Torwen will smile at Victor and say: "Aye we will have some time in town. I think we should return the stolen goods first as they are on the back of the wagon and the wagon will stay with Gundren's supplies at Barthen's."
Torwen will look at Kierro and say: "Aye, I slept well. We were just discussing our next course of action. I suggested returning the stolen goods then Gundrin's supplies."
When Toblin brings our breakfast he will ask: " Could you tell me if Sildar has risen yet? Also, who do we need to speak with at the Lionshield Coster- We found some of their property that needs to be returned to them."
As you all gather downstairs in the common room, more locals are coming in for breakfast and the room has a pleasant background hum from all the conversation. Toblen and a young woman are all darting around, serving tables as quickly as possible. When he spies you all, Toblen comes over, a bit rushed, but still smiling and pleasant. At Victor's question, he smiles, saying, "Of course, another mulled wine. Breakfast is bread with bacon this morning." He looks at Torwen. "Lord Sildar was up and gone before the sun this morning, but he left word that you all are to come see him at the Townmaster's Hall after you've finished your duties this morning. As for the Lionshield, Linene runs it, so I suppose you'd need to talk to her. I'm sure she'll be glad to have her property returned." He bows quickly and heads towards the kitchen.
As he leaves, Torwen, you feel something tugging on your pants leg under the table.
Under the table, grinning up at you, is a small boy. He leans forward and says in a loud whisper, "Are you a real adventurer? Carp told me he found a secret tunnel, but only real adventurers could use it."
Torwen grins at the boy and says: " Well, little one yes we are adventurers , at least I thought we were before you were able to sneak up on us hahahaha you might have the makings of an adventurer too! Tell me who is Carp and where does this secret tunnel lead?
Torwen looks at Faywen and says: " We have a little friend with important information about a secret tunnel but we can only use it if we are real adventurers it seems."
The boy's eyes gleam with delight at Torwen's words. He begins talking, words almost getting jumbled as he hurries to get them all out. "Carp's my best friend - he lives on the farm - found a secret tunnel - but there's bad men - like the Redbrands - he can show you!" he says without taking a breath. Just then, the woman arrives, arms loaded with steaming food and mugs. As she is passing the items round, she spies Torwen leaning under the table and immediately leans down herself. "Pip! I've told ya before not to bother the customers! Back into the kitchen, you scamp!" she scolds.
The boy climbs out from under the table, chastened, but eyes still sparkling. As he turns to leave for the kitchen, he says, "Don't forget the tunnel!" He turns and hightails it out of the room. The woman smiles at you all and says, "I'm sorry, I hope he wasn't a bother."
Torwen looks at the woman and say's: " Don't worry Ma'am young Pip was no problem. In fact it was refreshing to meet a lad with such energy. If I may ask....who are these bad men - Redbrands I think he called them?"
The woman frowns at Torwen's words and looks around a bit uneasily. She leans closer and says in almost a whisper, "The Redbrands are the ruffians who've moved into town and are trying to take it over from the good folk who live here." She looks around again, and in the same whisper, says, "Thel Dendrar, a local woodcarver, stood up to the Redbrands a ten day ago when they came by his shop and leered at his wife. They murdered him. Several townsfolk saw it happen. The Redbrands grabbed his body, and now his wife, daughter, and son have gone missing too."
She straightens up with a shaky smile on her face. "It's given some townfolk hope, seeing the likes you today," she says, nodding around the table to the rest of the party. "Eat up," she says, "for I know Lord Sildar is expecting you at the Townmaster's Hall." She gives a quick curtsy and moves on to the next table.
Torwen says to the party: " These Redbrands sound like a menace. I wonder why the authorities do nothing about them? Maybe Sildar will have some news or someone at the Townmaster's Hall can shed some light on them. I will go hitch the oxen so we can return and deliver the stolen goods and supplies. Enjoy and finish your breakfast and I will meet you at the stables."
Torwen will pay for his meal and head out to the stables to ready the oxen.
Victor speaks up, "Let's go talk to Sildar and let him know what we have found out and then we can take care of what business we need to take care and then we can look into this Redbrand business. Then we can discover the town a bit more before we leave again. I honestly would not mind staying here as long as we are able, a nice bed and good food is most agreeable."
[OOC: Will be driving for most of today and not able to post, will try and get back online as soon as I am able but won't be till like 6 PM PST this evening.]
You all meet up in the stable, Torwen having gotten the wagon and oxen ready. Anyone can give you directions to the Coster, which is south of the inn.
You head to the Coster. Hanging above the front door of this modest trading post is a sign shaped like a wooden shield with a blue lion painted on it. It is fairly early in the morning and it is quiet.
Torwen will smile at Victor and say: "Aye we will have some time in town. I think we should return the stolen goods first as they are on the back of the wagon and the wagon will stay with Gundren's supplies at Barthen's."
Kierro comes downstairs. ”Good morning, you two! Sleep well? Maybe we could ask around about that castle after we deliver the supplies to Barthen.”
Torwen will look at Kierro and say: "Aye, I slept well. We were just discussing our next course of action. I suggested returning the stolen goods then Gundrin's supplies."

Torwen thanks Toblen for the information and breakfast. As he begins eating he feels a tug at his pants leg....he bends over looking under the table.
Under the table, grinning up at you, is a small boy. He leans forward and says in a loud whisper, "Are you a real adventurer? Carp told me he found a secret tunnel, but only real adventurers could use it."
Faywin agrees we should get to the Lionshield Coster and return these items. Torwen what is it that has you so captivated under the table?
Torwen grins at the boy and says: " Well, little one yes we are adventurers , at least I thought we were before you were able to sneak up on us hahahaha you might have the makings of an adventurer too! Tell me who is Carp and where does this secret tunnel lead?

Kierro stifles a laugh as he sees Pip run off.
The woman frowns at Torwen's words and looks around a bit uneasily. Kierro helps Torwen with the Oxen.
((So the plan is to meet up in the stable, head to the Lionshield to return the stolen goods, then head to Barthen's to drop off the wagon?))
Victor will be along for the ride.

(Sounds good to me.)
