“This tribe, including Ser Mary and Roccar, as well as Fumbles and other fallen and all who align with us in this room are part of what I was trained to protect and honor as a soldier. I will carry forward with any task needed to protect all that has been built.”
Aradurk takes the gem, nodding his head in appreciation, and touches it to his armor. “May this protect me so that I may protect the rest”, he says in a short prayer to Helm.

Those who touch the orbs to their weapons or armor feel a pulse of powerful energy almost rip the orb from their hands. The objects receiving the orb's magic begin to glow, and suddenly, Aradurk and Tanakir's splint armor each contain a slight metallic hue, fitting to their form perfectly. Any chips or imperfections in Karst's shield are gone, replaced by a thick black wood that looks and feels impenetrable.
When Rycider takes on Glendale's appearance, Killian nods, "Whatever it takes. Keep her safe."
The mind flayer appears at Ritska's side out of thin air. "Sssssshe iissss here," it garbles. Ritska hands the cloaked figure a piece of parchment, ripped from a book or journal, with handwriting on it. "H" seems to rub his tentacles over one another, a horrid visage. "Ahh, Denorian ponders the source of the Elder Elemental Eye. A classic," it says.
Ritska points toward the door. "Go. Ser Mary has arrived through Roccar's portal. Get her away from Roccar and over to Bohmar's. We can figure out how to handle Doramor once she is safe," she says.
OOC: Each character has received 100 XP. Karst's shield has temporarily become a +1 shield. Aradurk and Tanakir's armor has temporarily become +1 splint. Those who did not use the orb have had it added to their inventories.
"So be it, we will do this together, and hopefully end this. Although I feel uneasy about betraying Roccar's trust I think you may be correct." Karst replies to Tanakir before following Killian out of the door.

Wes applies the gem to his wand. Following the others “Maybe we should send someone ahead to Bohmar’s to make sure it’s safe. signal if it’s safe or not for Mary.?”
"Two is better than one. With the toads about we should avoid being alone, we can't trust ourselves. I will go to Roccar or Ser Mary, I may be able to move them if choose to go against our plans."
Tanakir waits for everyone to be a fair distance away from Ritska before speaking in a hushed tone, "I do not know to whose ends we are working. This Ritska person seems untrustworthy to me, and I fear that if we capture Ser Mary and bring her to Ritska, we may be playing into Doramor's hands. He may have eyes and ears watching, waiting for us to weaken or bind Ser Mary, and then he will strike. Or Ritska might even be working with the mastermind, I do not know enough to count that option out.
I think that our efforts would be better spent protecting Ser Mary from whatever Doramor throws at her."
Killian pulls up and turns to stare hard at Tanakir as the group rushes towards Roccar's safe house. In an uncharacteristic rush of words, the tall warrior chides the other paladin, "Now is the time to trust your faith, and your instincts. If this is anything like the last time we tangled on Ritska's behalf, there will be little time for self-doubt unless you find yourself spitted on the end of some creature's lance. Then you will have all the time in the world."In a whirl of long, dark hair and travel-stained cloak, she turns and continues down the street.

Tanakir stares right back at Killian, "I have no faith in someone who uses children as tools, even out of supposed necessity. And perhaps she does not truly believe Ser Mary to be necessary to the survival of Luruar as she says, and believes necessity requires her to turn over Ser Mary to stop Doramor's rampaging. Do you know her well enough to vouch otherwise?"
Killian pulls up again, rounding on Tanakir. "I do not know Ritska well at all, except to know that she will use anyone to her ends. But her ends are the same as yours, I believe. Perhaps we should let this Ser Mary speak for herself, unless we wish to keep stopping and talking while she waits at Roccar's hideout?"

Tanakir raises an eyebrow as he continues to walk, "We can walk and talk, I'm sure. These times have made me much more suspicious of others and their intentions. We can ask Ser Mary, though I doubt anyone knows the whole picture of what's going on here."
OOC > I was pretty sure we were running/jogging, no? That was Killian's intent, at least.
Killian has talked more in the last thirty seconds than she did in the entire previous campaign (maybe) and she's not comfortable with that. She turns on her heel and jogs off towards Roccar's safe house, ignoring Tanakir's logical doubts.
