Khorzik, Witt asks, do you need money now to buy something? Something that will help us in our mission? We might have enough gold between us to get it for you, or we could ask Konor for the item itself - they probably won't mind giving or lending us something.
To Sora he says: Yes, the servants were quite friendly, even though they were so busy. I'm not sure how much they know or will tell me - they really like the Queen and have probably told Konor or the guards anything that would be useful. Still, it doesn't hurt to ask.
He finishes his breakfast and feels refreshed, ready for a new day. He is wearing his regular non-gala clothes, but over his armour. If we are going to be disguised as servants, I'll need to take my armour off. I would prefer not to do that, given that there are dangerous people around.
”I do not think it would be wise to keep the Konor waiting for us. Perhaps we could have split up. Some of us attending the interrogation while the rest of us at least keep a watch on Linthe’s estate. And yes obviously now that you have joined the group you three are entitled to some of the payment we have received already.”
Khorzik addresses Witt. "Creating an alchemical homonculous is the only immediate purchase which could possible aid our endeavors. This would cost 10 gold. In the long run, I will require better armor. This is too expensive to request at this time."
"In regards to covert ingress, I plan on disguising myself again. I can render one of you invisible, if you desire. If I enter several times, I can ferry 3 individuals invisibly. This would require a suitable excuse for multiple entries - perhaps delivery of supplies. If I do this, my magical capabilities will be severely taxed until resting."

Nemeia makes her way into the room wearing her full compliment of armor and has her crossbow slung against her back. The soft sounds of metal gears inside Cali announces her presence in a soft purr as she spots Nemeia's friends. The satchel wrapped around Nemeia's hips has been closed shut with several twists of the gears. Her eyes light up when she spots the food and digs in the offerings.
"I love this place,"she says again as she looks over the room. She listens as the others detail the plans for the day nodding in agreement to the various ideas. "Do we have any other people we think might be behind the murder or are we certain the visiting lady is responsible?"
"I gotta agree with Moira." Sora tilts her head towards her, "Right now it sounds like Linthe's place is a huge unknown. Rather not go in there blind. Chances are we can get more info from the assassin that might help us out there in stead of the other way around. Regardless I don't think we need to over-complicate talking with this guy. I think our best bet will be just to try to cut a deal with him." She looks over at 9 and adds, "And I understand what you're saying, but don't mistake the tool for the wielder. Remember that at the end of the day the real killer is the one that hired the assassin, he's just the medium."
Witt solemnly hands Khorzik ten gold pieces. For most of my life this was more money than I had ever seen in one place. I'm happy to give this to you to make something that will help us. You can pay me back if you like, but only when you are ready.
To the others he says, I have some magic - others may have it too, and he looks at 9, that can guarantee a person speaks truth. It doesn't compel them to speak, and they may choose silence, but it prevents them from lying. I will use it upon the assassin, if you think it is right. But not, of course, in conjunction with torture or any other evil practice. He says this last part firmly, nodding towards Khorzik.
Pulling her spell book from her pack Moira is surprised to find it has a belt strap on it. “I was thinking about purchasing one of theses last night. How did this...?” She trails off. Then looks back up at everyone and continues. “Any way I have a spell that might one in handy. it would make the assassin think I am his friend. He might be more willing to speak to me then.”
Khorzik nods to 9's reply. "Interesting. I vote we rendezvous at the castle first. I am ready to depart immediately. Does anyone require invisibility?"

”Perhaps staying together is best. We could also just stagger our entrance to the castle. I’d hate to use up your abilities now. I know it can be frustrating wanting to get a breather to be able to cast again.”
"It is decided then. Myself, Lynn, and perhaps one other can enter under the guise of recovering a lost item. Perhaps we can secure a way with Anastasia for the rest to enter? I can stay near the gate to communicate the success of such a plan from inside. What do you think?" Kal seems fairly sure of the course of action.
Sora squints her eyes as she thinks about the plan put forward before adding her suggestion. "I think we're overthinking this. We just need to get into the castle. Plain cloaks big enough to hide our features will do. Anyone who can disguise themselves can do so. But no need to waste anything more then a cantrip. Even if it looks suspicious it probably won't matter. They can talk all they want so long as it doesn't lead back to us. Instead we should be saving spells. There's no telling when someone will make a move and it's better to be prepared for anything they can throw at us." Nodding Sora stood up getting ready to leave through the door. "That's just how I see it anyway. Regardless, no reason to keep talking about it, we should just head to the castle now and everyone make their way in as inconspicuously as you can."
I agree with Sora, Witt notes, his natural aversion to dishonesty coming through a little. And I think I'm going to keep my armour on, in case we get attacked. He looks at the assembled group. We're quite menacing when we're all together; quite a big group of, well, mercenaries it must look like to any onlooker. After you successfully fended off the assassin last night, I guess if someone does want to attack us in the castle, their first move might be to try to split us up. Please, let's promise to try to stay together today.
He moves and joins Sora at the door, and when the group does so, he joins them heading towards the castle.
Khorzik travels with the party to the servant's entrance. About 1 block away, he casts disguise self to appear as a middle-aged human male clad in common clothing.

Together, Summer's Treason makes their way to Tarrin Castle, carefully navigating the roads through the town in order to avoid attention and suspicion. As instructed they soon find themselves at a servant's entrance to one side of the castle. The entrance has two Royal Guards stationed there, simply standing near the doorway to ensure no one comes in or out that isn't meant to.
Nemeia looks to the others. She'd never been the best at being discrete or even stealthy. Cali followed behind closely doing her best to not draw attention. Nemeia decided it would be best to let the other handle the talking to the guards. "Doesn't seem too bad,"she says quietly to the others. "Think we can convince them to let us all in?"
”We are expected. We should not need to convince them at all.” Moira walks directly to the guards. “Good morning. We are here at the request of Konor.”

“So, do we split?”
Khorzik takes the money from Witt. "Thank you."
Khorzik addresses 9 again. "Are your abilities similar to Master Witt's?"
9 nods, “But I also don’t really need magic to know someone’s true intentions”, she adds.
Khorzik nods to 9's reply. "Interesting. I vote we rendezvous at the castle first. I am ready to depart immediately. Does anyone require invisibility?"
