At the same time the poor guard whose been mentally assaulted since the start feel the beam of energy bore into his brain assault his thoughts. He cries out in pain but steadies himself as he tries to shake off the mental attack
Meanwhile v10 looks to both his ally and the incoming reinforcements. He calls out for some of his allies to drop the crossbows and enter the courtyard to stop the new arrivals from entering before turning to help his friend to keep the party from getting inside. He charges forward and makes an attack against Rollo, Claire, and Nadia. Each attack is the picture of perfection and elegance, a dance of whirling blades that connects with all his targets and and sending the parties blood streaking across the stone of the keep in his wake.

She drops to one knee, wincing in pain, and then is swept by a rush of adrenaline. With the Lizardmen occupying the courtyard and a soldier right before her who might break her concentration anyways, she foregoes casting Wind Wall to attack the soldier directly. She springs towards him, planting her hands on his chest. "Divine Light, burst from within my enemy. Smother the light of my foe with mine own radiance!"
Nadia visibly winces when she hears Zack's shouting, having already moved after letting off a few shots in what she assumed was an okay spot? The elf couldn't think too much on it due to the attack on her hitting her pretty good. There's a hiss the escapes her, but regardless she still fights. Assuming the close combat fighters had the nuisance that was V10, Nadia aims a shot on any incoming guards that were going to try to combat their incoming reinforcements.

As V10 finishes his attack Claires hand starts to glow with magic as she prayed and summoned a deadly force in her touch. She reaches out towards the dual weilder thinking she caught him off guard as he finished his movements. Unfortunately the soldier was quite aware of an incoming counterattack and attempts to use his momentum to step back and avoid Claires touch just at the last possible second. Claires hand thus narrowly misses her target and the soldier glares at her realizing he only narrowly avoided a rather nasty wound as the spells energy fades.
On top of the wall V9 and V6 drop their crossbows and dash towards the gate with swords drawn, ready to drive back the Lizardfolk. While running to the gate two arrows fly their way and V9 stumbles slightly as an arrow strikes his back. Still on stop of the wall V7 moves to the stairs, about halfway down, giving him view of both the party and the gate. He raises his crossbow and fires at the giant Lizard, confident that the partys demise is in good hands but ready to jump in if needed. The bolt flys through the destroyed gate and hits the giant Lizardfolk before simply shattering on its thicc hide.
The Lizardfolk shield bearers start to flood into the gate corridor, only able to fit two at a time the ones in the back help the ones in front as they attempt to shove and sheild bash the two guards up front. The first sheild bearer seems to be quite successful, bashing the soldier with his spiked sheild and pushing the man back while also pushing forward, allowing the other Lizardfolk to start entering the courtyard. The second sheild bearer is less successful but as his allies enter the courtyard it seems to matter little.
Booming Blade: Attack: 19 Damage: 16 + 7 Thunder + 12 if he moves again.
Zack had taken a lot of damage and didn't want a repeat of last time, so he Shook it off as he saw the 'unfortunate' guard in their midst. And the air charged around him, flowing into his blade, as an endless 'fwowowowowo' noise emanated from it as it became charged. Big mistake coming over here all by your lonesome. You got good skill... But that all ends now. he said as his blade was brought down in a heavyhanded overhead chop with all of his force behind it. if there were no other sodliers Zack will move inside the door to keep himself from being hit, while shouting to Narz and Nadia Stop attacking! Just get inside while there's time!

Back with the party V8 takes swings at both Zack and Nadia, striking glancing blows against the pair.
From the gate the Large Lizardfolk charges through the gate and into the courtyard. With a loud roar he swipes a claw at V9 and tries to bite him. His claw cuts through the armor and manages to bite into the man's shoulder hurting him quite a bit. The man stumbles and shakes but remains standing.

V7 is on stairs to courtyard with a crossbow switching between Lizards and party as needed. Advantage against him as well.

Suddenly the soldiers armor begins to glow red hot and eminate heat as the soldier starts to scream with pain. The smell of burnt flesh under his armor starts to fill the air as he desperately tries to undo his armor.
With the melee being as thick as it is at the door, unless able to slip past the other Lizardfolk, Narz plucks on strands of the weave to again to scramble the mans mind. Not that he would have a much of a choice anyhow, given the late start. The familiars would continue to harass guards as much as they can, with the raven one even flying over to Zack's Foe(V8) in particular for the follow-up strike while replaying Narz' message about go ahead of him.

Not long after another one of Narzs mind assaults wracks the brain of V2 while the raven moves back to v8 (advantage against him) and caws for the party to go ahead already.
V10's armor continues to glow as the man desperately tries take off his armor, clamoring at straps and dropping his swords to better facilitate use of his fingers. Unfortunately he only manages to take off small parts of the armor but most of it remains.

Seeing the lizardfolk lend them a hand, Nadia feels a bit better continuing the fight. We got this, we got this, she tells herself as she stows away her bow to get out her sword. Let's put some of Zack's training to good use!

Claire sends the mote of fire crashing into V8's chest, opening him up for a follow up attack by Nadia. Her sword slashes across his battered armor and across his chest while the second catches his throat. The guard stumbles briefly before collapsing to the ground. V9 and V6 continue to attack several of the Lizardfolk around them in a frenzy of attacks on all sides. V7 even drops his crossbow and dives into the fray focusing on the closest Lizardfolk and scoring two dangerous blows. The sheildbearers work to deflect blows targeted at their allies with some affect, softening what would have been otherwise punishing hits.
The Lizard folk begin to retaliate against the soldiers. Ls1 turns his morning star against the foe behind him, Striking V7 across the arm and causing a loud snapping sound. The soldier howls in pain as one arms bones shatter. The same lizardfolk then turns back to the enemy in front of him and bashes him across the chest with his spiked sheild.
Ls2 engages v6 at the gate, his morning star parried by the soldier but his bite manages to get through the man's defenses. LS3 runs over to the group, intending on using his sheild to protect who he can. As he passes by two other soldiers manage get some serious blows into the Lizardman, a particularly nasty cut to the cut leaving him bleeding pretty severely (1d4 bleeding until healed. If Nadia allows he will dip for 3hp and heal the bleeding on his way to the party.) Once he reaches the party he quickly finishes off the burning Dualweilder, sweeping his legs with his morning star and then finishing off the man by slamming the sheild down on his head. The Lizardfolk says something in a language none of you know, but judging my the force of his tone you can tell its akin to an order. He points his morning star at the keep door.
Ls4 pushes up between V9 and 7 and next to his ally, focusing his attacks against the soldier with a broken arm. Both attacks hit for the man whose finding it harder to defend with one arm. Ls5 continues to focus on v6, but both his attacks are deflected easily.
(Just got the okay from nadia so one use of healing spirit used on LS3 who is no longer bleeding heavily)
Zack had thrown his sword at the nearby soldier in a farewell-strike, before summoning the sword back to his hand after impact (Discord Roll) before moving into the fort itself. Just after opening the door, he manages to get a breif look around ....
You open the door you find an open foyer with a set of stairs to your left and right that head up to a 2nd level with balcony overlooking the entrance. The base of the stairs are 15ft from you to either side. Itll take another 15 to reach the very top of the stairs. Straight ahead is a set of double wooden doors that appear locked judging by the heavy chain around the door handles. There is some wooden furniture along the walls that could be used as half cover if tipped over and ducked behind but little else. To your left and right about 10 ft beyond the stairs there are double wooden doors that presumably lead to other parts of the keep. You cannot tell if they are locked. They are 20ft from the entrance and offer little cover.
On the balcony you see several guards with crossbows trained on the door. As soon as you open the door to the keep you hear "Fire!" Before a volley of bolts flies your way. As the bolts come in the sheildbearer raises his spiked sheild to protect Zack from the full force of the blow. Despite this several bolts still hit their mark leaving you bloody and wounded but alive. You still have some movement left.
(From discord, Zack fails his dex save of dc 13 for 29 damage, LS3 uses his reaction to half the incoming damage. Believe Zack said he is down to 2hp. There are 6 more enemies who will be joining the initiative at the end of this round of combat.)
Zack feels the pelting of several bolts piercing his body in various locations, dropping to 12 hp from it (the 2 hp was what my 2nd shield shaved off of it) looking quickly, ahead, Zack says Thanks to the lizard -whether or not he understood was another thing- but regardless, Zack saw the locked door, and figured to himself if they have that door locked, its likely somewhere they don't want us to go. I'll take my bet there... and barring Zack 'dying' before then, his intent is to, as his next action, attempt to ram down that door too.

(Okay doesn't look like you moved or went behind cover so I'm going to assume you're just gonna stand there in the open I guess)
Back outside V3 pushed into the crowd to focus attacking the larger Lizardfolk. Unfortunately for him as he tries trust his sword into the renders chest the Lizardfolk dodges and counters with a bite to the arm. The soldier manages to pull himself free and cut the render across the face with his follow up. The render lets out a loud hiss like a crocodile before reaching over the heads of its companions with its claw in an attempt to knock the soldiers in the courtyard off their feet. Unfortunately it seems most.of the soldiers are able to duck in time to avoid the hit, with only V7 being knocked prone.

Rollo charges in and heads up the stairs making it near the top before continuing to push right up to the new soldiers in an effort to distract them. Claire sends the mote of fire crashing into V8's chest, opening him up for a follow up attack by Nadia. Her sword slashes across his battered armor and across his chest while the second catches his throat. The guard stumbles briefly before collapsing to the ground. V9 and V6 continue to attack several of the Lizardfolk around them in a frenzy of attacks on all sides. V7 even drops his crossbow and dives into the fray focusing on the closest Lizardfolk and scoring two dangerous blows. The sheildbearers work to deflect blows targeted at their allies with some affect, softening what would have been otherwise punishing hits.
The Lizard folk begin to retaliate against the soldiers. Ls1 turns his morning star against the foe behind him, Striking V7 across the arm and causing a loud snapping sound. The soldier howls in pain as one arms bones shatter. The same lizardfolk then turns back to the enemy in front of him and bashes him across the chest with his spiked sheild.
Ls2 engages v6 at the gate, his morning star parried by the soldier but his bite manages to get through the man's defenses. LS3 runs over to the group, intending on using his sheild to protect who he can. As he passes by two other soldiers manage get some serious blows into the Lizardman, a particularly nasty cut to the cut leaving him bleeding pretty severely (1d4 bleeding until healed. If Nadia allows he will dip for 3hp and heal the bleeding on his way to the party.) Once he reaches the party he quickly finishes off the burning Dualweilder, sweeping his legs with his morning star and then finishing off the man by slamming the sheild down on his head. The Lizardfolk says something in a language none of you know, but judging my the force of his tone you can tell its akin to an order. He points his morning star at the keep door.
Ls4 pushes up between V9 and 7 and next to his ally, focusing his attacks against the soldier with a broken arm. Both attacks hit for the man whose finding it harder to defend with one arm. Ls5 continues to focus on v6, but both his attacks are deflected easily.
(Just got the okay from nadia so one use of healing spirit used on LS3 who is no longer bleeding heavily)
Zack had thrown his sword at the nearby soldier in a farewell-strike, before summoning the sword back to his hand after impact (Discord Roll) before moving into the fort itself. Just after opening the door, he manages to get a breif look around ....

You open the door you find an open foyer with a set of stairs to your left and right that head up to a 2nd level with balcony overlooking the entrance. The base of the stairs are 15ft from you to either side. Itll take another 15 to reach the very top of the stairs. Straight ahead is a set of double wooden doors that appear locked judging by the heavy chain around the door handles. There is some wooden furniture along the walls that could be used as half cover if tipped over and ducked behind but little else. To your left and right about 10 ft beyond the stairs there are double wooden doors that presumably lead to other parts of the keep. You cannot tell if they are locked. They are 20ft from the entrance and offer little cover.
On the balcony you see several guards with crossbows trained on the door. As soon as you open the door to the keep you hear "Fire!" Before a volley of bolts flies your way. As the bolts come in the sheildbearer raises his spiked sheild to protect Zack from the full force of the blow. Despite this several bolts still hit their mark leaving you bloody and wounded but alive. You still have some movement left.
(From discord, Zack fails his dex save of dc 13 for 29 damage, LS3 uses his reaction to half the incoming damage. Believe Zack said he is down to 2hp. There are 6 more enemies who will be joining the initiative at the end of this round of combat.)
Zack feels the pelting of several bolts piercing his body in various locations, dropping to 12 hp from it (the 2 hp was what my 2nd shield shaved off of it) looking quickly, ahead, Zack says Thanks to the lizard -whether or not he understood was another thing- but regardless, Zack saw the locked door, and figured to himself if they have that door locked, its likely somewhere they don't want us to go. I'll take my bet there... and barring Zack 'dying' before then, his intent is to, as his next action, attempt to ram down that door too.

(Okay doesn't look like you moved or went behind cover so I'm going to assume you're just gonna stand there in the open I guess)
Back outside V3 pushed into the crowd to focus attacking the larger Lizardfolk. Unfortunately for him as he tries trust his sword into the renders chest the Lizardfolk dodges and counters with a bite to the arm. The soldier manages to pull himself free and cut the render across the face with his follow up. The render lets out a loud hiss like a crocodile before reaching over the heads of its companions with its claw in an attempt to knock the soldiers in the courtyard off their feet. Unfortunately it seems most.of the soldiers are able to duck in time to avoid the hit, with only V7 being knocked prone.
Rollo charges inside and then up the stairs, hoping that a large, angry barbarian will distract the people from shooting Zack some more.

Rollo charges in and heads up the stairs making it near the top before continuing to push right up to the new soldiers in an effort to distract them. Having an angry barbarian in their face does seem to be very distracting and should keep Zack from being targeted too heavily. (Dash discussed in discord).
Back on the wall v2 and V4 begin to move, making it to the stairs before firing their crossbows at the Large Lizardfolk.
The Shaman skirts around the edges of the courtyard and stops next to Zack in the open. He taps his staff on the ground and the feathers start to fade as his hide starts to thicken instead granting the shaman extra protection. At the top of the opposite stairs from Rollo the Shaman points is staff and utters an spell in draconic. Next to the soldiers opposite of Rollo four crocodiles appear and begin to hiss angrily at the guards.
