Nemeia nods in agreement to moving there quickly. She can't help but to inspect the sword as they move toward the dungeon. She'd always been quite fascinated by the various weapons crafted in this workshops. This piece in particular was quite impressive given its larger scale and quality of materials.
”If it’s ok Konor I wanted to offer that I have the ability to make them believe I am a friend of theirs. I could do this and then find out what we need to know.”
Any ideas what we want to ask? Witt's face is scrunched up as he's thinking. I don't think 'Who do you work for?' is going to get results - they can just choose not to answer. Mr. Konor, is the assassin going to be executed after? I mean, they don't really have any reason to co-operate, do they?
"You may as well speak to him directly if you think you can help. He's certainly not saying anything of value to us." Konor explained in a short annoyed tone, clearly having little patience for dealing with this assassin this morning. He continued walking forward relentlessly without a hint of pause, he seemed to be going just slow enough with his large gait for everyone to keep up, though just barely.
As he strode forward he led the group to another set of stairs locked behind a pair of thick wooden doors. At a quick glance it's easy to notice this door is typically held barred. This makes sense as the stairs quickly take you all down a bleak and dark environment as the roughly shaped but very strongly secured stone of the walls, floor, and ceiling are barely illuminated by the limited light only available from the nearby lights. Though these are magical in nature, a simple cantrip upon the end of a rod against the walls, it's almost as if the lights themselves were made deliberately weak in order to enforce the foreboding atmosphere of the dungeon below.
You can feel the utter lack of sunlight down here as you travel down a similarly rough shaped corridor until you come to another door. This door is opened but two royal guards stand at attention on either side of it as Konor approaches it. The giant-kin simply walks past them with only a nod. Past the door you see a row of prison cells on either side of this long room. And only a couple of steps past the end of the room you come to the cell in question, with the assassin from the previous night, now stripped of all his weapons and armor, laying down without a care on what could be considered a "bed" in only the most charitable sense of the word.
Sora walked into the dungeon right behind the goliath. She moved up to the cell of the assassin looking at the culprit thoughtfully through the thick iron bars. She then quickly turned and walked back to the doorway, picking up the simple wood chair that was there before carrying it in hand right back to the cell door.
She looked up at Konor as she nodded towards the assassin's cell. "Would you mind opening up for me?"
Konor eyed Sora curiously as he called up towards the doorway, "Guard, Open our guest's door." As one of the guards by the door moved inside quickly to comply with the order, the goliath took a step back, next to the door, crossing his large arms across his wide chest while half smiling at what the human would do. He wasn't even slightly hiding the fact that was watching carefully, ready to strike should he see anything happening he didn't like.
Soon the cell door next to him swung open, the guard with the key moving to the other side of the room, also prepared to attack on Konor's order. Inside the assassin was now sitting up slightly looking over the large group gathered there with a curious look in his eye and a slight smile on his lips, but he remained quiet still as he simply looked on.
Nemeia moves in with Sora to better get a good look at the assassin and try to see anything on them that would help the case. She waits to speak until Sora seems to have completed her questioning.
Khorzik steps inside the cell with Sora. He moves straight to the assassin. "Stand up and place your hands on the wall." He then begins searching the assassin very carefully.
Sora walks into the cell without a trace of worry, she sets the chair down not far from the bed but facing the opposite direction so she can straddle the chair, sitting on it backwards as she looks back at the assassin. As she waits for Khorzik to finish searching him, she rests her arms against the back of the chair while keeping her eyes on the culprit.
"So, we didn't get a chance to properly introduce ourselves last time. My name's Sora." She smiled at the assassin, "I understand if you don't want to give me your name. We've both been in your current predicament before, so as a professional courtesy I'd be more then happy to skip to the part where we just work out a deal."
The assassin sits up looking over everyone with a smirk, seemingly perfectly comfortable in his current surroundings. Unphased and without hesitation, he moves as instructed by Khorzik, letting himself be searched. Nothing is found on his person other then the plain linen shirt and pants he was likely supplied with after being stripped of his normal belongings by the guards. Once finished he sits back down on the bed, reclining backwards so he can rest against the wall, with one foot up on the edge of the bed and a hand resting on his knee. He looks more like he's relaxing with friends on a couch then being interrogated in a prison cell.
He returns Sora's smile as he listens to her speak before offering a response,"Well if I'm being honest I would prefer not to give you my full name, but it would be rude not to introduce myself as well. How about Dan? I like Dan. You're more then welcome to call me that if you'd like. And I would love to hear what sort of deal you have in mind. At the very least it should much more entertaining then staring at the stones on the roof."He turns to Konor and adds,"Not that I take any issue with your dungeon roof. In fact it's one of the more lovely, well crafted dungeons I've seen in my career."

Witt stays outside the cell, looking in through the door, listening and watching the prisoner. I wonder if this is the first real murderer I've ever seen, he wonders to himself, thinking back on his relatively peaceful and happy childhood and life so far, and unsure what to make of the dark and dismal surrounding he finds himself in. He studies the man's face, wondering if he's lying or if he really doesn't care much about his predicament:

Khorzik hangs back after the search to let Sora question the prisoner. A thought occurs to him. "I have a disagreement with the current queen. Maybe you can help me settle it. How much were you paid to kill the princess?"

Sora spent a few moments just watching this 'Dan' as he spoke, carefully trying to get a sense of him and how easily she would be able to make a deal for what they really wanted.
"Let's be honest here." She told him in a friendly tone, playing off Khorzik's question like this was a conversation between friends, "What happens to you isn't what's important to us right now. What we really care about is who hired you. After all they can always hire someone else to finish the job."

"That suits us as well." Then falls into a fast walk to keep up with the long strides of the goliath.
"Perfect!" Sora calls out as she stands up and moves along with everyone, eager to speak with this assassin.

9 follows after them, ”So, what’s the plan? Do we just ask questions?”
"That's the plan. Of course we'll need to make sure any information that's provided is factual and not just done to get us to stop asking questions."

Witt - His name probably isn't Dan. But other then that he seems like he's being sincere, though probably self serving.
