Staring in the distance: "If the dragon started snatching people from Phandalin, I fear for any travelers in these mountain ranges... I hope it is not too late for those dwarven prospectors."

One will detract the pan flute pipes and the covering will back to conceal them afterwards One will walk towards Townmaster Harbin Wester and he will say, "Hello. This one wishes to pass on its condolences for the loss that you have felt here today. However, there is some good news...(He will raise his hand to indicate the midwife)...She has been returned to you unharmed, though there was an immediate threat from a manticore it was quickly dispatched. This one has a few inquiries to be answered. Firstly, as the midwife has been escorted to you as requested this one will collect on the aforementioned sum for completion of the task...may this one have it?   Secondly, the manticore that was attacking the lady was looking for the dragon that logically can be determined caused this destruction that has taken place here...do you know of any reason that this manticore would have for searching out the dragon? Lastly, where might one sell manticore meat?

"Ah, yes" *Hands each of you 25 GP* "I'm not really sure about anything with this manticore or the Dragon, the dwarves always have an appetite for strange things, so you might be able to sell it there"

Gronk will wander over to the job board, not wanting to be around the funeral for too long.

The Quests are now:

Dwarven Excavation Quest. “Dwarf prospectors found ancient dwarven ruins in the mountains southwest of here, and have been working an archaeological dig seeking treasure and relics. They need to be warned that a white dragon has moved into the area. Take the warning to them, then return to Townmaster Harbin Wester to collect a reward of 50 gp. Difficulty, 1/3”

Loggers’ Camp Quest. “Deep in Neverwinter Wood, along the river that flows west toward Neverwinter, is a logging camp. Every two months, Phandalin delivers fresh supplies to the camp, which is run by the half-brother of Phandalin’s townmaster, Harbin Wester. Barthen, the local provisioner, has prepared a new delivery. He needs someone to bear the supplies safely to the camp. Return to Harbin Wester with a notice of delivery signed by his half-brother, Tibor Wester, to claim your reward of 100 gp. Difficulty, 2/3”

Gronk will wander back to the group. "The dwarves still need help. Or there's somethin' about taking supplies to a camp in the woods." 

Always looking for efficiency One will ask, "One has a simple solution...depending on the direction in which the supplies need to be taken the route may take the group towards the task of informing the dwarves of the dragon, once both tasks have been completed collection of the sum offered can be completed." He will look Townmaster Harbin Wester and say, "Are these two tasks in the same direction?"

"No, it would take half a day south to get to the dwarven site and 2 days north to the camp"

"I would choose going to the dwarves first. I must admit I am very curious to see the excavation site."

After hearing what  Townmaster Harbin Wester had to say about the directions for each task One processes this information and says, "Then another solution present itself." Returning to the group One will say, "This one is proposing that the group diverges itself into two in order to complete both tasks. The first group would set out to deliver the goods for the logging camp, according to Townmaster Harbin Wester it is a two day ride, which would leave enough time for the second group to finish their task and meet up with the first group while they are encamped for the night in order to finish delivering the supplies." 

"NO, not again! Not again." Gronk will yell before quieting and then wandering off, head hung low.

(Holy crap that's actually a really good plan to get it done faster that I did not imagine!)

Eyebrows raised in surprise at Gronk's reaction, Wilkas addresses One: "Was that because of what you said? Maybe we should favour safety over efficiency until we grow more confident in our skills."

Hearing Gronks disfavor in the plan that was stated and Wilkas' question One needs to process further calculations and with a quick whirring sound and a flash of the neon eyes One says to Wilkas, "Perhaps someone other than One should talk to Gronk, as this one can not formulate another plan without the logical conclusion already designed and this one does not wish to upset him further. This one will attempt to modify the plan to ensure all party members are safe and adequately compensated for skill expenditure...please excuse this one." One will then walk towards the market in order to ask questions to the shopkeeper.

Bwadle has been following along in reverent silence. He'll chime in. "'v'got it" (sorry, color not working). He'll then follow after Gronk. "Gronk. Wai'up."

Gronk will have stopped to sit after finding a quiet spot. He's currently sitting down, staring at the half-finished carvings on his axe. He nods to acknowledge Bwadle's presence. 

Having entered the shop One looks around to see if he can find the shopkeeper.
