Insight Check to see if she notices Elwin's deception or if she takes him at his word = 18(She does not...as she has no way of knowing what he's doing)
Tam looks up at Elwin with the most vile-filled expression she could muster in that moment and has a decision to make. Keep doing this and wait to get murdered by her "partner" or let this ******* go and see what happens. Since DB has absolutely no control over his mouth and her suspicions are reinforced that he has his own agenda (given his earlier performances), she chooses the latter.
So, Tam stands up and let's the halfling go, while starring Elwin directly in the face. She pulls her rapier and growls out, "Your move," as she goes to incapacitate the halfling by slicing his Achilles tendons.
The second attack slashes the Halfling Assassin in the heels, in the goriest of fashions. He collapses to the ground, bleeding all over the bathroom floor. By now, the old woman has fled the room, protected by her son. They look down at the bleeding Halfling, and start shouting "Guaaaaaards!!!!!"

By the time he hopped into the room, Elwin's face was the embodiment of confusion. The dwarves were out of the way now, albeit yelling for guards (which might actually be a help.) And with the halfling now on the floor, at least he was immobilized, and the situation more-or-less resolved. He closed his open mouth before turning to look askance at Tam.
"You know there's not actually any reward, right?"
He suspected there was more going on than there appeared to be, but decided it could wait until the assassin was taken care of. He walked over and knelt down next to him, pulling out rope from his backpack as he did. It might have seemed cruel, but he wasn't about to take a chance and let the killer attack him just as he finished tending to his wounds. Restraints first.
Elwin attempts to quickly hog-tie the halfling: arms behind his back, wrists tied together; knees tied together; and then wrists tied to his knees. Hopefully this leaves ample room to dress the wounds on his ankles.
Athletics Check if needed for grappling: 13 Sleight of Hand Check to tie the assassin up: 5 (-2 if just a straight Dexterity check)
*sigh* I really hope that Athletics Check isn't needed....
X looked at the alchemist with question before looking at Tori who suddenly got close to him and the drunken person he was holdng in his grasp with a blank look that seemed to carry an odd vibe to it as if questioning what she was going "I believe that would be a bad idea to dig into his eyes... I think we could just let him go or get ride of him somewhere" he suggested backing away a bit before looking at his puke covered chest "I must also ask if you have a way for me to clean myself as I do not enjoy being covered in this dirty substance"
Tori looks X41 up and down incredulously - "Listen buddy, the only shower I've got available is probably at least as stinky as the one you already took there... but it is a pretty golden color."
She motions for the Alchemist to stay low and follow in the Priest of Mielikki disguise she's provided. She pulls her shield around her arm in a casual fashion and drops the arm around the man's shoulders, letting the shield hang across his back.
"Let's move back to Gavin's tavern as quickly and stealthily as possible. We can secure one of his inter-dimensional rooms and all take a nice bubble bath together. I'll wash your back, X."
She tightens her grip on the Alchemist's shoulders, grabs X's big, vomit-covered appendage with her other hand, and begins pulling everyone towards the direction she'd like to go.
(OOC - assuming X agrees AND we're not attacked, let's go straight to Gavin)
X nodded his head as he looked at Tori before he spent a second processing something in his head “I will likely not require a bath, just simply some time to wet rags and polish my plating, however assistance would be appreciated ” he said clearly not understanding the full implications as allowed himself to be moved with tori as he tried to keep an eye out for whatever was nearby and anyone who was following them

Tam sheaths her blade and leans against the wall, waiting for the Guards to arrive.
Still scowling at Elwin, she spits out, "So eager to help a murderer. He just killed someone in front of you; his comfort should be of no concern to you." Adding with only slightly less disdain, "It might be best go through his pockets for anything useful, before the guards get here. Think you can manage it or would you like to call the Dwarf back in here for assistance to share in the wealth?"

Elwin tied the last knot before turning to Tam. "What are you going on about?" he asked with a hint of concern in his voice. He'd pegged her as more experienced and professional before, but... was this adventurer one of those who were a tad bit... off?
There really wasn't time, so he sighed before summing up, "If we want him alive, we'll need to stop his bleeding. You can check him for whatever, I'll try to make sure he doesn't die on us." The warlock started tearing strips off the assassin's clothing and wrapping up his ankles, moving to allow Tam access to his pockets.

If she can see the larva, then she'll empty the bottle of whatever is around and stick in there, not using her bare hands to do so.
While searching, she says, "You had a hand in Quickblade's death, you broke the secrecy rule about of our mission, and you're attending a murderer. You gonna naive your way outta this or are you gonna tell me what's really going on? Cuz I can't fathom you being this thick." Adding, "The Guards are coming and that dwarf guy thinks we're common criminals. Thanks for that, by the way."

"What is going ON with this woman? Is she really crazy?!"
Elwin found himself wondering what contradictory accusation was going to be hurled at him next. Ignoring the ranger for the moment, he tried to focus on the task and checked the assassin one last time. He found that he'd stabilized--one point in their favor, finally.
It was then that the young man noticed the larva that Tam had bottled. He thought to ask if she'd seen anything like it, but decided against it. What was the point, when she was just as likely to simply spout more nonsense?
Instead, he simply shook his head as he started searching the assassin himself. "Look, Tam, I don't know what medicinals you partook of before coming out here on this mission, but they are clearly impairing your judgment. Now's not the place for this nonsense, so once we're back someplace safe, and you're sober, we can address whatever issues you've suddenly decided to develop."
Truth be told, he wasn't sure she was impaired--he'd seen many people subject to various types of intoxicants on the streets, but nothing exactly like this. But he was fairly certain that whatever was going on in her head rendered her utterly unreliable at the moment. "Either way, looks like I'll have to finish this myself," he thought as he quickly double-checked the pockets Tam had already checked. The guards were likely part of this community, and would handle the assassin, but Elwin figured there was still a good chance they might be connected to the Gingerbread Man, so it made sense for them--well, for him--to secure any clues regarding the man before the guards did.
After searching, he silently stood, awaiting the guards without bothering to converse anymore with Tam. He eyed the bottle she held with the larva, and found himself wondering if the clue would even get a chance to be looked over, considering their current state of affairs.
He decided not to doff his shield.
Investigation Check to re-search the assassin: 20 Sleight of Hand Check to hide whatever he finds onto his person before the guards arrive: 19
Tori pulls her priestess vestments out of her pack and tosses the green robes at the Alchemist. "Hurry and get dressed in these and stay out of sight. We're going to have to hide you to get you to the Tavern alive".
Sauntering over to X, she stands on her tippy-toes and has a look for herself. "Is that a worm?! I say we dig it out and keep it as a pet!"
She makes sure to stay well away from the biological hazard squirming in the drunk's eye. Pulling a candle from her pouch and lighting it,she holds it uncomfortably close to the drunk's eye to see if the thing squirms.
(OOC - did me putting the heat next to the worm do anything? I figured it might come out, but the forgot about it when it didn't. )
X walked up to the hanging chicken as he looked at the building before looking at the alchemist and Tori "we've made it"
"Ah yes, here we are again, my friend. Let's get this over with."
Grabbing the Alchemist by the elbow, she starts walking towards the bar.
Waiting for Gavin to acknowledge their very obvious entry, she makes eye contact and gets to the point in a low whisper.
"Any chance we could rent one of those mystery rooms of yours? We've got some serious issues here and need to get out of view for a while." she pulls her belt pouch open and digs inside for her coin purse.
"Name the price and we'll be out of your hair. We've got some serious bathing to do around here." Her tail gives the Alchemist a little spank as she finishes the sentence.
Tam finds something to stop up the bottle and places it in an inside pocket. She backs-up and gives him some room, saying, "Sure. You don't know me and I don't trust you. Keep whatever it is to yourself, but I'm not going to jail because of you."
Elwin searches the assassin, and finds 200gp, a silver dagger, and the same map as Tori and X...with the same 2 marks.
Him and Tam can hear the City guards at the front door, talking to the Dwarf and his old mother. "They're in the bathroom! They started stabbing this Halfling who jumped through the window!"
As Tori held a candle to the larva, it did squirm a bit...
And as her and X walk through the Hanging Chicken's main dining room with the Alchemist, Gavin looks up from behind his counter. The tavern is still rather quiet.
"One of me' private rooms, eh? Well, if it's related in any way to that favor I asked earlier, then go right ahead! On the house..." He tosses Tori a small key. "Fourth one to the left..."

Motioning for X to bring the disgusting drunk along, she grabs pulls the Alchemist along toward the left side of the hall. Finding the 4th door, she turns the key in the lock and steps in, pulling the Alchemist in with her. Letting the door swing wide for X when he catches up, she motions for the Alchemist to stop and surveys the room carefully, making sure everything is safe and seeing what kind of accommodations they've been given.
