Let him go.  Give paper to Naomi "Master Fini has returned but will be leaving again. He has offered to sell us his stock and perhaps even his store and I assume house. I think we can sell the stock but maybe a bit early to expand the business. He is coming over later and we can discuss things and give him money for the stock we sold."

Naomi first looks happy and then sad at Guilliame's description of Fini's movements but then she steps behind the counter and pulls out a small purse and says, "I kept the proceeds from the sale of his stock separate from ours. We will need to split it up."

She gives the purse to Guilliame and then says, "It is lunch time. I have a half a loaf of bread and some of that sausage left. There are also some apples. Does that and a cup of char sound okay?"

[OOC: Does Guilliame take a look inside the pouch? Does he start splitting up the proceeds?]

Check inside the poach to get a rough idea how full it is.

[OOC: The pouch is probably larger than I suggested it might be in that the majority of the coins are copper. However, he also sees some silver and a significant number of gold coins in the purse, which makes sense because at least one of the pre-made books was sold while Fini's wares have been on sale here in Masterful Mixtures.]

Pop the pouch under the counter and wait for any customers while lunch is being prepared.

While Guilliame waits for his lunch there is a single customer who comes in looking for a number of pots of willow bark salve, which is one of the shop's standard preparations.

There are currently only two pots of salve available and the customer wants both and tries to bargain the price down to 7 lions for the two, and will take more as soon as they are available.

"Just a minute. I will check when we are getting more stock."

Pop into kitchen and ask Naomi whether there are ingredients and when she was planning to make more.

[OOC: There are no regulations governing goods in Engle, except for water, where each person is guaranteed 10 litres of clean water per day by the crown for free (see here). Also, Masterful Mixtures would be one of the few places in Constantine that makes and sells this item and so the price is mainly driven by market forces.]

Asking the customer to wait, Guilliame heads back to the kitchen to ask Granny when she might be making more of the willow bark salve.

"There was no willow bark to be had at the markets the last two times I have been," Granny says in answer to Guilliame's question. 

She then goes back to cutting up the sausage she mentioned earlier but stops after a moment to say, "What do you want it for? Perhaps my own salve would do? Though it should not be put on open wounds or eaten."

"I'll check. I won't sell our stock below price though."

Go back.

"You can have both but there is a shortage so that will be 8 Lions. Do you want to take some salve that will work fine as long as the wounds aren't open or it is digested."

The customer thinks for a moment and then, pulling out his purse, says, "My patients have problems with their teeth, so I am not interested in this other 'salve' you mentioned. However, I will take the two pots of the willow bark preparation for 8 lions, and more, as soon as you can make it..."

Fishing out a silver Constantine, he hands it across, "I used to go to the Black Magic Shoppe for this salve, but he is out of business now and I am in need of a new supplier. How soon do you think you will have more stock in?"

"There are supply chain issues possibly as a result of the pandemic. We're doing all we can but I can't say exactly when when stock will arrive. Sorry about that."

The customer ignores Guilliame's comment about a pandemic and asks if a message can be sent to him as soon as more stock is available. He tells Guilliame that his family name is Sanza and that he is a noted physic specialising in the treatment of teeth and that he has rooms in the Mercantile District called Sanza's Treatments.

He then turns to leave but then stops and asks for his change.

"I will certainly let you know as soon as there is new stock."

Hand over 2 Lions.

[OOC: Presuming Guilliame adds the Constantine to the cash box, I have updated the number of coins in the box to show this transaction.]

"Thank you," says the customer, who then offers his hand for Guilliame to shake. "My name is Goriel Sanza. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated."

"You are welcome. If you have any other regular requirements let us know and we will see about how best to meet them. Good day."

Sanza hurries off with his two pots of salve and shortly thereafter Granny comes to the door wiping her hands on a towel.

"Lunch is ready,' she says. "Why not bring the takings for Master Fini's goods with you and we can separate out his cut... Do not forget we have to come up with the 5 Engles to pay your School fees before the end of the month. Perhaps the sale of Master Fini's stock can go towards that."

[OOC: Does Guilliame close up the shop while they are in the back or does one of them keep an eye on the door while they eat. If you like, they can have a little bell over the entrance to signal when the door is opened.]
