I continue running back to the Shepherds, ignoring the lantern near the trough, perhaps I will collect it on the way back to the cattle pen but I need to see why Guilliame has stayed at the Shepherds.

Behind him, Guilliame hears someone say, "Excuse us. We would like to get through."

Looking round, Guilliame sees Hazluk and the two men called Pallo and Nabarak the Butcher standing behind him with Nabarak carrying a lit torch.

Step back into the pub to let them out.

"Watch your step out there, sir."

I keep running to Guilliame. As I run I yell  "Guilliame, over here".

[OOC: Andrew, Guilliame's Dancing Lights cantrip would now have finished.]

Start a new Dancing lights and look for Dora.

I draw up beside Guilliame, breathlessly "there is possible a young man fallen down in the cattle pen. Is there anything urgent here?"

Recasting his Dancing Lights, Guilliame uses their soft light to cross the road and meet up at the fence.

Meanwhile, the three men with the torch start making their way in the direction of the city. At this distance, Dora can see that it is Hazluk and two of the arm-twisting competitors: Pallo and Nabarak.

[OOC repeat Dora's previous move and question now that I am near Guilliame.]

To Guilliame, breathlessly "there is possibly a young man fallen down in the cattle pen. Is there anything urgent here?"

"Nothing at all. I was a bit concerned about us both running into an ambush so I left it up to just you. Let's go and have a look shall we."

"Lets run." I start running back to the stockyard with the cattle.

Dora sets off back across the rough surface while Guilliame climbs the fence and follows afterwards at the trot.

Reaching the opposite fence, their various lights reveal a similar-sized yard half full of cattle nervously looking in their direction. There is no immediate sign of the fugitive.

[OOC: Assuming Guilliame sends his Dancing Lights out over the yard, I would like both of you to make a Perception check.]

Andrew: FYI, Paul and I have improved Dora's Ability scores to make them more like a Player character's.

What Dora sees:

Near the middle of the yard, Dora sees something small and black against the grey of the well-trampled dirt. Also, as Guilliame's Dancing Lights move out to cover more of the yard, Dora catches a hint of movement just beyond the far fence. Movement as if something, or someone, just ducked down below the level of a water trough that lies just this side of the fence.
