DC 15 Wisdom (Survival) or Intelligence (Investigation) to search the cargo hold!

Willow does a quick search around the cargo hold, speaking slightly hushed to Athela. "You're upset. I can tell. If we could have landed anywhere else I would have made it so. But we're here now. And I'm here for you. So relax. It's okay." She lightly pats her sisters hand before returning to her search.

"We're on Lake Cyre," Athela says quietly as she searches. "If we turned east, we'd hit the summer palace after half an hour." She starts searching quietly. "I know you didn't have a choice. And I'm not mad at you. Just...this is hard. We're so close to home. Metrol is right behind us."

While the others investigate the cause of the explosion below decks, Vignette works to clean up the mess that was made when the ship fell from the sky.  Starting in the galley area, she'll pick up all the dishes strewn across the floor, clean them, and return them to their neatly stacked shelves.  Whilst doing this, she'll attempt to listen in to all the crew chatter, trying to see if she can gain any insight into who (or what) caused this.  (Investigation: 11)

Once done cleaning up in the galley, she'll search out for Dr. Octavius (the ship’s surgeon), and assist him with any medical aide he's giving the crew. (Medicine: 16)

Athela, you could have sworn you saw movement in the back of the hold. Someone is down here.

Athela glances at her sister, angling her head towards the back of the hold where she saw the movement. "All right, come out now," she says levelly. "I see you." Frost starts to form around her hand as she waits patiently, eyes fixed on the movement's location.

A bolt of fire launches out from the shadows, roaring towards Athela!

"Whoa!" Cora barks, drawing her blades, "What the ****!"

A small female goblin mage pounces out of the shadows and attacks!

Bea raises an eyebrow at the goblin mage after fixing her hair and bodice despite it now being sticky with tea. “I guess someone has a death wish...”

Athela glares daggers at the goblin. "Hello, you *****."

Willow also turns her attention as her sister becomes quiet, drawing her blade along the back of her neck, it lighting up with white frost. When she sees the firebolt, she blocks it with her blade before growling at the goblin. "Seems like we have a stowaway. Subdue her."

Willow growls slightly at the goblin, fur covering parts of her body as sharp claws emerge on her fingers, hands gripping the blade of her weapon tightly (shifted fox form). She then moves to dart at the goblin to bring her rapier down on her.

Bea unsheathes her rapier and breathes, "Let's try this again." And she strikes!

You thrust right into Cora's upper back shoulder, and with she throws back her head with a loud "YIIIIEEEEE!!" she spins to you with a look of shock.

Athela whacks the goblin across the head with her quarterstaff.

Your quarterstaff, Athela, knocks the goblin caster right on her bum bum, and she lays there, groaning, half conscious.

Athela wheels herself right next to the goblin and neatly places her quarterstaff on her throat, not strangling her, but pressing down just hard enough to make it clear that she can. "Now," she says levelly. "What...exactly did you do to the ship, and why?" Her voice holds tightly restrained fury and grief.

A message scrawled in paint on one of the walls reads: “Death to the Cannith warmongers. The Last War will not be reignited.” 

"This is an experimental ship! House Cannith is developing experimental warships, armed with powerful elemental spell cannons and overcharged elemental rings designed for lightning-fast travel. House Cannith..always trying to maneuver itself into a position of power, doubtlessly trying to create weaponry that will allow it to win the so-called Last War’s inevitable successor. The Celeste Noir and her predecessor, the Ciel Rouge, are both experimental warships! Such a conflict will wipe Darguun and the goblinoid people off the map."

Athela's eyes flash with alarm at the goblin's words, but her quarterstaff doesn't move. "And you tried to crash the ship why? In order to destroy it?"

"Yes..!" the goblin says, spitting.
