The wound Cora received from the goblin healed up completely. "Thanks."she said to Athela, looking at the rip in her coat, which would be easily fixed. The excavation pit appears to also function as a holding area. A warforged corpse lies at the bottom of the pit, its head struck from its shoulders. Eleven other warforged in various states of disrepair sit chained together on the pit floor. The whimpering appears to be coming from the shed. The wooden shed contains a small child covered in dust, wearing the once-fine, now-ruined livery of a House Orien. The boy sobs, shrunken into one corner, his face slack. Stale bread, smelly water, a pile of rags, and a chamber pot round out the accommodations.
"Hello," Athela says softly, looking around at all the warforged. "We're going to get you out of here, okay? Cora, Mia, can you two start on the chains? Carefully." She wheels herself into the shed, keeping her hands spread on her lap and hoping her wheelchair will help convince the boy they mean no harm. "Hey there. I'm Athela. Are you Caden?" Her face is gentle, showing no sign of the fury raging in her. I am going to kill every Daask member at this dig site. They're really living up to their name right now. The Monster's Eye indeed...
Willow follows after Athela, remaining calm and as unthreatening as she can. Her eyes scan over the little boy and she kneels beside him, taking out a spare rag and her water pouch, moving to carefully try to clean his face. "I am her sister Willow. We're all here to get you out." If his eyes linger on her tail or ears she'll smile. "They're very soft if you'd like to pet them?"

When you return Caden d’Orien safely to his father at Unicorn Estate, Alden is overjoyed. Now that his son is back, he opens up a bit more about what REALLY is going on.
"Niho Koi is an imposing oni and Daask sub-boss in Sharn. He ordered a half-ogre lieutenant named Garra to assemble a team and search the ruins of Old Sharn for arcane relics at the behest of someone much higher up in the organization - I don't know who. With a lot of ground to cover beneath the City of Towers, Garra kidnapped my son, forcing me to use my position in my dragonmarked house to recruit out-of-work warforged — people no one would miss — to scour Old Sharn’s ruins. I branded the work as a “secret research-gathering mission” for my house, paid the warforged workers for their silence, and signed them to binding contracts.
It took several weeks of dangerous exploring and a few deaths, but eventually the warforged workers found a library of arcane texts and schemas buried in the ruins. These items were moved to a Daask safe house in Tavick’s Landing near the Terminus Lightning Rail station. The organization plans to smuggle the relics out Breland to Droaam with my help - but I want NOTHING to do with it anymore. I almost lost my son.
Coal, was a destitute warforged hired by me, she witnessed her good friend Razor die, executed in the ruins of Old Sharn as an example to the other workers. Coal made an appointment to talk to Sergeant Germaine Vilroy of the Sharn Watch, to report the shady operation, Razor’s murder, and the kidnapping of the son, Caden. Thanks to crooked members of the Sharn Watch in Daask’s pocket, Garra found out about the appointment and dispatched killers to prevent Coal from ratting out the operation. That's where you all began.
Now it's time to take out Garra. You should reach out to Vilroy first and let her know of the situation."

Vignette thanks Bea for her healing words, and then stealthily (6) checks out the area around the shed (Investigation: 19). What are the digging here for?
Athela keeps Caden in her lap the entire way back to the Orien mansion, making sure he has someone just hugging him. She only relinquishes him once they arrive at the house, and instructs the servants to make sure he gets something hot and gets to bed, probably with a sleeping draught. Once there, she listens to the explanation gravely. "I see. Thank you for sharing, and now you should focus on helping your son to recover. Should Daask reach out to you again, please contact us." She frowns at the others. "We need to talk to the Sergeant and get this dealt with." Before Dask decides to take vengeance against Alden...by hurting Caden again.
You are given the address of a Terminus apartment in Lower Tavick’s Landing that Garra uses as a safe house and a place to store the books and schemas found in Old Sharn’s ruins. You make your way to the Sergeant's office. As you cross a bridge that views the city from a dizzying height, you hear a familiar voice from above. “Need a lift?” asks Sergeant Vilroy as she descends toward you in a skycoach.
Mia will follow behind the others, activating a sense out of habit as she walks.

Vignette, embarrassed, slowly raises her hand as Willow asks who needs healing...
"Ouch! Oi took a big thumpin' in dat scrap!" she meekly whimpers, as crimson continues to spill from a gaping wound and pool around her feet.
Last to know and first to be blamed...
As a free action, can I regret my life choices?

Caden is nearly catatonic from his ordeal. The six-year-old simply sits and stares in to the middle distance, mentally and physically broken.
"All right." Athela gently lifts the boy into her lap. "Let's get you home."

Something seems a little off, but you're not exactly sure what.
Mia would give the Sergeant a respectful bow in greeting and offer to wheel Athela onto the sky coach when she’s ready.

"Where to?" Vilroy asks.
Sensing that something is a little off with Vile-Roy as well, Vignette refuses to get into the coach.
"'Hey, how 'ave ye found us so quickly? 'Av ye been followin' us?! ... Quiz time - what's me name? An' what's 'er (pointing to Cora) name?"

The skycoach took off towards Terminus.
"What amazing timing, what, with you here and everything." Cora noticed, *****ily.
Vilroy was unfazed. "Of course! I work for the Sharn Watch. Knowing things is my job!”
Cora nodded unconvinced. "Uh huh. Lets just get this over with, ok?" she said, drawing her blades.
"If you so say!" Vilroy put her fingers up to her mouth, and let out a sharp whistle. Five gnolls emerged from the cabins and drew weapons.
Cora groaned very loudly. "Fine. Before we get started, any of you mother ****ers wanna get o-"
