"Not all that helpful a thing in itself mind you, but I s'pose that brings us to the other thing we need to get sorted out. That, uh, namely being paying a visit to Moongleam tower together? 'sposely the folk there have some sort of teleportation network set up. And folk that connected tend to have their fingers in a lot more pies than that. So, could be they could point us to others that can help with find that druid of yers too. And... well, we do got this letter of recommendation from a guy that was running with us -- a noble fella from waterdeep. But he was a bit unclear as to who we'd need to talk to." He explained, ending on a dryly worded note.
"Now, so far it seems fairly obvious what we aughta do. But, it wouldn't hurt if ya join us anyways in case we -- that being me and Claire here -- get turned away at the door all the same. Zack looks confused for a moment at the mention of coincidence. Clearly he ...I didn't think anyone else would have any intel on a druid... atleast not specifically... a druid, or even a specific druid. But hey, things happen! We heard he's not far from here, in some woods not too far from this place, so I suggested we take a detour, get some good rest and good food - Plus we needed to stock up anyway.he says to Narz. Crossing his arms, smiling faintly, and nodding as if it were simply how things were supposed to be. As Narz continues on about the tower, Zack looks thoughtful, and serious, even after Narz himself managed to chuckle at the situation itself. He knew that Moongleam tower held an organization, though he wasn't sure which.
No, I getcha. I getcha. And we're already here, so it would make sense to see how the fish bite before moving to a new lake or some other such philanthropy. he says, waiving his hand dismissively. Then Claire Chimes in as well.. Yeah, I get it! he re-affirms with a nod. Hell, why don't we just go there now? No time like the present! I'll try not to throw my title around too much but I'll do what I can to help!
Natasha remains silent as you all get reacquainted. Though quiet she listens intently to the conversation, giving a smile though perhaps not an entirely sincere one at the mention of her sisters expecting children and fading away into her thoughts until the end. Ah yes, if you are all going to Moongleam then I think I'll continue asking around about Aerglas. I had been studying with him in Shadowtop Cathedral in the High Forest but he left one day with little warning. Only said he was heading North, and was pretty vague about the reasons. When Zach showed up looking for him he'd already been gone for several tendays. I'm beginning to get worried something happened. So I'll keep looking while you all do whatever it is you came here to do. We can meet up back here later maybe you can share some stories of your adventures yeah?
"Eh, sure. Quite a lot did happen on the way here, including the running in with some, uh... 'associates of some old friends' of Zack's here. Which--" Narz turns from Natasha. "--Is probably anotha' thing me and Claire should give you the run down on, seeing as I'm not a ton sure how you and 'them' have been getting on these days since that whole kidnapping incident a few months back. But, that can be explained more in detail on the way... Maybe. Or at least--" He glances around warily. "Someplace a bit quieter than even this setting. Nothin' against the folk here of course, but... ehh, better ta play it safe around potential ear hustlers." Narz explained, and unless pressed on the matter or further encouraged by Claire, intended to leave things there.
"Oh, and by the way, did eitha' of ya hear anything 'bout a roaming frost giant that liked to helped the little folks on the way to this city by any chance? It's fine if you hadn't, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask just in case." He further said after rising from his seat, and looking otherwise ready to go.

Oh! You wouldn't happen to be talking about Harshnag the frost giant would you? thats who the druid was up here looking for. Ive never met him, but I've heard rumor he was wandering the North. I was hoping if I couldn't find Aeglas on my own he might be able to help if I could find him.
(Just for Claire due to your passive insight. In your brief conversation with Natasha you get the sense she's troubled by something, possibly involving her sister as that was when you saw she seemed to withdraw from the conversation at least until the druid was brought up again.)
"Seems like we're all on the same page then," Claire declares, clearly satisfied that getting each other up to speed was such a smooth process, but then her face becomes somber. "Also... If you were wondering where Rollo is... he's no longer with us... um, dead, I mean." If asked, Claire would hesitantly go into more detail, but otherwise leaves it at that.
Throughout the conversation, Claire lets a few curious glances go towards Natasha, and if there is a moment of quiet and privacy for the two of them, Claire will seek her out to ask what's wrong.
(OOC: Thought I posted 10,000 years ago, but apparently it didn't go through again... le sigh.)
Narz goes wide eye for just a second, before then slowly giving a faint but crooked smiled and nodded to Natasha. "Small world... some would even say that the gods themselves are taking a more active role in moving pieces fer this one, least them more uppity giants actually manage to do more than shuffle their deck this go around, eh? Either way, seems we got all the more reason to be looking out fer this druid of yours, and maybe we might even get ourselves lucky finding a firm answer at the tower." He comments before looking to the others. "But we won't be getting our answers sitting 'round here for a second longer. Daylights burning 'n all." At that, if he hadn't already gotten out of his seat by then, Narz is sure to do so and carry on outside at the very least. But realizing that reaching the tower may not be as simple as following a single street or simply keeping it in sight as they go, he'd risk some ire in asking any passerby on how best to reach it.

Oh I wouldn't say that, Natasha replies to Narz. Even the few folk in Shadowtop Cathedral, far removed from the rest oof civilization, have heard of the giants increased activity. Aerglas was a adventurer himself and told me quite a bit of his life when he was young. Before he left he told me of Harshnag and his accomplishments and service to Waterdeep. Seems to me many people may be in search of the old frost giant. He must have a good heart, if Aerglas spoke as highly as he did of him.
To Claire Natasha offers a silent prayer for the departed Rollo words of Sympathy but does not pry further, sensing it to be a difficult subject and now not seeming an appropriate time.
As Narz gets up so does Natasha, gathering up her things she says I'll let Zack show you around then. I'm going to go to my room and figure out what to do next. I'll catch up with you later.
Natasha heads upstairs towards the rooms, leaving the three of you to your buisness.
Claire, if you wanted to talk to her alone now would probably be a good time. Zack and Narz can either go to the tower and you catch up or they could perhaps wait for you.
Claire excuses herself from Narz and Zack, leaving the business to them, and slips upstairs. Whether the door to Natasha's room is open or closed, Claire would rasp on the doorframe lightly.

The door to her room is half open. You catch Natasha as she's putting her weapons off in the corner of the room before you knock. Hello? Oh, it's you..Claire was it? Is there something you needed?
Zack's smile fades bit, but only so much. Ultimately leveling out to a line as he crosses his arms and nods. Welp... that sucks. he says genuinely, before continuing But Rollo was a warrior of some kind. I'm sure he found an honorable death. Still, There's someone out there that misses him, so if we ever find em, or you do, if we part ways again, make sure to tell em. he lets that sit in the air for a few moments, before Narz continues, Zack's attention turning to him.
As Narz tells him what he does, Zack looks thoughtful for a moment before saying Strange though, that we'd both be looking for someone who shouldn't be that widely known... How'd you guys come to hear about him? he says, genuinely curious. Listening to whatever answer Narz gives.
See ya Nat, don't get into any trouble this time. he says teasingly as she heads off, with Claire following not long behind her, as the pair are likely to experience some Japanese culture. Back with Narz he says
Well, looks to me like it's just a guys night now. And what better time than the present? Let's see if I can throw some weight around, eh? he says, winking, as he sets his sword down in the corner, easily visible to any naerdowells, rogues, and other types.

Claire hesitates at the doorway before quietly asking if she can come in, though even as she speaks she steps acroess the threshold and shuts the door behind her. "Uhm... is everything all right? Zack and Narz: You leave the tavern and head in the direction of Moongleam tower. Moongleam Tower, a keep of black stone, is the cities most prominent feature, rising from one of the higher Knolls in the city and consisting of four narrow, cylindrical towers joined together, surrounded by a dry moat. Crowning the roof is an open turret, where a signaling mirror shaped like a crescent moon stands. As you approach the building one of the towers garrison notices your approach and signals to her companions. A group of three soldiers gather to meet you and they halt you while still on the other side of the moat. The apparent leader of this group, a human woman with hair cut to a fade in the sides giving her a sweeping fauxhawk and dressed in heavy armor devoid of any insignia calls out. Hold there sirs. We were not made aware of any visitors today. State your buisness with Moongleam. The other two guards, an dwarven male and another human stand to the side, hands on weapons but with a posture that Zack would likely recognize as being more a show of force without expectation to need to use it. They are on guard and appear to be ready to deal with any threats, but don't see you as a threat but more an unkown or a curious tourist. They do given Narz a few extra glances but seem to accept the fact that if he's casually walking through the city he probably belongs here.
Claire: Natasha watches as Zack and Narz head further into the city and nervously fiddles with her fingers. Good. I wouldn't want to worry Zack. Its nothing against him mind you but he could get the wrong idea. Im not really sure how to start.. I just, well you heard he and my sister, well, I'm to be an aunt. It worries me. They'll be half elves, and we'll. She looks to you as if trying to gauge something then continues. You look about my age. You're whatever? 19? 20? In fifty years you'll be old and withered and near the end of your days. In 50 years most elves would still consider me a child. My sister is only a few years older than me. In fifty or 60 years, Zack will be an old man, in 100 he'll be long dead. Meanwhile my sister will be in the prime of her life. Half elves live what? 100 years? 150 if they are lucky? My sisters children, my neices or nephews, will live full lives, grow old and die long before either of us have entered our second century of life. I think about that and I find the whole thing...depressing. Natasha frowns deeply at the thought. Its clear to you its something she's been thinking about a lot.
I'm sure it seems odd to complain about a long lifespan. But I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to cope with it. Any friends I make who aren't elves with wither and die before my eyes while I remain young and able. That will happen likely several times if those friends are humans or of the other short lived races. It never seemed to bother my sister any but it bothers me quite a bit, and the more I think about it the more I find I shy away from non-elves. I left the orphanage around the same time as my sister and haven't looked back. Since then I've been seeking other elves, hoping to learn what it actually means to be an elf. I spent some time with a clan in Ardeep Forest but, we weren't a good fit for eachother. I ended up in Shadowtop Cathedral and meeting Aerglas. Hes an old elf and a powerful druid. I had only just begun learning from him before he left and well, here we are. Since meeting Zack and learning about him and my sister, everything that scared me about getting close to non-elves has only gotten worse.
Natasha shrugs, as if to say she's laid it all bare. As I said, I dont really expect a human to understand. How could anyone whose not so similarly "gifted" with long life. But there it is.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zack casually throws a hand up in greeting, his face brightening at the chance to speak to someone near their objective. His posture is relaxed, yet powerful. Professional. As his hand falls, he looks up at the tower as if in awe, letting out a soft sigh - Followed by a casual shrug. Well, we'd heard about the tower and wanted to see it for ourselves, afterall - no experience is ever better than seeing something with your own eyes, rather than imagining it after its description leaves someone's lips. Little did I know there'd be a Moonlit Rose just at its feet. he said, choosing rose to also signify 'thorns' thus meaning she could handle herself. Though to answer your question, my name is Zack Fair. Master at Arms of the Daggerford Military, And this here, is an old friend who helped me save a ranking member of Daggerford from imprisonment by some evil demon.
As Tymora would have it, we both found each-other here after several months apart, and our goals somewhat aligned. I came here to seek out some druid of note. Meanwhile, he came here to seek an audience that might aid with bot our goals. I'll let him explain that part himself.
He let that stew in the air for a moment, before pressing on. Regardless, both of our goals are to reduce, if not outright stop the giant attacks that have been going on at random, and in my case, seeing if we might make some diplomatic ties in case either your city or mine is attacked. As for word of visitors, we both only got into town in the last few hours.
