[OCC: The centre of the road is only 20' from the entrance to the inn. If Guilliame wants to keep his leading globe of his Dancing Lights near the fugitive, he will at least need to progress to the fence across the other side of the road. This will require him to use both his normal Move and his Action as a Move, though he will still have 25' of movement left to use if he does do this. This would lead to the following range chart:

Once it is apparent pursing will involve running off into the dark nether regions return to the pub leaving Dancing lights at the closest point possible to the pursuit (which sounds like not very.)
Having realised that his Dancing Lights are of no use to himself because of the distance they are from him, Guilliame retreats back to the entrance to the inn after pushing the four globes out as far as they will go.

The Perception check should have been made at Disadvantage because the light from Dora's lantern and Guilliame's spell is not powerful enough to show the details of the herd of animals on the other side of the field.

Dora approaches the fence and climbs it so that she is now straddling the top rail. At the very edge of the light from her lantern she can see the running figure of the fugitive, but she can see no further than that.
[OOC: I am subtracting the remainder of her Move (i.e., 10') as she attempts to make out the nature and disposition of the herd (Rules as Read: a Perception check called for by a player in combat should cost their Action). Dora can now still use her Action to do a Move. However, she has lost ground on her fleet-of-foot quarry and won't be able to catch up to them this turn.
[OOC: Even though he is still maintaining his Dancing Lights at a distance, from Guilliame's position at the entrance to the inn he would be aware that Hazluk has left the seat where Dora put him and is now talking with two of the arm-twisting competitors. One is the Stemian man Brock referred to as Pallo (seehere) while the other is the Sorendenese man called Nabarak the Butcher (seehere). The three are close to the door and look as though they have just come to some sort of agreement.]

[OOC: Hi Paul. Dora succeeded. However, it was much a much easier roll for her than for the fugitive because she is carrying a lantern. I asked for a Dexterity (Perception) check. This means rolling a d20 and adding your Dexterity bonus (+1) and your Proficiency bonus (+2), if you have proficiency in the Perception skill, which means Dora's add-on would be 3 because she is proficient in Perception. The fugitive rolled at Disadvantage for their last roll because they had no light source to help them see, whereas in the past Dora had both her lantern and Guilliame's spell and so does not roll at Disadvantage.
