"Guilliame, how do you feel about a pot of Stemian ale? It also gives us the chance to have a quiet chat with Master Brock, the tall chappie over yonder at the bar corner. He's the owner."
Guilliame briefly closes his eyes as the two of you begin walking towards the bar. The room becomes quiet as the gathered people see Handleader Wallus.
[OOC: Andrew, I need you to roll a Perception check, an Area Knowledge check, and an Insight check for Guilliame, the Perception check will be with your Mage Sight active.]

Reaching into my money pouch, I pull out the price of two ales and clank them on the counter. I nod to Bran Brock: "Evening Master Brock, pots for me and my off-sider." I notice the silence in the bar but that is pretty standard when a handleader is around. I am hoping that my quite obvious intent to have an ale provides some reassurance to the tavern crowd.
[OOC: I still need a Perception check for Guilliame. Your other rolls might tell you more when I know the result of the Perception check.]
What Guilliame's rolls tell him:
Area of knowledge: 15
[OOC: There seems to be an unusual mixture of people in this tavern for a drinking establishment associated with a stockyard and the local farming community.]
Insight23
[OOC: Guilliame and Handleader Wallus have entered through the door near the bottom left-hand corner of the map.
The main group around the table immediately to Guilliame's left seem to be mainly bulky, strong-looking individuals. Fortunately, they seem to be in good general spirits and to be enjoying what is going on.
A group of people sitting apart at the far table next to the stairs initially react suspiciously to the arrival of Handleader Wallus. Then, in response to an unheard comment by one of them, they relax and start pretending they haven't noticed her.
A skinny youth sitting on one of the stools near the now-vacant stage to the right of the door also started suddenly upon seeing the handleader, but he smiles nervously at Guilliame when he notices Guilliame's gaze on him.

To find out more about the value of these coins in this campaign setting, see here andhere.
Dora would have placed a lion on to the bar for the drinks.]
"Good evening, Handleader," says the man—a gristled-looking Stemian man with a hook instead of a left hand—behind the bar with a smile. "A visit from the watch twice in one night. It is good to see our tax money at work."
[OOC: FYI, Brock is probably referring to the two handsmen Dora sent this way earlier in the evening: seehere.]
He then turns and calls out to someone behind him, saying, "Namé? Two of our finest ale for the handleader and her companion."
[OOC: I have subtracted the lion from Dora's possessions. One lion should be sufficient to buy 2 mugs of ale.]

I take a sip from the pot, "Master Brock, this is Guilliame, an appointed auxiliary of the City Watch. Guilliame this is Master Bran Brock, the keeper of this inn."
"We are taking a quiet walk around the Ward to show Guilliame the ropes."
Taking another sip, "how is business tonight? It looks like you have a new sport?

[OOC: In most cases, it won't be a problem. However, if something else is going to occur, I will note it in my description as not happening.
If you find yourself waiting for Andrew to respond, I have no problem with you asking out-of-character questions about the setting as that could be also useful to both Andrew and myself. However, if it is something that Andrew's character wouldn't know, then I will make it a spoiler for your eyes only as I have done below.]
After being served their mugs of ale by Namé—a striking young Sorendenese woman—Dora introduces Guilliame to the owner of the tavern. However, Guilliame's attention seems to be elsewhere at the moment.
Dora's Knowledge of Namé:
[OOC: Dora believes that Namé, as an attractive Sorendenese woman, is far too upperclass for this place. But she and her rather plain-looking Sorendenese husband Manus have been working for Bran here at the Shepherd's Rest for a couple of years now with Manus doing Brock's books.]
"Yes," says Bran in response to Dora's question. "An arm-twisting competition. It looks like it might become a regular thing here."

Did you have a look at Dora's current worth in the 'Other Possessions' tab on the 'Inventory' section of her character sheet?
For Dora's knowledge only:
Dora's Current Wealth: 4 Engles, 1 Constantine, 5 lions, and 5 cubs.
If a lion, which is 1 one-hundredth of an Engle, buys two large mugs of ale, this gives the coin an approximate value of $10 in our money. This means Dora's acquired savings are significant. Even though it is only a small number of coins, I don't believe she would be carrying that amount of money on her person while working.
[OOC before buying the pots I was carrying 2 lions and 5 cubs. The other 3 lions are hidden in my quarters. The Engels and Constantine are in the Bank of Engle.]
"That's a new one to me Master Brock! How does it work?" I glance at Guilliame looking for some indication of whether he has picked up anything untoward.
[OOC: In no particular order, Guilliame sees the following; some of it through the benefit of his Mage sight.
Coin is being exchanged between various members of the lookers-on around the main table.
A large Sorendenese man getting up from the table is rubbing his arm and looking rueful. Guilliame believes he might have just lost some sort of competition.
He was sitting opposite another burly Sorendenese man who is being congratulated by one of the onlookers.
The second Sorendenese man is wearing a grimy shirt with what looks like bloodstains on the cuff.
Also sitting at this table is a robust-looking Stemian man, who is currently studying the second Sorendenese man with a calculating look. This man has a faint aura of magic about his head.
There is a man standing near the table with a large pottery crock in his hand. He seems to be waiting for something.
In the corner of the room to the left of the large fireplace, Guilliame can see what looks to be the travelling belongings of two people, which include two rather serviceable spears—a breach of the laws against carrying major weapons in Constantine.
The youth Guilliame saw near the stage also has a faint magic aura.
The group of three sitting apart near the stairs seem to be dressed more like sailors and dockhands than farmers and cowhands. One of them also has the aura of an innate sorcerer of about the same power level as Velma.
Finally, the barmaid who brought the drinks for Guilliame and Handleader Wallus also has a magical aura, also of about the same strength as Velma's.
[OOC before buying the pots I was carrying 2 lions and 5 cubs. The other 3 lions are hidden in my quarters. The Engels and Constantine are in the Bank of Engle.]
[OOC: Noted and I have made adjustments to Dora's character sheet to this effect.]

Brock smiles and in answer to Handleader Wallus' question, says, "Watch on and we will show you."
He then turns to a man standing near the table that is the centre of attention and says, "Jon. Start the next round. See whose turn it is."
The Stemian man, who is carrying a large pottery crock, then begins approaching a number of the men around the table. They reach in and pull out rounded stones. The majority of stones are black in colour and the response to picking these stones is non-committal. In fact, it is not until the sixth stone, a white one, is drawn that there is a different reaction.
The sixth man, a Stemian man with multiple tattoos on his brawny arms, smiles and says, "Okay, which of you dirt grubbers is going to be my first victim?"
No one replies and another two men draw stones from the crock, with the second man drawing a second white stone.
This man, another Stemian, just smiles and calls out, "Barkeep! Bring on your grog and let the better man win."
[OOC: Most of the people involved in this activity are all fully attentive to the above, which will give Guilliame the opportunity to convey some of what he might have seen to Dora. However, as this was a significant amount of information because of his high roll, I would like this to be done in character rather than just looking at the hidden information.]
For Guilliame's eyes only:
[OOC: The second man chosen was the man with the faint magical aura and the calculating look mentioned in your previous move.]
Quietly to Dora: "Handleader, there are two spears that need permits over there." (pointing) "The man stepping up to the contest has some magick power so he may bend the rules a bit. I'll keep an eye out."

I would suggest she would actually have the most valuable coins either hidden somewhere at her home (a very Stemian thing to do) or secured in a bank, of which there are two in Constantine: the Bank of Sorenden in the Temple Ward and the Bank of Engle in the Mercantile District.
Please let me know which coins Dora would be carrying on her person and where the rest of it is.
