Hopefully that new armor will protect you," says the Professor as he reaches out with his mind and grabs the arrow that missed the troll, accelerating it back at the creature with unnatural speed. With a flick of his hand, he directs the Flaming Sphere to follow the troll and burn it once more, even as he continues to head north, trying to keep the noncombatants on the disk away from the troll.

Shae will move up to Berrus, placing a hand on his shoulder to let him know she was there. She’d offer him her boomerang as she’d stand almost back to back with him, trying to keep her peripherals on the troll as she directs and watches over Snively and the floating disc.
“Get the rest of the group towards that tree line! Maybe the density of the trees will help us elude the beast.” Though secretly Fang was wanting to kill the troll to collect a rare trophy. He also wondered what the creature had been fighting with to cause its injuries. While hoping it wasn’t still around. Fang will continue moving with the group keeping his eyes trained on the beast.

Resting on top of the bank, Berrus is ready to strike at the troll as soon as it clambers through the river and up their bank. Shae stands close by, making sure to provide support. Bertrand, leaping off of the disc, is running towards the bank. Brax, Cliff, Zip and Falx with their crossbows join as well, letting loose two bolts.
The troll evades the catapulted arrow, but is singed by the flaming sphere and angered even more, since the troll is down in the river bed and unable to see who is hurting it. Just then, a bolt whizzes past its head, and as it turns to face its attackers, a second one slams into the troll's shoulder. The blood of the troll is mixing with a thick, viscious yellowy green pus.

The troll was moving away from the soon-to-be-grenade! That was not supposed to happen. Maxine picked up the burning torch stalk (with still active Mage hand) and placed it again on top on trolls head.
Seeing the beast enter the river Fang cautiously moves back towards Maxine knocking an arrow as he moves and loosing it as soon as he gets to Maxine “So much for the quiet approach” then looses the arrow toward the troll aiming for it’s eye again. “Mushu, try and sting its other eye and get away quick as you can”

Shae would give Berrus’ shoulder another squeeze as a reminder to hopefully not make any rash decisions before she strafes out of reach. She’d move out to position herself in the trolls line of sight, trying to block Snively from its view, hoping she could skew its perception to think any attacks are coming from her and not the Professor. This time, Shae will prepare an attack. Following Fang’s lead, she’ll aim for its eyes.
Ready action for her turn: Eldritch Blast Attack: 15 Damage: 2
OOC: Shae, just FYI if it makes a difference for your actions, Snively has made no direct attacks. His spells so far have all had their effects to the west of the troll (behind it).

Mushu, stinging the Troll in the eye, results in a very loud and angry roar from the troll, frustrated by the attacks by such puny opponents. As it sluggers forwards, it is struck by Shae's eldritch blast, and sluggishly makes another step, before falling into the river. It takes a couple of seconds, but then a loud snore erupts, and you're certain that the beast is out cold from Mushu's sting!
Using the opportunity, you make your way to the tree line as quickly as possible, all the while keeping an eye out for whatever creature managed to wound a troll. A short while later, you find the culprit: A mangled corpse of a jungle beast the likes of which you are glad not to have encountered so far. It resembles a gorilla, but is much larger, and boasts an additional two strong arms, and talon-like claws. Luckily for you, this one seems to have been killed when the troll snapped its spine.
Would you like to investigate further or press on and get as far away from the troll as possible?

"Another monster, which is not going to eat us right away. But if we do not put a good distance between us and the troll, he will track us by smell. We have to go." Maxine was curious, but to safely examine another wonder of the jungle, they would have to get rid of one attacking them first.
Shae would be guilty of going up on her tip toes in hopes she could get a better glance of the creature, but she was in complete agreement, they need to keep moving. She wouldn’t go without adding the thought out loud. “If it’s anything like it’s cousins, it could travel in packs. We must remain diligent as to what could be in front of us, as well as remembering what is tailing us.” The warlock will take a deep breath, pressing on ahead. She’d take the lead, keeping her ears actively listening for any movement that’s not their own.
You press on through the jungle, careful to leave as little of a trail as possible, with Berrus constantly on the lookout for any signs of the troll, or the large beast it had slain. After three hours of carefully moving forward, you've crossed a small stream and a swampy area, making you pretty sure that the troll won't be able to follow you further. Being careful has meant that you didn't progress as quickly as you'd have wanted though, and you're still stuck in swampy terrain, as the sun sets. Soon, you're surrounded by swarms of mosquitoes, and the clear night seems to amplify all the noises of the animals around you. After a short while, you find a small muddy island among the swamp. It's damp, and there are plenty of mosquitoes and perhaps other animals around, but on the other hand it means you might be able to bed down for the night.
Do you want to stay here, or push on through the swamp?
