"Good on ya Zack lets finish these beasts off" as Ankor finishes this sentence the serpent takes advantage of the distraction and just barley gets the best of Ankor and wraps its damaged body around him, but luckily its bite is stopped by his heavy chain mail armor. "Ah crap, Okay Tefkae could use a little help now!" Ankor calls out sorta joking sorta not.
Tefkae brings out the deadly blade to her arm, slicing it along the serpent as its form seems to melt away, leaving Ankor free to move once again. (Mist Serpent 1: defeated)
Party, you're up!

Zack decides that the situation is sufficiently under control to warrant him stop blowing through all his spell slots. He points to the remaining Mist Serpent and two skeletal hands appear on opposite sides of it. The hands move in to strangle the warm in a comical and cartoonish fashion.
Zack brings the spectral hand up, throttling the serpent that is engaged with Cpt. Obaysch and The Hunter. The parts the hand manages to grasp seem to fade away, leaving just gaps on the creature. (Mist Serpent: 27 damage.)
Victoria/Ankor, you're up!
Initiative: Round 3
17. Victoria (38/38 HP) 14. Tefkae (45/45 HP)
14. The Hunter (uninjured)
10. Ankor (36/46 HP, Spiritual Weapon active until turn 12) 10. Zack (21/30 HP)
With the blast of magic missiles, and the radiant strikes of the blessed handaxe, the final serpent is destroyed, its form disappearing back into the background mists.
Encounter Over!
The Hunter quickly looks over to Ankor. "Here, let me have a look." She says. "You got bitten."
Zack quickly approaches. He is seriously curious as to what getting bitten by these mist creatures does. He feels a bit guilty for caring more about the effects of the bite than Ankor's well-being though. He really should try and find a way to "cure" that.
Tefkae, despite being equally curious, merely recalled her rapier and kept an eye out for any more mist creatures for a short while. Mr. Pepper had no such compunctions, and would circle above Ankor, getting himself as much an eye full as possible. Once it appeared the Hunter had down all she could or wanted to do, a yowl from Pepper encourages Tefkae to ask, "How likely is it that we will be besieged any time soon by more mist creatures?"

"Captain, shall we get the repairs done so we can get out of here." Turning back to the hunter "will you be joining us for our next journey?"

"There may be more nearby." The Hunter informs the group. "The quicker you are at finishing your repairs on this thing the better." She collects the arrows from the floor, now missing their radiant gleam as she wipes them with a cloth before returning them to the quiver. "You are lucky you can fix that, the bite of the serpents can start to cause your body to decay and eventually become one with the mist."
Cpt. Obaysch returns to work, sheathing his sabre as he barks some orders at Eight-Bit. "So when our vessel is complete, we need to get it back into this river here. A good old heave-ho should do the trick, what." He then looks to The Hunter, seconding the notion of Ankor. "You mentioned we require your lantern to get through the mists."
"I did." The Hunter says. "I would like to see what lies beyond these dour trees, the legends that they tell us as children." She looks to the party. "If you allow me to follow you for the time being, at least until we find the end of the mists, I will aid you how I can."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zack decides that the mists are mysterious and warrant some experimentation. He takes out one of his books and begins to makes some notes. The notes aren't big and before long, he's looking around the place where everyone is for rats.

"Interesting. This may explain the lack of information about other races, as they are more likely to have explored the mist and 'found' their own civilizations."Tefkae paused, and then looks to the canopy. "Or at least have tried; especially if pushed out by your ancestors." They go on to listen, but continue to appear lost in thought until the Hunter spoke up once more. "You have already proven yourself to be an valuable assistant. I still fail to see any reason why you should not accompany us for however long you choose to. Though, it would be recommended that it be until we have left the mists, at the very least."
The last line is accompanied by an at least attempt at patting the Hunter's shoulder. Regardless of how that goes, the construct wordlessly joins Eight-Bit on the ship to assist in repairs.

Zack discovers there is a seeming lack of local fauna in this area; only plants and mist beasts seem to roam beyond the town borders...
The ship takes some time to get the basic fixes worked. Cpt. Obaysch wipes a bit of sweat from his brow. "Well, it will serve us until we can come across a true dry dock." He comments. "Prepare for cast off in 10 minutes!" He calls to the group. "Let's give her the old heave-ho!" The ship requires the group to push against it with some might (a group Strength (Athletics) check to unbeach it).

Zack noticing a distinct lack of fauna, picks up his notebook and jots down notes. Then on the Captain's call, he puts the book back in his backpack. He seems to have mastered the art of taking things out of his backpack without fully taking it off by pulling one arm out and twisting his backpack to his front. He gets ready to try and help the party to push the ship back into the water though he feels he won't be able to help much on the count of being physically weak. Maybe if he pushes hard enough and at the right angle he can help out somehow?
