It is sundown, approximately 9PM. Your questions get you pointed at an incredibly busy looking dwarf with a shock of red hair. "Looking to know who is in charge? I'm Castellan Escobert the Red. I'm running the defense, but Governor Nighthill," he nods towards a blue-tuniced human who has some minor injuries, "is in charge of Greenest. You brought in Linan Swift and her family, didn't you? He'll want to talk to you." He begins leading the way.
[[OOC: Sorry I've been dealing with RL stuff.
I'm modifying some things to bring the adventure inline with the revised version releasing soon. To that End, You all gain a level and are now level 2!

"Greetings 'Red'. Yeah, that was us, I think." Rizen speaks rather matter of factly, focused on the task at hand. He nods regarding going to meet the Governor, looking to his new companions to ensure they come along as well.
OOC: No worries, DM. Been busy over here too. Yay level 2! Archery and my first spells!
Grim will follow with the rest of the group, he changes the grip on his warhammer holding it up by the head instead of just sheathing it and tries to clean it as they walk with a piece of cloth he pulled from his belt.
You are led to a human male of about 60 years. He greets you, "I am Governor Nighthill, and I wish your visit here was under better circumstances. Come walk with me" he says, leading you into the tower of the keep, "we can see more from up here." The right side of Nighthill’s face and head are bandaged, his right arm hangs in a sling, and his light blue tunic is stained with his own blood.
He leads you up to the parapet of the tower, and describes the scene to you. "The raiders have isolated the keep from the town with encircling groups of guards, but they haven’t organized an attack. Nighthill thinks the raiders don’t intend to attack the keep; they seem interested only in loot. The real danger is to the town and to those people who didn’t make it into the keep before it was cut off. Escobert and I would like your assistance on some missions to try to help those outside the keep. Can we count on your aid?"

Rizen is in a fairly serious mood and inquires "What has the dragon been up to?" "Any sign of potential leaders amongst the invaders?" "I will help where I can, but seek an opportunity to deliver a larger blow, and will probably take it if given the chance."
Rowanoak speaks up from the back of the group. "I will help out where I can. These fools should learn that ransacking a town only leaves bitter survivors."

Grim finishes cleaning his warhammer as Nighthill talks and nods when he asks his question Of course I will help, unfortunately my casting has been exhausted for this day, but my arm still has a lot of swings left in it.
"The dragon, thankfully hasn't been doing too much, just flying around and scattering strong point. I'm surprised it hasn't done more. It doesn't seem the raiders are after destroying the town so much as gathering loot. Let me show you. We need info, and any lesser officer would do for interrogation, so if you can capture one and bring them back, it would help immensely." He walks to the edge of the parapet and points out to you a gathering of a dozen cultists a few hundred feet from the keep. A female human in purple robes appears to me in charge. See her there, she appears to be the leader, but I'm not sure we have the strength to get to her directly."
"What I would ask of you now is to help us with maybe collecting more townsfolk and sneaking them into the keep. I'm gonna ask you to go back to Escobert, or scarlet-headed castellan for direction in how best to sneak out and into the keep."

"Anyone in particular need rescuing? We'll keep an eye out for your beauty in purple as well, Governor."
Assuming the Governor doesn't specify and person or place to go to try to rescue more citizens of Greenest (or even if he does, barring further discussion), Rizen will report back to Escobert for instructions.
[[OOC: Sorry for the delay some family feline issues. :( ]]
You are led back to the dwarf you met before, the one with the shock of bright red hair.
"Nighthill wants you to run commando missions, eh? Brave folks. We have a sally port up here but it's kind of obvious. I wonder if we could use the old water tunnel, it leads from the basement of the keep out to the stream." He leads you into the tower and points out a set of stairs leading down. He pulls a key off of the massive keychain he wears and entrusts you with it. "That should open the lock on the grates and doors."

Grim turns to the civilians, Here ya go. try and get somewhere safe until this blows over.
The keep is a hive of activity. However, it is a place of peace compared to the outside.
Everyone may take an effective long rest as reward for reaching the keep.
