The spectral hand appears and grabs the vampire, pulling him off Aeyd and increasing his frustration yet again though he seems to resist the damage from the spell itself. Frustrated he begins to retreat once more, running to the edge of the loft and then running along the ceiling, below Aeyd, and towards the exit of the cave. Chalaska turns and cleaves Thug 5 in half with ease before turning back and hitting the Zhent leader who likewise begins looking around for a means of escape. The vampire continues to run moving another 30ft towards the exit and getting halfway down a tunnel leading out. (Is now 60ft away from those fighting Zhents.)
Action: Wind Wall (DC 16 STR save or 3d8 bludgeoning dmg)
Claire directs her spear to pierce the Zhent Leader and then drops concentration on Bless in favor of casting wind wall down the hallway past the vampire. She will have it span the hallway in two places with 30 feet between them (10-30-10, so it will look kinda like a bracket ] ). She places it far enough down the hallway so that the vampire would only be able to make it through one side of the wall on his LA movement.

Aeyd might have been feeling a bit cocky as she managed to keep herself from getting bitten once again from the vampire. She reminds herself to thank Narz later for casting the spell he had on her, and also for Torsus in assisting with getting him off her. Another thanks would need to be given too, it seemed, as a spectral hand manages to rip him off her, giving her an opening.

An inferno rages behind dark brown irises at the sight of the vampire running away once again. "You're not getting away this time!"She shouts, breaking into a run right after him, only stopping when she sees him force himself through Claire's wall of wind. The corner of the monks mouth twitches as her chest glows orangey hot, and soon, she parts her lips, releasing a breath of burning hot flames down the hallway!

Torsus' eyes follow the undead thing as it scales the walls like a spider, though with the movements made by a 'humanoid' body it would look ridiculous. Torsus smiles in bemusement, or atleast his face does. Hos body enveloped entirely in eldritch energy at this point, a mixture of a sickening yellow, and voidlike violet that seemed to waft around him like mist on a body after taking a hot shower in winter. Seeing his escape hampered first by wind, only for it to become a Fire-Whorl, or at-least the closest approximation, given the circumstances. Torsus pursued to creature, moving to make sure he had the best spot, even if that 'faster path' would lead him into opportunistic strikes. His wand aimed down the hallway as two void blasts are sent the vampires way. The both filled with the energy to pull, though only one would expend it, leaving the other, if it hit, inert of 'gravity.'
But sir.... the fun is just beginning.... Must you leave so soon? Before we... Torsus seems to hold back the end of his statement though his face shows a smile that seemed wider than possible as he tried to keep the vampire as close as possible to danger, or at-least make his escape less likely.
Torsus magic goes through the windwall without issue and strikes the vampire pulling him a little closer to the edge of the wall. Aeyd chases down the vampire before inhaling deeply and exhaling the firey breath of a dragon, lighting up the hall and singing the vampire. More significantly however the flames mix with Claires magic, turning the simple wind wall into a firey vortex.
The Zhent thug in the back tries to fire a crossbowbolt at Aeyd as she's distracted but it misses and flies into the burning vortex where the bolt is consumed by fire. The Zhent leader meanwhile continues to try and take out the two annoyances in front of him, this time managing to land one hit on Claire, leaving a gash across her hip.
The vampire curses, severely injured and not sure where to turn. Unable to heal and knowing to continue to fight would spell his demise, he decides to take a gamble and run through the last of the fire. You can all hear the vampire scream in pain as the fire vortex burns his skin but he makes it through and continues to flee at full speed down the cavern.
(Vampire is out of sight for everyone but Aeyd can still close the gap with haste. Vamp will use LA's to flee 30ft each.)
The screams of the vampire were like music to Narz' ears. But it alone wasn't enough. Seeing neither hide or hair of either Torsus and Ayed focusing their attention on the thug and thug leader still assaulting Chalaska and Clair, the hobgoblin had to conclude the vampire was in full retreat. "This.. will not... Do." Once more Narz reached into a newly conjured pattern of arcane sigils, turning his hands skeletal and make the motion of grasp on to something.
From beyond his sight, the vampire will just see the greater phantasmal hand again reaching to grasp and yank him back in the rough direction of the wall and others, and continue to cling on to him well after.
Acti-onnah: Casting Death Grip on Vampire. To Hit: 18 For: 13 of Necrotic Damage. Target cannot heal until the start of Narz' Turn, and is pulled 5ft closer to the party using Gravity Well feature.

The vampire is tugged along by the skeletal hand yet again and though its not particularly harmful to him it does prevent him regaining his vitality yet again. The vampire continues to use his supernatural speed to move down the corridor. Chalaska shouts Dammit don't let it escape! Get out if my way you Zhent bastard! This is my town and you've stained it enough! With two heavy slashes of her greatsword she sends the Zhent leader back in his heals. He falls to a knee but recovers though this time it looks like the fight might be out of him as his thoughts turn to fleeing as well.
Claire gasps at the sting of the Zhent Leader's blade, and drops concentration on wind wall, letting the vortex dissipate. Claire sends her spear after the Zhent leader one more time (non-lethal), hoping to clear the way for herself and Chalaska. She then disengages and moves her 30ft down the corridor after the Vampire.

Aeyd catches up with the vampire thanks to her immense speed aided by Narz's magic. Catching the vampire unawares she manages to tackle him before unceasing a series of blows that leaves his head a mushy pulpy mess. The others catch up in time to see the vampire fade away into dust, unable to return thanks to a convenient inn fire destroying its resting place. In a tunnel nearby a certain barbarian feels his free will return to him.
A few moments later Chalaska catches up. The Zhent leader is captured. Where's the vampire? Tell me it didn't escape.
Good. Chalaska spits on the ground. A few moments of silence pass before you hear footsteps from the tunnel you just came through. Chalaskas Lieutenants are beaten and bloody but look triumphant. No need to check on us.Calls a voice from the opposite tunnel. Dakkur comes limping down the tunnel with only two of her band. Found something of yours. she announces to Narz before tilting her head back down the tunnel. A bloodied Rollo approaches looking sullen and pale.
Rollo has sheathed his sword and looks both annoyed and disappointed at the same time. "I told you to kill me. Get it over with. With that thing gone now you can do it and I won't have to fight back any more. Just end it."

Claire storms over to Rollo, eyes a ablaze, and slaps him across the face. “Half the reason we chose to do this was to free you, and you aren’t responsible for what he made you do. Don’t spit on our effort by saying something so stupid. You may have had your connection to your god severed, but I will not abandon you.” Claire’s eyes move over to Dakkurz and the goblins, and her resolve weakens for a moment as the fact that Rollo probably killed their friends actually dawns on her, but she steels herself, looking back to Rollo with stubborn glint in her eyes.
Narz grunted in agreement. Upon realizing that without the pressing threat of the vampire that time was growing short, the hobgoblin became lost in thought trying to readjust prior plans. As he absently feigns studying the ash, the arrival of others draws him not only to the present, but elicited at grimace as well from the goblinoid, as time clearly had run out at that point. Before Narz can fully smooth his face back into the more neutral, a brow goes up in mute surprise seeing Rollo.
But again, too much pondering plus a very hot-blooded human robbed him of any initiative to speak. So he just straightened out brushing his hands off one another before folding them behind his back, and then waited until the initial fire in Claire burned itself out. At that point he clears his throat a bit. "While I cannot say I fully expected to see you here, Rollo, and your state calls much into question as to why and how you came to be here... You could've just as well sought the sun over making any request now that you're free. For the moment." He said plainly.
"The fact that you haven't already slunk off to do so suggest... hmm..." At that point he looks to Dakkurz and her two bandmates, opened his mouth to question, but then with a bit of grimace, closed it and look to Chalaska. "With respect to your jurisdiction, I believe his fate is in part in your hands. Dakkurz here would have to attest to whether or not he's been of assistance in taking down any Zhent agents, thus presumable deserving of any leniency. Even if that's limited to quiet but permanent exile until his state of living has been properly restored. Of which, there...*sigh*... /maybe/ a way, if he and the rest seek out the knowledge back in Waterdeep. We have a possible contact in the lord's alliance that can help there." He expressed with some grudgingness.
" ... Alternatively, you could use him as a scapegoat. Garner some clout by making his death a public execution via the sun and lend further credence to having dealt with 'the Devil Bat' or whatever the locals called the now destroyed vampire we chased down here. Although depending on the evidence you can procure out of the Zhent leaders and their documents, that might just be excessive. The citizens will have their pound of flesh in those Zhents if all goes well... and in me." At that point he stands up straighter, and looked directly at Chalaska, assuring her he truly intended to keep his word and accepting his own fate.
Rollo looks from Narz to the human and back again. "Do the second. I will take any punishments you deem fit for whatever is needed. I can see that some tension is here. If my death pays it then it is gladly paid."
He looks to Claire with a slight bit of pity. "I am sorry but the person you fought to restore was always half dead anyways. I have lived the past 20 years because Tyr needed me to, not because I wanted to. Now Tyr is gone from me and I shall never feast in his halls. Without that there is no purpose for me anymore."
He stops for a long time before continuing. "Everyone I have ever cared about is already gone. Without my god it is best that I join them. Perhaps Tyr will send you a more worthy replacement."
