Athela sighs. "I'm not okay," she says softly. "I miss the palace, and our family, and...I just miss home, Willow. And the idea of someone wanting to restart the war that took all that from us, for profit, is just..." She shakes her head. "It was bad enough when we were fighting for our rightful crown."
Willow nods and sighs, looking out at the mist. "I... know. I'm sorry I brought you along for this. Since the beginning. But... I'm glad you are here... I don't think I could deal with all this without you. Even if I do act like the older one sometimes. But I agree. A war is not what we need. But people will be how they are designed to be. Selfish. It's up to those who put others before themselves to prevent greed. People like us.... But there's only so much we CAN do." Willow lets out a slight sigh, nibbling her bottom lip in thought. "But remember, I do have somewhere we could go. Away from all of this if we wanted. Away from Cyre in general..."
Willow glances away, the look of hope hesitant in her eyes. This had been a conversation the two had discussed before. But it always ended being brushed off. The possibility of leaving Cyre with Nikoli. Willow wasn't even sure how Athela felt about it. Not truly. Although she did have her suspicions.

Cora lets go of Angelica roughly, and she squeaks as she hits the ground. Cora glares at her one last time with a warning of death, and leaves the Captain's cabin to join the others for some fresh air.
"Apparently there is much I need to learn about this world.."she half said to herself.
Athela smiles softly at her sister. "I know. But...it wouldn't feel right, 'Bella. This is still our home. Our birthright, even. We have people we are responsible to, even if they're scattered across the Five Nations. We even have other family, even if he...wouldn't recognize us. It wouldn't feel right to just turn my back on our people."
Willow offers her sister a slight smile and nods, looking out at the mist. "I... understand. But the offer still stands."
Willow's thoughts drift vaguely. This had never been her home. Sure, she was born here, but that didn't make it home. Her heart wasn't here. She had never been one for regality. For being an heir. These may be her people, but they wouldn't accept her. That's one of the reasons she... left. But she wouldn't leave her sister. Not after what they've been through.
A small sigh escapes Willow's lips as she stairs out at the mist, tapping a finger to her knee lightly.

"Maybe after we're done with this trip, I'll feel differently," Athela says to her sister softly. "And even if not...a visit to Aerenal might be possible, depending on how this turns out. Besides..." She gives her sister a small, sad smile. "You shouldn't stay just for me."
Willow doesn't look to Athela but a slight smile comes to her face. "You left just for me... Why shouldn't I do the same now?" She thinks for a moment before giving her sister a slight laugh. "Besides... Depending on how this all works out, there may be no need to leave anyway. Although a vacation would be nice." She moves to lean back on her hands slightly and look out at the mist before back at her sister. "Although we can't always stay here. Unless there's a way to fix... This." She gestures to both of their bodies with a slight smile.

Looking at the ship's chronometer, Vignette suddenly realizes that it's 5pm. She quickly disappears down the stairs, heading to the galley. A few minutes later, she reappears, this time bearing a tray loaded with mugs filled to the brim with ale. "Oi tink we've al' 'ad enoof excitement for wan day. 'Tis 5:00pm...time for 'appy 'our! Drinks, anyone?"
She'll then walk around, handing out steins filled with cold, frothy ale to her fellow adventurers and crew mates.
Athela smiles back at her sister. "True. We'll figure it out, though. Maybe our next stop after this is over should be Aundair. We could see if the Arcane College can change us back."
She accepts the ale from Vignette with a nod and a "Thank you, Vignette." She takes a long sip of the ale, sinking back into her thoughts.
Willow waves off the ale with a polite smile before looking back at Athela. "Perhaps. Although I'm getting quite used to these." Sge waves her hand at her ears and tail with a laugh.

Athela laughs. "Fair enough. They certainly suit you." She glances at the others, sipping their ale at varying points on deck. "They all seem like good people...but we don't know much about them," she says softly. "They know we're Mourners, but...should we tell them the rest?"
"Oh why thank you, sugar." Bea smiles as Vignette gives her some ale then watches Cora gulp it down with no problem, impressed. "Did you know I used to be able to drink five pints in less than a minute? I was a wild child back then." She giggles as she sips on the beer. "Still a lil wild now, but I ain't never been much of an ale drinker believe it or not. Did it for the attention if anything."

"Yes."Cora says to Bea, "They are. Can't you tell? The resemblance is uncanny."she turns to drink her ale, but can't hold it in and laughs into her mug.
Athela laughs. "Yes, we're blood sisters. We were in Cyre on the Day of Mourning, and it...changed us," she explains simply. "But I can assure you, we are both full blood sisters, born to the same parents."

"The mists changed us both. So now I'm a half-orc, and my sister is a shifter. Nobody would recognize us...not even our own brother." Her face turns a little sad.
Athela sighs. "I'm not okay," she says softly. "I miss the palace, and our family, and...I just miss home, Willow.
