You guys open the door to the balcony overlooking the temple area, you see a man in the middle of the temple on his knees praying. 

You hear the man say " Oh great and faceless god. I offer you this sacrifice as a gesture of supplication" He then pulls out a live toad, swallows it whole as a sacrifice.

What the....Skorn says, and walks to the top of the steps. Oi! Who are you, and are you friend or foe?

He says " I am Rahadin, chamberlain to Strahd" " I am neither friend or foe" "Fear not for I want no business with you"

To Strahd, eh? Skorn grins. Tell him we will be along soon. He will regret bringing us here.

Her orb comes alive in her hand, and a bolt of feathered lightning streaks across the room at him as he takes to the stairs.

He will attack you back Deathly Choir. Any creature within 10 feet of Rahadin that isn't protected by a mind blank spell hears in its mind the screams of the thousands of people Rahadin has killed. As a bonus action, Rahadin can force all creatures that can hear the screams to make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw. Each creature takes 16 (3d10) psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
