Killian wakes early, prepares herself by nipping a quick drink from Bohmar's stores. She gladly outfits herself in her own equipment, and places her battered shield on her back. Hefting her longbow, she checks her quiver.
"I can lead either group. I am neither as strong as some, nor as stealthy as others, but I can hold my own. Then again, I have made a reputation in this town, and my presence may be missed if there are any locals involved. I will go with... your name is Tanakir, is that correct?" She pulls her long hair back off her armor.

"If we are using this bait to catch our prey, we need to make sure we can trap him once he has committed to the bait. What can we do to trap him here? Do we have anything that will keep him from using magic to escape?"
While traveling to the dock, Gruun gingerly removes the wrapped Orb from Ritska from his bag and holding it as far away from himself as possible, gently presses the Orb into his Greataxe.
Gruun's greataxe and Killian's armor begin to glow as the pair press the orbs given to them by Ritska against them. Gruun's axe, already of fine magical quality, becomes even sharper and sturdier, its balance almost impeccable. Killian's armor seems to mold further to her body, sealing small gaps and providing additional protection.
OOC: Removed glowing orbs from Gruun and Killian's inventories. The greataxe and splint armor they were used on have a temporary +1 bonus.
What's next? It sounds like the party wants to split into two groups. If so, who is in each group and where are they each heading?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rycinder will join the stealthier side and break away to find a good spot to spy on the proceedings, looking for folks from the other side who might be doing the same.
Wes will hang back to be in the sneaky/out of the immediate danger group. Before splitting off Wes will offer to Tanakir. “I know you have no fear, but there are certain advantages to not being seen. I could turn you invisible if you wish.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC: So we have two groups, one scouting ahead all stealthy-like (Hox, Rycider and Wes) while the other marches to the docks in an obvious manner (Killian, Aradurk and Tanakir, who is invisible. I'll assume Gruun is with this group as well).
The waves wash quietly against the pier when you reach the eerily silent waterfront. Luskan's usual bustle of ships, crewmen, and dockworkers has been replaced by the quiet and attentive guards of Doramor Grimshackle, the halfling Oathbreaker. Eight death slaadi flank the armored halfling, and two massive cyclopes stand like menacing towers behind him. I rotating gem, shaped like an icosahedral ruby, floats near his head.
OOC: I'm assuming Hox is moving about the rooftops thanks to his wings. Are Rycider and Wes with him, or do they prefer a different approach to the docks?
For Aradurk, Gruun, Killian, and Tanakir:
You halt your march a fair distance from the main road that leads to the docks to allow your companions time to scout the situation. The streets are still dead silent, so the abrupt voice that beckons from a side street seems exaggerated.
"Doramor will suspect an ambush."
Ser Mary, kneeling in a meditative pose, pulls a glowing purple gemstone from a pouch at her side.
"I almost rushed in headfirst last night, just to force a confrontation...but your words of caution stayed my hand. I've thought long and hard about this since. There is a way to fool him," she says calmly.
Rycider, a little too large for rooftop par-core, takes a wide and varied birth to the waterfront. If she deems it possible, she will try to make it behind Doramor, either by stealthily boat hopping or swimming. She will try and disguise her mind as a curious octopus in the harbor.
Wes would’ve preferred to not actually been scouting, bunch just trying to find an area with a vantage point and away from the melee. He would perch up on one of the rooftops, allowing Petunia to fly with Hox.
Once the gems are touched to everyone and no slaad is revealed, Ser Mary answers Aradurk.
"Your words, and Ritska's fears, are correct, I believe. I promise not I will not risk myself, but I cannot watch any more innocents die in the name of the greater good. This must be the end, one way or another."
In the blink of an eye, Ser Mary draws a glass shard from a destroyed building and brings it to bear - on her own hand. Her finger falls to the ground, still wearing her signet ring. She takes the pain with a grimace, placing her intact hand over the wound and muttering a quick prayer. When she pulls her hand away, the fresh wound has been sealed.
"Now he'll never see you coming. Take this and fake an exchange to get close to him. He does not know your character. Make him believe that this is a simple deal between ruthless people - his own kind. If he has any doubts, he can verify that this is the real thing. My ring is magically bound to my finger, after all."
For Hox, Rycider, and Wes:
OOC: The layout of this area of the docks is such that Doramor is standing with his back to open water. A hundred feet to each side, there is a large ship tied to the docks. This whole area is in open view, so Rycider's best bet would be to approach from the water, as the docks are a massive area of the city and one could easily find an unseen spot to jump in. How close does Rycider want to get, and does she want to use one of the ships for cover, or chance approaching closer in open water?

Tanakir nods to Wes, "It may give me the opportunity to get closer to our foe, if he himself appears. I will not turn down an advantage."

If hox would allow it, yes.
