With the disappearance of the four, Brock returns his weapon to its hiding place below the bar and then says, "Yes, I should have some barrel bungs that you can use. Hang on a minute and I will go and see if I can find a couple." Brock then disappears into the room behind the bar leaving Dora and Guilliame alone at the bar for the moment.
Meanwhile, Jon has settled the two contestants down for their bout and the two look at each other for a moment before the farmer, sounding both a little confused and concerned, asks, "Are you ready for this? I do not want to take advantage."
The townsman initially seems a little shocked at his concern but then nods and replies, saying, "I am good. Let us get this over with."
[OOC:
Townsman's Roll:9
Farmer's Roll:8
]
The struggle is long, however, eventually, it is the townsman who finally wins.
Groans and cheers resound around the taproom as Brock returns to the bar and places a hammer and two cork bungs onto the bar.
"Who won?" asks Brock, looking past Dora towards the table.
In response to Guilliame's comment, Brock looks at him strangely and then asks Dora, "Where did you find this one, Handleader? He sounds like one of those actors in a comedic play."
"Brock!" interrupts Jon, approaching the bar. "It is the final match, we need the shots of grog."
Looking back at the table, Dora and Guilliame sees Canna almost miss sitting down on the stool opposite the townsman as the two meet at the table for their match. However, he is caught by his sister, who it seems has finally taken an interest in the result of the competition.
Meanwhile, Brock quickly pours two shots into wooden tumblers, which Jon takes back to the table.
"Are you sure neither of you would like to place a wager?" asks Brock casually. "A Constantine on the local. The lad is too young and he cannot hold his drink like the other man can."

From where they are standing, Dora and Guilliame can see both participants in profile. Canna looks drunk but excited while the townsman look reserved and is studying his opponent carefully.
"Sorry about this," says Canna as he offers his hand to his opponent. "But I have to win this one for my sister. She made me promise."
The townsman's gaze flicks up to where Wilma is standing at Canna's back and says, "I am sorry little sister but fairy tales do not always come true in this city."
He then places his slightly smaller hand in Canna's and a silence falls over the taproom until Jon says, "Start!"
[OOC:
Canna's Roll: 17
Townsman's Roll: 19
]
The two men strain mightily against each other, neither giving an inch for several breaths. Then a look of panic appears on Canna's face as he begins to give ground.
"Come on Canna," says Wilma urgently. "You can do this."
Canna rallies, but the look of determination on the townsman's face never changes and slowly he forces Canna's arm back until suddenly the young man's strength fails him.
The taproom erupts with cheers, and of course groans from those who lost their bets, and Dora and Guilliame hears Brock say, "Told you he would win."
What Guilliame saw:
[OOC: As far as Guilliame could see there was no magic cast by anyone during the competition. However, I am going to class that check as a fail and roll for experience for Guilliame; a roll greater than 14 will be classed as a success.
Experience roll:8
Guilliame gains some experience, which I have added to his character sheet.
]
What Dora saw:
[OOC:
Dora saw nothing untoward in the contest, but she does notice that while Canna looks all red in the face, the colour of the townsman's face is unchanged.
]
"I am sorry young man," says the townsman to Canna. Then he looks up at Wilma and says, "Do not be too hard on your brother. He put up a good fight."
The townsman then get to his feet and looks around the room. "Innkeep!" he shouts, turning towards Brock. "A mug of ale for everyone. Take the cost from my winnings."
This largesse on his part is readily accepted by the onlookers who immediately begin to head towards the bar.
"We will hammer these bungs onto the points and leave the spears here."
Step closer to Guilliama then quietly "But take a look at Canna - his face so red. Then look to the Townsman as fair as a baby in a portrait competition. I sense there could be foul play afoot here. What do you think?
With the arm-twisting competition having finished, the patrons of the taproom begin to spread out into separate groups to enjoy the mugs of ale that Brock's staff begin to distribute. As part of this general movement, Canna and Wilma take their mugs over to the corner where their gear lies and it would seem Wilma is commiserating with her brother over his loss.
Meanwhile, the townsman, nursing an apparently sore arm comes to where Brock is at the bar. "My winnings please, Innkeeper," he says as Brock passes him his mug.
Brock reaches down below the bar top and brings up a pottery dish and tips a small pile of silver Constantines onto the counter, from which he extracts one, and replaces it with 2 lions, adding, 'For the round of ales."
The townsman nods, thanks Brock for running the competition and scoops up his winnings. He then turns and looks around the room obviously looking for Dora because he smiles when he sees her and moves towards the two of you.
