After the fight is over, Willow calmly sheethes her rapier with her uninjured hand before there's a slight pause. She then abruptly curses in Elven.

She then calms herself down a little, biting back the stinging pain in her wrist before she moves to follow after her sister. She places her uninjured hand on her sisters chair. "Maybe... We should rest? I think a few of us need it."
"Okay, no." Bea retorts to Athela, getting up slightly from the ground irritated at the thought of continuing to move forward. "We're tired, we're tapped, we need to rest. I almost died, your sister's wrist is still broken. Garra can wait." The blonde remains on the ground, unwilling to move, mainly due to her body screaming for her to rest. "If you guys wanna continue, fine, go ahead, walk to death's door, but I'm staying here."

Willow takes a step back from Cora with a glare. "Touch my wrist and I will end you Cora." She draws her rapier with her okay hand defensively, her eyes narrowed on Cora. "I just need someone to heal it with magic so buzz off."

Athela stares back into Bea's eyes, her own unreadable. After a moment, however, she inclines her head. "Of course. My apologies, I allowed my emotions to get the better of me. You're right, we should rest." She closes her eyes, taking several deep breaths. "Mia, perhaps you could assist Willow with her wrist? Cutting it off is not the answer, Cora. Willow, put the sword away. I'll take first watch." She wheels herself to the edge the group, silently chiding herself for acting so rashly and remembering her lessons.
Six years ago...
Selyanna sat before her mother, listening to Dannel's words. "And you must always remember, a queen puts her people before herself. Even if you are angry, or upset, you must remember that your actions will have consequences for an entire nation. That's what started this whole War, Mishann's siblings putting their own ambitions above the good of Galifar."
Selyanna shifted. "But Mother, I'm not going to be Queen! Irio's your heir, and after him Oargev. I love the lessons, but...why bother giving them to me?"
Dannel smiled sadly. "Oh Selyanna. We are at war. Nothing is certain. Irio and Oargev could die, and then the crown would fall to you. And Arabella has made it clear she has no interest in taking the throne. So I must prepare my three children who are. In war, we must be prepared."
Selyanna bit her lip. "Mother...are we losing? After the Valenar secession, so close after Darguun..."
Dannel tilted Selyanna's head up. "No. We may be at a low point now, but not for long, never for long. Even now, our Cannith allies are hard at work in Making, creating something that will turn the tide of this war in our favor once more. Cyre is in the right, and we will prevail."
Selyanna nodded, giving her mother a smile. "Of course we will. I'm sorry for doubting us."
"Oh, don't be sorry, my little orchid." Queen Dannel of Cyre wrapped her daughter in a hug. "Doubt is all right. In fact, I would be more worried if you were sure we would win, after a century of war. But we must put that doubt aside, for our people. Which brings us back to the point of today's lesson. Your people are more important than anything else. Anger, fear, despair, those are all fine to have in private moments. But when you are leading, you must always put your people first."
Athela bowed her head slightly. "I'm sorry, Mother," she said softly, raising her head to gaze back at the small group resting behind her. "I must remember to put them first."
Cora scoffs, your attempt to indicate how dangerous you falling on deaf ears completely. "Ooh, easy there, scary fox, lets not exaggerate - I've seen you fight. You sure did show that wood panel a thing or two."she puts her blade away, turning to Athela. "Just trying to help."
Willow eyes Cora for another second before she rescheathed her rapier and looked to Mia, an almost thoughtful and sad expression in her eyes. "If you could it would be greatly appreciated." She moves to sit on the dock beside Bea, lost in a memory she remembered so well. If Mia would come to heal her wrist, she would let her, silent nonetheless.
Arabella wiped the sweat from her brow, the cuts and scrapes bleeding along her body. Infront of her Nikoli stood, hands bandaged and in a defensive position. "Strike. Strike. Dodge. Strike. Jab. Bella. We've went over this." Bella, panting slightly, narrows her eyes. "We've been doing this for hours now Nikoli."
Nikoli narrowed his eyes. "And we'll be doing it for hours more until you get it right. Again!" He moves his arms to block his body while Bella readied herself. She felt the anger inside her. The want for this to be over with. The annoyance of not getting it right. It fueled her as she pushed herself foreward, moving to strike at Nikoli. He blocked her every attack, shoved her back when she was supposed to dodge, and frowned. "Again!"
Strike. strike. Missed the dodge. Again! And again. And again...
Bella had reached her breaking point, her attacks rougher, fueled by anger. She wanted it to be over. She was putting her force into it. Perhaps even too much force.
Within seconds she felt the stinging pain shoot up from her leg and the wind on her face as she tumbled onto the wet ground.
Covered in dirt, she felt Nikoli assist her into a sitting position as she rubbed the dirt and sweat from her eyes. Her breathing was hard as her fingers dug into the cold wet grass. She studied his features as he crouched infront of her, unable to focus on anything else before a wave of pained heat coursed up her leg from her ankle causing her to let out a pained hiss.
Nikoli tsk'd slightly and she now realized his hands were on her foot and ankle. "You let your anger get the best of you Bella. It's sprained." She hissed every time he moved her foot slightly, feeling her ankle for a moment before looking into her eyes.
"You can't let this happen in battle Bella. You'll be less of use injured and it only puts you in danger. Control your anger. Channel it into your focus. Or you'll just end up injuring yourself again."
After a moment he stands, dusts himself off, and gathers their things, placing them into his pack. "I'll carry you back. But have that looked at by the healer." Bella let out a frustrated sigh and grumbled from the ground. "You know I hate seeing the healer. She always treats me like a child. They all do"
Nikoli gives her an amused smile. "Enough. We're not going to get into one of your rants again Bella. Come here." He moves to crouch beside her, picking her up bridal style. They travel in silence for a while before Nikoli speaks calmly. "After all of this. You're welcome to join me. Live with me. Whenever you'd like. Just promise me you'll stay safe and control that feisty temper of yours?"
For a moment she didnt answer him, the silence surrounding them both, but she knew he was right. It was what she had to do. To keep herself safe. Her people safe. Her future ahead of her.
"I promise."
And yet here I am, uselessly injuring myself again and causing strife all because I can't control my temper. Easier said than done... At least I have someone to keep me in check. Even though I wish she didnt suffer this fate.
Willow glanced at Athela, seeing her also lost in thought, that twang of guilt always present deep inside her.
Mia sighs, resheathing her sword. "I've been planning to assist Willow with her hand since I heard it snap, if only I've been given the chance." She feels her voice getting snappy, feeling impatient with the party. So much chaos. She'd pinch her nose to calm herself down and regain her composure.
The half-elf would walk over to Willow and take her wrist in her hand. Her hands were strong, but surprisingly gentle and she'd whisper in elvish, "Lotesse sina me'a sila tiri ar' panya lle quel." Mia's hands would warm and radiate with light. (Lay on hands x 3)
Translation: "May this light shine bright and set you right."
She'd walk away towards Bea and kneel down, taking her hand in hers. "Revar. Sar akh vian lida." The same warmth and light would radiate from her hands. (Last 2 lay on hands)
Translation: Rest. We need your strength.
Mia would let go of her hand and get up off the ground to walk towards the exit to the next area would be. She'd stop a few feet away and plop her ass down on the ground, cross legged. The half elf would cross her arms as well. Silent. It was as if she were offering to take the second watch.
During her watch she'd flip through her various senses to see if she could learn anything about this place: Divine Sense, Detect Magic, Detect poison and disease.
When it was her turn, she'd be quiet and alone for her rest. No reflection. Just darkness when she closes her eyes.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cora didn't need to rest. She looked around. The large platform at the top of the tower was crowded with a diverse crew of humanoids. The prominent dock jutted out from the tower, overlooking the crowded bridges and streets below. An unoccupied sky coach with a dragon-shaped prow is chained to the south platform. While the others rested, she explored a 10-foot-wide outdoor spiral staircase that wrapped around the tower containing several taverns and shops that sold souvenirs and gifts for the city’s visitors to bring home to loved ones. The stair lead from the skycoach platform to the roof of the tenement tower. She peeked into area T3 and T4 and found private apartments.
"Hm.." she said to herself, looking around slowly to see if anyone was looking. Wonder who lives here. She kneeled and peeked though the lock.
Investigation: 18
The first apartment seemed to belong to an old woman. The other apartment looked disorganized and smelled of tobacco. She could see the shapes of Kenku inside. More than one. Now, that's odd. She tried the door handle, slowly, carefully, quietly. The room was unlocked.
Seeing the rogue slipping off, Athela quietly wheels herself after Cora. "Find anything interesting?" she asks softly, keeping her voice to a bare whisper. "Is it occupied? We don't want to get in a fight right now, unfortunately."
Cora startles violently as Athela speaks. "******* shit. You scared me. This door is unlocked. There's kenku inside.. Do kenku uh..live here? In this place?"
Athela frowns. "Well...they exist, but they're pretty uncommon. We shouldn't attack, though, not while the others are resting." Her eyes rest on the impromptu camp for a moment before she returns her gaze to the door. "If anyone gets hurt - well, more hurt...we're basically screwed. Bea and I are both out of magic, and I'm pretty sure Mia is too."
Cora reluctantly agreed. She had seen what magic could do, and even though she didn't completely trust it, she knew enough not to argue against it. "Alright."she said, and returned to the main group with Athela.
Willow, snapping out of her thoughts, glances up at Mia as the pain in her wrist vanishes. "Merci Beaucoup. It's greatly appreciated." She watches Mia move to Bea and makes herself comfortable on the dock ground. Assuming they were resting there for the night, she looks up and studies above her, silent in thought before she eventually falls asleep, her body grateful for the rest. Of course, out of habit she'd be one of the first people up, but the sleep was well put to use.
