wasn't THAT bad."
